Besides the fact that it's a fiddlehead, I can't id it much more until it
unfurls. Its very fuzzy and cinnamon color so it might be cinnamon fern -
Osmunda cinnamomea.

It is a "fiddlehead" (young frond) of a particular fern species. Not sure which species of fern it is though.,,, Cinnamon Fern maybe??? Peter Peter C. Osenton...
