That fits with my memory too. <ccmp> support for Latin was implemented
at the same time, I believe. Although we are here talking about <ccmp>
vs <mark>/<mkmk> as contrasting techniques to achieve a goal, the <ccmp>
feature can also be used to *de*compose individual glyphs into
base+mark(s) combinations, and so may also work in combination with
dynamic mark positioning.
