I am not clear on this Vixen mount. Assuming your mount does not have the "typical" Vixen dovetail, you might look into the Stellarvue.com Vixen adapter....

I don't think I agree. Processing is not going to cause perfectly spaced 120 degree lines around a star. I would guess there is something in your optics train ...
