RE: [Windows_humor] Finding your computer ipaddress

Hi,

Unfortunately, if your Internet Provider hides you behind a proxy server, as mine does, you get the ip address of the proxy server.

To get the actual IP address of your PC open a command prompt window and type:

ipconfig - for a cut down report that shows your ip address

ipconfig /all - for a full report

Subject: [Windows_humor] Finding your computer ipaddress

Hi,

www.debianhelp.co.uk is a web site that automatically detects and
displays your computer's IP address(This is provided by your Internet
Service Provider). This can be helpful for configuring a computer on a
network, setting up communications software, or troubleshooting an
Internet connection. Your Internet Service Provider or IT help desk may
ask you to visit this site when you're having problems with your
Internet connection

Thanks
