World Wetland Network is an initiative of NGOs working in wetland conservation issues, from bird protection to habitat management, from research to ecological education, also involving local communities in decision-making regarding wise use of these ecosystems.

This initiative was started at the 10th Conference of Parties of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, in South Korea, in October-November 2008.

Our forum is a platform for communication about wetland related policies, projects, research, conferences, financing of projects, promoting a constructive debate at global level.
