Hi to Everyone, and thanks for the introductions, Ron and Rick.
I started this group about 3 years ago, in hopes that local webmasters would
be better acquainted and learn from each other, plus the community of web
sites could be crosslinked and people surfing Whatcom County online could
find what they are seeking. Back in 1998, I was surprised how few
businesses and community services had web sites. Now there are more, but
it's a jungle.
I also started a Web Ring, with the same name and spirit of bringing
webmasters together---Whatcom Web. Some of you might be aware that the
original webring on webring.com was moved to yahoo, and recently moved
back...so I just migrated it and fixed the link. If you're interested in
joining the webring, make sure you add the navigation info to your page.

My goals for this year include revisiting my old pages to update the links,
and upgrading my skills so that the sites are more dynamic and
database-driven. My own web work has been in spurts and stops with all the
other events in my life, but I'm hoping to regroup some effort to improve my
own web sites and coordinate ways in which we can build a user-friendly
cybercommunity.
Your comments, suggestions, and exchanges of info are appreciated. Best
wishes for 2002!
