What Does It Cost To Operate A Network Marketing Business?

As we know a network marketing business is real because
there are people earning six-figure incomes with it. This
means however that you will have monthly expenses operating
one.

In this article we will take a look at how expensive it is
to start and operate a network marketing business of your
own.

The cost of joining a multi-level marketing business will
vary from one company to the next. Generally speaking you
will be able to get started for under $100. We encourage
you to look at Internet based network marketing businesses
which have lower costs associated with starting them.

When you join the business opportunity you will be given a
website to promote. Most companies offer a system where you
can promote either retail products or websites to sponsor
people.

I would like to suggest you start your own blog and use it
as a pre-sell or review page before sending traffic through
to your company provided site. WordPress offers many
excellent themes and the best blogging platform for your
blog.

You should arrange to host it yourself so you can control
everything about it. You can find website hosting for under
$20 a month. If you can type you can blog!

You may want to pay someone to set your blog up for you.
This can generally be done for under $50.

You should join an auto responder company such as Aweber
and work at building a mailing list for your prospects.
This will run you around $20 a month.

Initially you will need some prewritten messages to put in
your autoresponder. You can hire that done for you for less
than $5 a message

So far all we've done is talk about getting set up. You
will have ongoing costs for hosting and your autoresponder
of around $40 a month or less.

At this point you should be spending your time promoting
your blog and driving traffic to it. You may want to create
a landing page and use it to build your mail list with.

Lead generation is obviously one of the largest keys to
having a successful MLM business of your own. Your network
marketing company will help you with this.

You want to learn at least one quality paid method of
advertising. This could be pay per click advertising, ezine
advertising, classified ads, or so on.

You will also want to learn one quality method of free
advertising. For this we suggest combining blogging and
article marketing.

In reality you can easily run a network marketing business
for under $100 a month. As you begin to make a profit you
should reinvest some of that back into advertising and
promotion.

The #One Thing Every Internet Business Needs

Can you guess what every Internet business needs more than
any other thing? Many people probably could get this right
although I am sure we would get a variety of different
answers.

For example some people probably think the most important
thing is the product. I would certainly agree that without
a quality product it is hard to have a successful Internet
business.

However there are plenty of cases where people are making a
lot of money on the Internet selling sub par products.

Other people may think the most important thing is the
design of your website. I can shoot a hole in that pretty
quick because I have come across websites that looke
terrible and yet the owner was making a lot of money.

Certainly selling top quality products on a poorly designed
website will help you earn more. But these two things are
not the number one thing every online business needs.

After seven years of doing Internet marketing I know for a
matter of fact that the number one thing you must have to
succeed online is website traffic. Even if you have the
best website with best products you will never make any
sales without visitors.

This really is no different than an off line business. For
example I have been to restaurants that were little hole in
the walls. These are the type of places that you do not
know about unless someone refers you or you see an ad.

Yet when you get there you stand in line waiting to get a
table. Chances are the food is extremely good, but how
would you know unless you came in and ate?

The same thing is true on the Internet. You can have a
small little website off in your own little corner of the
World Wide Web and make hundred thousand dollars a year.

You do this through viral marketing, paid advertising, and
free or nearly free promotion methods. This is the only way
your Internet business is going to survive.

If you do not get enough traffic to your website you will
never make any sales. Unless you are doing this as a hobby
not making sales is a sure fire way to go out of business.

There are so many ways to promote an Internet business
today that you really only need to learn a couple of them
really well. Once you do this you will always have traffic
and you can improve your products and website design to
sell more.

Why Joining Affiliate Marketing Programs Is Too easy

I am convinced many people are not taking affiliate
marketing programs seriously when they join them. One of
the problems that contributes to the high failure rate in
affiliate marketing programs is how easy it is to join them.

Let me explain what I mean!

First of all it is free to join affiliate marketing
programs. There are literally millions of them you can join
and you can get involved by finding the good affiliate
network or joining them one at a time.

When people do not have anything invested into something it
is much easier to give up. If you were to invest thousands
of dollars into starting a home business of your own you
would work harder to make sure it is successful.

When you do not have any money invested it becomes easier
to keep searching for the perfect way to make money then to
actually work the opportunity you are in. Therefore people
fail without really giving themselves a fair chance of
succeeding.

Affiliate marketing merchants almost fall over themselves
providing everything you need to succeed. Some of the
affiliate programs today are just outlandish in the support
they offer.

I am talking about unbelievable websites and blogs that are
a prebuilt for you to promote. And you are given some of
the best marketing materials to advertise with.

The graphics and banners affiliate programs make available
today are very eye appealing and extremely well written.
Many affiliate programs offer prewritten blog articles you
can post directly in your blog.

They also offer email messages, classified ads, videos,
podcasts, and just about anything you can think of to
promote your affiliate business. The one thing they do not
give you is the desire and effort to work at using these
promotional resources.

Discussion forums are one other thing that is extremely
easy to use with affiliate marketing programs today. This
gives you a chance to interact with other affiliates and
hopefully keep yourself motivated when you see the success
some of them are having.

Discussion forums are a form of social networking which is
extremely popular on the Internet today. These are easy to
join as well and if you are smart you'll take advantage of
them.

Ultimately it comes down to desire no matter how easy it is
to join affiliate marketing programs today. If you are
willing to work hard, and have enough desire, you can earn
a lot of money in affiliate marketing. That part is totally
up to you.

What Do You Choose?
Copyright (c) 2009 Christine Kloser

In every moment of your life, lies a decision. And, it's
the culmination of these decisions that brought you to
where you are today.

You may be thinking you're thrilled with where you are
today and you wouldn't change a thing; however, I have a
feeling the majority of you reading this article realize
there's more to life than where you are right now. And,
many of you are looking for ways to experience more of your
ama^zing self... you want to realize your FULL potential as
a human being, and as a conscious entrepreneur.

So, I ask you this, "Are you making consistent CHOICES that
are helping you realize your full potential as a human
being, and as an entrepreneur?" Or, are you letting old
habits or patterns and fear-based thinking guide the
choices you make.

Answer this question for yourself now. Take a moment to
think about a decision you've made in the past week. It
can be any decision that has some "energy" around it.
Allow yourself to step aside and observe yourself and the
process you went through in coming to the decision. And,
notice what guided your thoughts as you moved through the
process. It's likely you either don't know what your
thought process was and you just made the decision based on
your former decision making patterns. Or, maybe you're
seeing what your thought process was and realize it may
have had some old "baggage/fear" attached to it.

Since unconsciousness and fear are never good things to
bring into making a decision, I want to share with you a
few guiding questions you can use the next time you are
facing a choice These guiding questions are for any choice
you have to make, not only the "big" ones. So, begin using
them today and you'll find a lot more peace in the process.

1) What do you really want? Often times when it comes to
making a decision, it's easy to forget about what you
really want. Old patterns and habits can cause you to
think about what you should do, rather than what you want
to do. It's important you take notice here to determine if
you're making a decision out of a "should" or a "want."
It's always better to decide out of your wants, because if
you get wrapped up in the "shoulds" you'll make decisions
that bring you further away from expressing who you really
are.

2) What is best for you? Another common default in making
choices, is to make them based on what's best for everybody
else. (This is related to the "should" syndrome.) But,
your true decisions come from knowing what is best for you.
Herein lies a challenge for many people because they've
been so focused on what's best for everyone else, that they
don't even know what's best for them. This will take some
inner inquiry to first identify what is truly best for YOU,
and then make your decisions from that place.

3) What is your higher self saying to you? Sometimes when
you're making a choice, it's easy to get bogged down in the
practicality and the details of the choice. Your
perspective can become distorted if you look at the
decision too closely. It helps tremendously to rise above
the situation, to a higher perspective (that of your higher
self) to be able to see everything that's at play regarding
your decision. From that elevated perspective it gets much
easier to see clearly and make decisions from a larger
perspective rather than from the immediate situation in
front of you.

These three questions are ones I use for myself when I'm
faced with choices in my life and business. They are very
powerful tools for self-reflection and self-understanding
that will lead you to making decisions that are fully
aligned with your highest and best self. It is from that
place WITHIN YOU that you'll get what you need to
experience all of the freedom (and success) you desire.

How I earned £36,990 in 6 days working from home without a mailing list

Are there actually any real home based business out there
that do actually work?

You may well see the adverts 'I earned £250,000 in a
month', all of these types of 'Work from Home' businesses
actually really need you to have a mailing list bank of
over 100,000 subscribers that you can email or broadcast to
on a regular basis.

Has anyone actually made this kind of money? As you are
probably aware there are many many so called "work from
home", "home based business" opportunities out there that
range from multi level marketing programs to god knows
what, all that offer the chance to earn millions for very
little effort, well let me tell you that these types of
business do not exist unless you starts them yourselves, oh
and before I forget these 'I'll make you rich overnight'
programs require you to pay thousand of pounds or dollars
to learn the systems.

Affiliate marketing can be another money spinner however
like I've said before you need 1,000's of names on your
mailing lists where do you get them from without spending
thousands on marketing.

Has anyone actually come up with the goods, starting from
scratch, without a mailing list of any kind, and earned
over £36,000/$50,000 in just 6 days, yes in a word.

Business's that can be run from home by almost anyone
without the need for overdrafts or unlimited funds are
surely unheard of? Well, no they are not!!

You hear of people from all walks of life that are now
making more in a month that they used to make in a year,
that is a reality, simply because they followed a few
simple instructions from someone who knows what they are
taking about.

There are no formulas to this business just simple concepts
that when combined with other ideas and some free marketing
tools, make other home based business's look amateur by
comparison.

What you have to remember that if someone that who used
power tools and their hands all day in the wind and rain or
used to work in a hospital caring for sick people can
acheive financial freedom by following a few simple rules,
anyone can.

Would you like to be one of these who have brought in
&#16336,000/$50,000 in 6 days and continue to bring in this
amount month after month all without leaving there homes.

Those of us that have spent untold amounts of cash on what
can only be described as 'garbage' that have promised us
the earth and delivered just that 'dirt' will be amazed at
how easy this process is, running a home based business
should not be about creating downlines to earn you money,
it should be about an individual running a business that
does not require the actions of others to succeed, it
should be about the actions of 1 to succeed, YOU.

How This Economy Helps Network Marketing!

Some of us are struggling financially, since our economy
has changed for the worse recently. People have lost their
jobs, or they are worried that they might. There is no
doubt that families and individuals have cut back their
spending to more sustainable levels. In short, people are
looking for bargains in just about everything they buy.

According to Nassim Taleb, author of 'The Black Swan' The
financial system is crashing and action must be taken by
the US government to convert debt into equity to produce a
more stable environment. He says 'We're in the middle of a
crash, so if I'm going to forecast something, it is going
to get worse, not better.'

In other words Spending is out of control which in turn is
creating massive debt. The current administration needs to
cut-back on spending. Personally I don't think this will
happen. Congress has no leadership or awareness apparently
on where this financial crisis is taking us!

Retired General Colin Powell, "expressed concern recently
that the president's ambitious blitz of costly initiatives
may be enlarging the size of government and the federal
debt too much".

"Mr. Powell is also quoted as being concerned at the number
of programs that are being presented, the bills associated
with these programs and the additional government that will
be needed to execute them,"

Mr. Powell expressed alarm at "budgets that are running
into the multi-trillions of dollars" and "a huge, huge
national debt that, if we don't pay for in our lifetime,
our kids and grand kids and great-grandchildren will have
to pay for it."

Here is what Lawrence Kudlow said recently. "After nine
months of explosive monetary and fiscal stimulus, you'd
think economic recovery would be upon us. But the June jobs
report tells a much different story."

My concern is that unemployment is just going to get worse
and no improvements in the immediate future.

The picture of economic progress is dim. Especially when
you consider the fact that congress is considering
nationalizing health care and cap and trade. I call it cap
and tax which is what we don't need in this current
downward trend.

You can find lot's more disappointing news if you follow
the business news reports of different people like I've
mentioned above.

Enough of the negatives tho concerning business, employment
and Government spending. Let's be positive and let me
suggest a solution to this so called crisis.

You could consider venturing into a low cost but very
lucrative home based business. A 'work in your underwear'
system so to speak. It's important, especially if you
don't currently have a job, to check into the feasibility
of a network marketing program.

You need to consider a high demand product, low-start-up
cost and use ideas for marketing that doesn't take a arm
and a leg to start. With the utilization of webinars, free
advertising, writing articles and the desire to help other
people is a proven concept resulting in great results.

Small Business Success: You Must Have A Clear Personal Philosophy

Mention the subject of philosophy and many people will
react somewhere between mild disinterest to a yawn.
Philosophy takes hard work. It takes hard work because you
have to think.

And to have the small business growth you desire you must
have a clear personal philosophy. After all, how you think
will determine how you feel. How you feel will determine
how you act. How you act will determine your results.
And, ultimately your results will determine your life.

Yes, having a strong personal philosophy is critical to
success. You can't build a house without a foundation.
And, the foundation for your success is your philosophy.
What is your philosophy?

Your philosophy comes from what you know and from the
process of how you came to know all that you currently
know. Having the right philosophy is critical to your
business success. Why? As each day goes by, you will
choose to do whatever you think is valuable. What you
accomplish at the end of the day depends on what you think
is important.

In the process of owning our own businesses the winds of
circumstance will blow over all of us. We have all
experienced the blowing winds of heartbreak, disappointment
and despair. We all begin at the same point in life. Why
is it that when we all have the same destination in mind
that our ship of life ends up in many different ports?

Have we not all sailed the same sea? Have we not all been
blown by the same winds of circumstance and turbulent
discontent?

What guides us to different destinations in life is how we
have chosen to set the sail. How we choose to set the sail
is our philosophy. The way each of us thinks makes the
major difference in where each of us arrives. The major
difference is not circumstance. It is the set of our sail.
 It is our philosophy.

In the final analysis it is not what happens that
determines the quality of our lives. It is what we choose
to do when we have set the sail and then discover, after
all our efforts, that the wind has changed direction.

When the winds change, whether you are starting your own
business or running your own business, you must change.
Learning to reset the sail with the changing winds requires
the development of a whole new discipline.

It may require a new performance strategy or a new
marketing business plan. Remember, success, whether you
are starting your own business or running your own
business, will always involve going to work on developing a
powerful personal philosophy. A powerful personal
philosophy that will help to influence in a positive way
all that we do, and all that we think and decide.

What about all those counter productive beliefs and
choices? Where do they come from? They come from
misinformation we have accumulated over the years. We must
recognize when we are around the wrong sources of
information.

Only when we recognize that our sources of our information
are incorrect can we shut them off. Only then can we reset
the sail with correct information to move toward having our
small business successful. Correct information will
strengthen your personal philosophy and allow you to sail
to your desired destination.

But understand one thing. This will take time. You can
change your direction immediately to take yourself to a
better destination. But, arriving at that destination will
still take time. And, the best part is that when you know
you are headed to the right destination you build positive
momentum for more opportunities for success.

Thinking About A Management Training Course?

There are several good reason why you should take a
management training course. At a personal level embarking
on such a course will see you improve your personal
managerial and professional skills. In the broader scheme
of things the company you are currently working for will be
enhanced by having a better trained manager on the pay roll.

By enrolling on a management training course you will learn
to deal with new trends and market demands within your
business, be able to make better decisions relating to the
business, manage day to day operations much more
effectively, be able to forecast and evaluate business
trends as well provide better leadership which will improve
the performance of those working under you.

A well structured and taught management training course
will enhance skills that are crucial for anyone seeking to
be more effective as a manager as they learn further
subject matter such as communication, presentation, team
building, leadership and customer service. Learning to
deal with conflict as well as discovering how to get the
best out of your team will also be skills taught on this
kind of training course.

By enrolling on a management training course you are also
benefiting your employer. By employing a strong cadre of
well trained managers, all up to date with trends in the
modern business world, your company is in a strong position
to not only remain competitive, but also grow and prosper.

There are also many personal benefits from taking a course.
You will enhance you chances for promotion and an improved
salary and benefits package within the company. And having
boosted your professional know how rival companies may also
become interested in recruiting you, offering the prospect
of an even better salary and company perks.

Few companies employ their own high powered training
teams, so the chances are they bring will in outside
training teams to run the course. If the course is
organised by your company it is likely that you will be
able to enjoy its benefits for no charge at all. But there
are many personal benefits from signing up for a course
that does charge a fee. By taking a management training
course you are enabling yourself to become a much more
effective manager. That will only enhance your company as
they will be able to boast a managerial team well able to
cope with the rigours of modern day business.

Easy Steps You Can Take Before Changing Your Accounting System
Copyright (c) 2009 Attache Software

Identifying if your accounting software system needs
replacing can be an arduous task. In the nine years I have
operated in the industry I have come across all manner of
situations where businesses are being hamstrung by their
lack of understanding in this key area of identifying when
you've outgrown your current accounting software system,
and how to easily go about selecting the right replacement.

Just some of the more simple flags that will tell you
you've outgrown your current accounting software could
include:

- You are experiencing limited transaction functionality.
There is too much manual data entry. You find yourself
employing more people just to do data entry when these
processes can now largely be computerized. (like
integrating with a web site)

- You have added a new branch, or merged with another
business, and need to have access to key information in
real time, and have transparency across all of your
entities.

- Your current system has started to slow down requiring
you have to continually archive your data and refer to your
backups.

- You have entered new markets or obtained new key accounts
with more complex accounting implications. Such as "Foreign
Currency" transactions that your current system does not
facilitate.

- You find yourself maintaining multiple and disparate
systems to do your core business functions. Like CRM
(Customer Relationship Management), Manufacturing &
Financial Information all being maintained separately and
not integrated to share key information.

More complex requirements around integration can prove to
be costly in both time spent investigating and
implementing, such as:

- Streamlining all your pricing, product and supplier
information across multiple branches or even with key
partners in your distribution network.

- Perhaps you have been asked by your major suppliers or
customers to send you electronic information and your
current system either doesn't, or you have no one who can
offer you an affordable solution.

Identifying what areas of your business that require
attention to their systems is the first step in the
process. The key thing in this identification phase is to
try and quantify those areas. This will allow you to
prioritise your systems needs more accurately, and give you
an indication on a suitable selection, design and
implementation cost to solve that problem.

A recent example with a distribution company, they had an
issue with their telephone sales people entering in the
wrong products at the order entry phase. The goods being
delivered up to 300 klms away would need to be returned,
and the correct replacements sent out at the cost of the
distribution company. This process alone was costing them
more than $250,000 not to mention the good will and
reputation damage this issue was causing.

The solution to this particular problem was to design and
implement a telephone operating system at a price of only
1% of the cost of the problem!

There have been many other instances where the price for
the solution has exceeded the cost of the problem, in which
case changing or integrating new software to cope with the
problem was uneconomical. But bear in mind that a small
issue today can grow and compound further down the track.

Needless to say, changing an accounting system is a
daunting task. Not only will it cause disruption, but
often you will find that the cost of this disruption is
grossly understated. Change is always met with resistance
from current employees. It means having to re-learn a new
way of doing something which they are already familiar.
Not to mention the thoughts of job security that are
inevitable whenever you use the word "systems automation".
And customers and suppliers will also make up their mind
with their feet if your systems cause major problems with
them dealing with you too.

In summary, identifying that you need a new system, or an
integrated solution is the first step. Taking a full
account of all your systems (or lack thereof) and
procedures that are failing, not available to you with your
current supplier or costing you money is the next step.
Quantifying these by laying out the real cost of the
problem areas should then be done. Then you will have a
good basis to create a needs document and prioritize it
quickly. Then your search for an appropriate solution can
begin.

- Acknowledge that you have an issue with your current
accounting software system, and that it is probably costing
you more money than you think

- Take a full account of all your systems and procedures
that could be improved or costing your money

- Quantify these problems so you know the real cost to your
business. And don't forget to factor in the opportunity
cost if it is relevant

- Use this as a guide to start writing out and prioritizing
your needs of the replacement accounting software system

- Contact various vendors in search for a new accounting
suite.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Many people do not like to start up their own business or
market new products, because they do not get to keep all the
money they earn. After all, it takes money to make money, right?
Well, there are ways that you can create a product and market it
to people and keep a 100% of what you earn. It's not as crazy as
it sounds. All you have to do is come up with a product that is
free to make and free to give out.

At the same time, you have to come up with a way to market this
product for free so that you do not have to spend a lot of money
on advertising. It seems like there are a lot of steps, but this
is something that is not hard to do. So now we are going to talk
about a few tips and tricks that you can use to make sure that
you get to keep every penny of what you earn!

First things first, you have to have something to market. If
you are looking to keep every penny of what you earn, then you
are going to have to come up with a product or service that is
free for you to do, but you can charge a fee for. A great idea
for this is an ebook. An ebook is an Internet book that you can
distribute online for free. These books are free to make,
because you can write them yourself.

Also, these books can be about anything that you want. Whether
it's a book on how to market online business or how to become a
writer, you can make an ebook on it. These kinds of books are
great, because they are filled with information that people are
willing to pay for. Some people give ebooks out for free,
however, that is not a smart idea when you find out that you can
make a ton of money out of them.

The next thing that you have to be able to do is find a way to
get your ebook out to people for free. There are many websites
out there that you can do this with. However one of the best way
to promote and sell your ebook is via article marketing. Article
marketing is free. All you have to do is to write niche related
articles. By writing and submitting your articles to article
directories you will get the free exposure you need to sell your
ebook.

By writing only 2 articles every day you can generate a steady
amount of leads for your ebooks. That way you get to keep all
the money that you get for selling the ebook. With an ebook, it
is free to make, and at the same time, it is free to market. So
in the end, you have paid nothing to make and sell this product,
and that means that you get to keep all the money you make from
it.

To Your Success!

Why Am I Here?

That's a question we might all find ourselves asking from
time to time. Or worse, complaining or thinking we should
be somewhere else. You know all those bumper stickers that
say "I'd rather be......" Well, it is a question we should
ask pretty often. The real question that most of us dare
not think about is, "Am I spending these precious
hours/minutes/days of my life doing what is good for me to
be doing?

Do you ask yourself that question? And what answer do you
get? Because if you can't think of a good reason to be
where you are, to be doing what you're doing, to be with
who you're with - then you are in over your head. Or under
your head, as in the case of an ostrich. Where is your
head? That should be on your mind 24/7. It's the only way
to sanity. Otherwise you are making up stories, justifying
(making up stories), explaining (making up stories),
reasoning (making up stories).

Remember the weak link in the chain? How the strongest
chain is only as strong as each individual link? I know the
saying was the weakest link, but I don't want to get into
judgement calls. I want you to think about how strong is
your link right now to what you are doing. How strong is
your commitment to what you are doing? The link's on you.
The link's IN you.

It's not that you have to love every minute of what you do.
Everyone has to do stuff that's not to their liking - but,
the big picture has to fit what you want to do, your goal,
your dream, your reality. If you have to anesthetize
yourself to get through part of a day, you're wasting your
time and probably that of everyone around you.

What can you do to get in synch with what you are doing
right now. Can you tell yourself how you feel without
getting nervous about what will happen when you know the
answer? Can you stand to make a list of what you want and
don't want, what you like and don't like. I'm not talking
about a wish list or a complaint list. I'm talking about
seeing what it is you are doing in a clear enough light to
get some answers about your heart's true mission.

In my study of meditation I've learned that menial does not
equate with lowly. The person who cleans up, edits, cooks
is often more important to the life of
business/monastery/country than the person who heads it.
More than likely the people you know best will be the ones
who make a business function. In my experience, the best
run businesses are headed by someone who is not afraid to
do a small task. I know a very wealthy business owner who
is out in the parking lot every morning picking up
cigarette butts people throw out. His business is the whole
business.

If you can love the small parts of what you are doing
probably you'll love the larger parts. If you can get with
each minute, the hour takes care of itself and your goal
will look more reachable to you. I know they say that about
pennies and pounds too and I hope you'll look for the
shiniest penny you can find in every minute you spend,
whatever it is you are doing. Don't "Just Do It" but make
sure you like the process. It's where it's at.

What does it take to become a successful affiliate marketer?
Many say that everybody can do it? Is it true? Well, yes, up to
a point. Based on my personal observations, everybody with the
following 5 acquirable qualities have a greater chance than
others of success in affiliate marketing.

1. Ability and willingness to read.

Any new affiliate marketer will agree that starting out means
dealing with information overload. There is a lot of information
to digest. You need to learn how each affiliate program works.
This includes, but not limited to, going through the training
programs, understanding the compensation plans, making use of
the marketing aids, checking out the help resources, as well as
continuous research on or off line on related topics. The
reading is instructional and usually reader friendly. If you
read at all and are motivated enough to learn the material, you
should have no problem. If you love reading and read
efficiently, then you are at an advantage.

2. Ability to take actions.

Reading is important, but actions are paramount. There will be
a lot of tips, secrets, and success recipes offered on the
market. You do not have to read all of them to be successful. In
fact, the average set of tips or secret strategies will probably
work wonders if you just act upon them. One step taken is one
step closer to your goal. If you do anything and get anything
done in your daily routine, as an average person does, you have
it in you to take actions.

3. Ability and willingness to maintain a budget.

Many people want an Internet business for free, which, I hate
to break it to you, is not realistic, nor the wisest. Although
there are a lot of free resources that you can tap into (and you
should definitely tap into them), relying solely on them will
greatly limit the potential of the business opportunity you
pursue. Setting a budget (and sticking to it, of course), as in
any business venture, is necessary; it can enable you to make
progress a lot faster. A well considered budget will save you
both time and money in the long run. Serious affiliate marketers
will eventually get a domain name, a web site and a good hosting
service. If you can save $1 a day, which is easy to achieve, you
can get all of the aforementioned, plus some amount of
advertising, for a year.

4. Ability to see the big picture

The big picture consists of the building of steps upon steps
with the final composite translated into financial reward. The
consistent accumulation of the effort is what works, not any
particular action or any miracle turnkey system. Many people
fail because they give up before they build the whole picture,
which they probably didn't see in the first place. If you can
see the big picture (and you should because you are reading this
article), you have an advantage over them as you will know to
focus your energy on building the picture instead of being
distracted by unrealistic expectations.

5. Ability to realize that success is a habit

Advertisements of affiliate marketing opportunities have made
them sound like successes overnight. The truth is, with so many
steps to build upon each other, success can hardly happen
overnight; there is just not enough time. Success is a habit, in
affiliate marketing, in any ventures, and in life. Follow the
discipline recommended in your training consistently. Those who
persevere will be rewarded of their effort. If you choose to get
in the habit, success will come knock on your door. You
certainly have the ability to choose.

In conclusion, the above mentioned 5 qualities are major tenets
in the work ethics of a successful affiliate marketer. These
qualities are not privileges of a few but can be acquired by
anyone with a willing mind. Get the right mindset and focus on
cultivating the habit of success, you may be pleasantly
surprised sooner than you expect.

Ideas for online business
Copyright (c) 2009 Jun Nakano

Today within this article thinking about online business,
we will show you some websites to get you some ideas. When
you are thinking about online business, the best ideas can
come from observing what you think about the subject.
Keeping up with the current trend of online marketing and
business will end up paying you a great dividends if you
can use the information you get.

The first website that we would like you to visit to help
in creating online business ideas for you is
www.clickbank.com. This website is very important because
it has many different products that are for sale so you can
analyze the current trends are.. This will go hand in hand
with what you will learn in the second paragraph because
you have to see how you can improve on current products
that are being offered.

The second website that we would like you to visit to help
in creating online business ideas for you is
www.affiliateprograms.com. This website has many different
affiliate programs which you can join and promote or it can
give you some ideas as to how you could change potential
programs. If you take your time and look through how these
programs are marketed, you may be able to see where you can
make a change and offer a better product. Many of the
improvement that comes from online business and off-line
come in the form of improvements on the current products.
This is what you would be doing if you look at these
affiliate programs. See where you can improve what they
have to offer. Take their program and offer it with a
twist.

Hopefully these two websites have helped you in looking for
ideas to improve on. To get new ideas to develop on the
Internet you will have to take the approach of traditional
business. You must study the marketplace and then create a
product that fills in the current need. If you just create
a product because you think it is cool, that is not
necessarily going to lead to success for you. You need to
see where someone has a need that you can fill and if you
can do this, you will have great sales. See what your
competition is doing to solve needs and do this just a
little bit better. Also see what types of potential
customers would buy from your particular store and see the
culture of these visitors. By taking the time to see what
your competitors offer as well what people who visit your
site are looking for, you are putting yourself in a great
position to be able to fulfill their need. This will lead
you to being able to create online business ideas almost at
will. Ideas are most powerful when they are backed by
research because there is a solid basis for their success.

Money Making Tips with Your Expired Domains - Domain Parking

Newbie expired domain traders keep searching for newer and
innovative ways of making money out of their expired domain
names. Expired domain trading is a vast industry, where
almost every domain trader will be competing with others to
sell their stock of domain names. What happens when an
expired domain trader sits on a big pile of domain names
without using them for any commercial purpose? The result
could disastrous for the business, because the cost of
retention and maintenance is always recurring and it can
cut a big hole in the pocket.

Sitting on a big inventory of expired domains is a
fruitless exercise that consume too much of your precious
time as well as money. You must focus in deriving handsome
income from your domain names so that you can cover the
cost of retaining them with you. One of the simplest ways
to earn money with your expired domains is to park them on
specially designed and marketed domain parking web sites.

Domain parking offers you several advantages and benefits
of not only earning money, but also maintain your expired
domains in the most profitable manner. Some of these
benefits are:

Enough revenues: Almost all domain-parking companies share
a generous share of income with their clients. This income
is enough to cover the expenses involved in maintaining
your expired domains.

Very simple set up process: All domain-parking companies
offer you a very simple set up process that does not take
even five minutes. Signing up and running the account is
also very simple.

Contractual obligations: You need not sign any agreements
or contracts to stay with these firms. You can move away to
another domain-parking company without any penalties or
fines.

Global reach: Language and regions are no barriers to you.
Most of the well-known domain-parking services provide the
services in all major international languages. You can even
use highly accomplished geo or regional targeting to drive
visitors to your web site.

Efficient sales conversion: Domain parking is an efficient
way to turn your domain into a cash machine. It also
enhances the chances of domain auction or sales by over
100% because of the wide exposure and virtual advertisement.

Domain parking uses an advanced method of search. It takes
the advantage of using type-in type of traffic that is when
a web surfer simply types an address on to the search bar
of the search engine in a hope that he or she will get the
desired information from the search. Domain parking can add
real-time value to your expired domain. When you see that
your expired domain is increasing in its online value, then
you can sell off your domain to the highest bidder.

With all its wonderful benefits and advantages, domain
parking still has some pitfalls. Most of the time, some of
your domains may never receive any traffic. In addition,
the income generated by parking your expired domains may
not be substantial. However, domain parking is a lucrative
way to park your otherwise dead and expired domain; domain
parking can resurrect your dead domain back in to life.

Will Global Financial Crisis Result in Benefits to Expired Domain Market?

The year 2009 seems to be a year of uncertainties and
imponderables. Now that this year is in front of us, most
people are under tremendous tension and stress with looming
job losses and depreciation of cash assets. With so much
doubts lingering about their abilities to make a decent
living, people may start looking for alternative sources of
income that is just enough to sustain their living. When
the money deposits are no safer in a bank, how does an
investor plan to keep his or her money? It might be quite
difficult for anyone to protect their investments from
emerging inflation as well as big companies facing
bankruptcy.

There is one possible answer to all these emerging
problems. Expired domain names could be the real answer for
today's investment problems. You can quote a number of
reasons for this possibility:

Expired domains are a big global community. Most general
impression is that internet can never fall because of its
true universal appeal and makeup. In spite of global
recession, internet is growing at a satisfactory pace that
is likely to remain so for the next decade or so.

Expired domains are stable and this unique factor makes it
a very good candidate for a lucrative business.

Domain names expiring are immune from economic recession
and pending debts.

Expired domain is fit enough to face any unstable economic
situations.

Expired domains are those profitable virtual assets that
are intangible and inexpensive to own and manage

The cost to hold your expired domain is very less when
compared to other businesses

The growth potential for expired domains is still very good
though the big hype around it is coming down over the years.

Internet is still the cheapest and cost effective medium
that anyone can access very easily. Domains provide an easy
way for people to acquire knowledge and perform business
activities.

Expired domains provide a perfect opportunity to maintain
them as hedge; this unique factor makes them as viable
instruments of profitability.

In spite of visible threats like cyber terror, cyber
attacks, virus threats and spam, expired domain business
remains the most desirable business in the world of
internet commerce. The average price for domain
registration is coming down very drastically while the cost
of owning a very good expired domain seems to be somewhat
constant. Internet is a very stable medium and people still
believe that it will weather and encounter any type of
problems including global recession.

In an unstable period like today, the likelihood of expired
domain buyers holding on to the old domains and buying news
ones at the same time, may increase at an astonishing pace.
People who saw the age-old days of dot com collapse are too
wise to part with their precious expired domains. As a
result, domains expiring are still the preferred mode of
investment for thousands of domain traders; most of them
are still doing their business as if nothing serious is
happening around them!

Pragmatic Branding: Small Business, Big Image

All businesses, great and small, start with an idea. From
huge multinational conglomerates to your neighborhood
pastry shop, somebody thought "Hey, This could actually
work!"

Branding Impacts Your Success

Unfortunately, an idea is not enough to start a business.
From investment to management know-how, there are thousands
of ways a business can find success - or failure. One thing
nearly all companies have in common is that they need to
assert control about how the public perceives them.

This public perception can be swayed, directed, nourished,
and influenced by your branding strategy. And your branding
strategy can be used to help your business thrive by
creating a professional image and growing with it.

Small Business, Big Image

It's easy to think of branding as what large organizations
need to actively develop. The truth is quite to the
contrary - small businesses can make great use of branding.
In fact, small businesses need to focus on creating and
managing their image just as much as large corporations.

Creating a professional image doesn't need to be
complicated, it doesn't need to cost a fortune, and you
don't need to own an about-to-go-public company. No matter
what the size of your company, creating a professional
image will instill customer confidence in your business.

Would you buy a service from a web site that didn't appear
to be professional? The answer is probably no. So, how can
you create a professional image for your small company? How
can you be pragmatic in your branding strategy, if, for
example, you can't afford to host focus groups, advertise
in print publications or sponsor community events? You can
be resourceful, both budget-wise and creatively.

Start off by developing a logo and slogan for your business
that succinctly represents what you offer. Its main purpose
is to show people what makes your business different from
the competition.

1) The look and feel of your logo, your visual
representation, should reflect the qualities you want the
public to associate with your organization and how it is
positioned uniquely from other companies. Does your company
appeal to a young, party-going market segment? Choose bold,
bright colors and funky message. Trying to attract
established business? Stay with corporate colors and a
benefit message.

2) Creating a big image isn't just about the graphics you
choose, a slogan or tag line can repeatably send your
message. Think of tag lines that convey what you want
people to associate with your firm: "The name you can
trust," or "Your #1 Source." Use a descriptive or emotional
phrase that may not use these specific words, but
communicates a sense of expertise, loyalty, benefit or
trust.

To make your business stand out from others, first
brainstorm about what your company represents or what
people will experience while using your products or
services. Craft a slogan that uniquely differentiates what
your business offers.

(Marketing Tip: Create a really compelling and useful
combination by balancing the logo and tag line - make one
emotionally appealing and the other more descriptive of
your product or service.)

3) Maintain continuity as you carry your theme into your
web site, collateral and signage as well as in the new
media marketing tools like an internet video commercial or
webinar slide presentation. Innovative and effective tools
are a way growing your brand image that others will see as
integral to your corporate image.

Act The Part

You have created your logo, defined your slogan - what is
next? To develop a brand, you need to follow through with
good practices so your customer's experience is aligned
with your brand. From ensuring that work is done to the
customer's expectations every time, to making sure your
employees maintain your standards, you will brand the
company from within and it will reflect outwards.

All companies start small. Creating a brand now allows your
company to evolve with it as you grow. As your company
changes, your brand will adapt, but today's core elements,
such as commitments to product quality or customer
satisfaction, will likely remain the same.

7 Power Tips for Improving Your Brainstorms

Fresh, new ideas are the lifeblood of every business.
Marketing, product development, customer service,
operations, human resources and employee communications all
depend on a continuous supply of ideas. Without them, the
best organizations can expect is stagnation.

The most widely used tool for generating and developing new
ideas in organizations is group brainstorming. Literally
hundreds of thousands of brainstorm sessions take place in
offices and conference rooms across the globe, every single
day.

In our innovation work, we have the opportunity to question
business people about the effectiveness of their
brainstorming efforts. And it is rare that we don't hear a
negative response. "Boring." "Intimidating." "A big waste
of time." "The same old ideas over and over again."
"Nothing ever happens with the concepts we do come up
with." These are all comments we hear repeatedly, from
individuals at every level of an organization, and from
every business category.

In fact, brainstorming as traditionally practiced is a
sloppy, haphazard process. Remarkably, this single
activity, which is so vitally important to business
success, is allowed to take place in a manner that is
completely lacking in structure, facilitated by individuals
with little or no training and who have no idea what tools
or techniques might make their efforts more productive. One
can only imagine the cost of ineffective brainstorming to
business, in wasted manpower, lost opportunity and damaged
employee morale.

The topic of brainstorming is a big and important one. But
here are seven things you can start doing today to make
your sessions dramatically more effective.

1. Make a Plan, Stan

It is sometimes said that professionals plan, amateurs wing
it. Before your brainstorm ever begins, take the time to
plan your session. What is the challenge you will present
to the group? What is your objective for the session? Ten
new ideas? One hundred? What idea generation techniques
will you use to inspire your group's imagination and make
new connections? When you create a vision and a plan for
the session, you increase the odds you will actually
realize it.

2. Invite Diversity

Tired of getting the same old ideas in every brainstorm
session? Maybe you should consider not inviting the same
usual suspects. By including individuals with refreshingly
different backgrounds, perspectives, ages, genders,
ethnicities, etc., you will be creating a group mind with a
wealth of divers experience to draw on. Consider who in
your organization might make an unexpected contribution to
your idea pool, and make sure they're there.

3. Kick Out The Boss

I once knew the president of a company who would insist on
attending every brainstorm session, and then start it off
by saying, "You know how they say there are no bad ideas?
That's wrong. There are very bad ideas that should never be
expressed. So, anybody got anything?" Nothing will more
effectively shut down a brainstorm session than the fear of
saying something stupid in front of the boss. It's
sometimes easier said than done, but unless your company
leadership is extremely supportive and accepting, they
shouldn't be in a brainstorming session. Idea generation
requires a safe environment, where people aren't afraid to
share their thoughts. Ensure the boss you'll review
everything with her after the session is over.

4. Play By The Rules

Of course it's not just the boss who can derail and
brainstorm. Anyone with a big ego, loud voice or
attention-seeking personality can do the same. Negativity
and judgment bring instant death to spontaneous idea
sharing faster than negativity and judgment. Establish a
list of "rules" for your session right at the start. Ask
for everyone's agreement. No negative comments. One person
talks at a time. Crazy, even audacious ideas are
encouraged. If anyone breaks the rules, ask others in the
group to good-naturedly remind him—perhaps by pelting
him with crumpled paper balls!

5. Hold The Phone

"Phone" here, of course, means any device that will
distract one's attention from the task at hand. The
remarkable convenience and productivity provided by PDAs is
nothing short of miraculous. They also make brainstorming
sessions come to a grinding halt. One of your most
important rules is, "All phones, smartphones, iPhones,
Blackberries, Blueberries, Raspberries, whatever OFF during
the session—and put out of sight, out of temptation's
reach!Let everyone know that there will be an ample number
of breaks for checking email or messages.

6. Ask Lots of Questions

Not getting what you want from your brainstorming group?
Maybe you're not asking the right questions. You can
immediately change the consciousness and output of any
group by simply posing a provocative question? "What if we
combined the last two ideas?" "That was a wild idea. How
can we rein it in to make it more on strategy?" "What are
three more ideas like that one?" Learn and apply the art of
powerful questioning and you will get an exponentially
greater return on your ideation investment.

7. Maintain Momentum

Most brainstorming sessions tend to start out slow and low
energy. People are feeling their way into the process.
After awhile, the energy sometimes picks up for a few
minutes. Ideas come from everywhere. Then it stops. They've
run out of steam. They start talking about last night's
episode of Mad Men. You're lost. A great facilitator is
like an accomplished surfer—they can "sense" the
crest of the wave, where it is now and where it's going,
and ride it all the way to the end. Be tuned into the
energy of the room, when it's high, let it rip. At the
first sign of dropping energy, ask a provocative question
that takes the group in a new, interesting direction and
gets everything going again. Brainstorming facilitation is
work—fun work, but work nonetheless. Stay focused,
ride the wave and you'll walk out with a stack full of
great ideas.

Great brainstorming and creative idea-generation is
multi-faceted process that requires structure, trained
facilitation and a full toolkit of proven techniques.
There's a lot to learn. But you can start your ongoing
education with these seven key improvements, and start
seeing better results right away.

How's that for a great idea?

If Your eBay Auctions Aren't Selling This Could Be The Reason Why!

I believe that many people fail to sell products on eBay
due to the fact they have a poor auction title. You can
have the best looking auction in the world but if your
title is poor your auction may not get the visitors it
deserves and may not sell. It's a fact you can't deny that
if you don't get visitors to your auction it wont sell,
never forget that.

So it goes without saying that the main way to actually get
people to view your auction is via an effective title and
that starts with using all the available characters
available to you. Typical mistakes I see people make
creating a title that is under the 55 characters that is at
your disposal or creating a title that is not to the point
and does not tell the potential buyer what they are
selling. When creating an auction title you should do
three things.

1. You should try to use as many of the 55 available
characters as possible. The more you can tell the potential
buyer about your product before they have even opened the
auction the better.

2. While still maintaining an informative title, try not to
waffle on if the title is not to the point potential buyers
will almost certainly lose interest and look elsewhere.

3. Try to use as many keywords that apply to your product
as possible. Lets for example say your product is about
getting rock solid stomach muscles, you should try to use
words like; Abs, quick, fit, easy, rock solid, toned etc,
etc. The reason you do this is because most people will
find your product via the eBay search tool. This means they
will most likely search for keywords instead of looking for
a specific title if they are just browsing products. Also
I'd like to add that you should not be afraid to use upper
case in certain words in your title to draw in potential
buyers attention. Also, don't use made up words that won't
get searched for. A perfect example of this is using words
like L@@K or W@W, these are words that no one will ever
search for so why use them?

By following these simple tips I am sure your sale
potential will increase, many people forget the importance
of a good title, remember this will be the first thing
potential buyers are going to see if they look at your
product, so if your title can grab their attention they are
most likely to purchase your product compared to other
similar products.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
*GRONINGEN*

Originating in the Netherlands in the 1800's, the groningen
breed came from Oldenburg horses that were bred to local draft
breeds. In the 1970's, the Groningen breed was almost
completely overtaken by the Dutch Warmblood breed. the breed
was restablished by using Oldenburg blood (to prevent
inbreeding).

*GUANGXI*

Smaller than both the Lijiang and Jianchang, the Guangxi pony
is found in the Yunnan Province and the Sichuan Province in the
Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region within China. The smallest
known Guangxi is 86 cm, with the average hieght about 100cm.

*HACKNEY*

Public roadways in Britain were improved with the development
of the Hackney breed of horse. Known and used most for high
tech carriage driving and riding, wealthy farmers in Britian
were responsible for breeding the Hackney.

The Hackney breed originated in Norfolk, England, with the
breeding of Norfolk Trotters with Thoroughbreds. The first
Hackney was foaled in 1760.

As ships crossed the waters in the 1800's, Hackneys and smaller
ponies were being imported and exported.

As the roadway of Britain was improved, and it was not
necessary for draft animals that could pull carts through deep
ruts and potholes, the Hackney horses could be used to trot to
market. often, farmers could be seen racing their horses to the
market on the new, improved roads, and while riding the fast
Hackney breed of horses.

In 1883, the Hackney Stud Book Society was formed to formalize
breeding of Hackneys in England. In America and Britain during
the 1880's, the Hackney was the ultimate horse for driving.

*HAFLINGER*

Haflinger horses got their name from the village of Hafline,
which is now located in Italy but was previously part of Austria
before World War I. Haflinger originated in the mountains of
Austrain Tyrol.

The Haflinger breed first came to North America in 1958, to
Wadsworth, Illinois. The farm imported them to begin a breeding
program with Lippizzan horses. Haflingers are imported from
Austria, as well as Italy, Germany, England and Holland and
there are now a number of Haflinger breeders within both the
United States and Canada.

*HANOVERIAN*

A very noble looking horse, the Hanoverian breed is a warmblood
with elgance, natural balance, and a rhythmic canter. They
originated in Saxony, Germany, where there was once a
horse-breeding industry that flourished for over 400 years. One
of the most prominent riding horse breeds throughout the world,
there are Hanoverian horses on all 5 continents.

Hanoverian horses are calm and level headed even in difficult
situations. They allow the rider to drive them, and can be used
for a number of different reasons.

The registry for Hanoverians was developed in 1978, for the
purpose of promoting and preserving the breed. The American
Hanoverian Society is an independent organization, but it has a
close relationship with the inspection, licensing procedures,
registration and educational activities of the German Hanoverian
Breeders' Society.

*HEQU*

A breed from the Qinghai Province of China, the Hequ is used as
a draft and pack animal, and for racing and riding. The word
"Hequ" means "river zig" and the breed was given this name
because the horses were originally found along the Yellow River,
at places where it "Zigs".

Large numbers of horses were imported by the Tang dynasty
emperor from western Asian countries. The Hequ were mixed with
Mongolian stock at the time.

Mare Hequ's can produce up to thirteen foals in a lifetime.
Their native land is 11,000 feet in altitude, which means the
temperatures are low and the climate is moist during summer.

Hequ horses are black, grey or brown, and come in three
different types and sizes.

*HIGHLAND PONY*

With a carefully recorded history for many years, the Highland
Pony is the truest British native type of horse, with proven
pedigrees dating back to the 1880's. Used as the universal work
horse of Scotland two hundred years ago, the horses were about
15 hands at the time, atlhough the current Highland pony
registry limits horses to a height limit of 14.2hands.

Queen Victoria was the first of the royal family to fall in
love with the Highland Pony breed, and the current queen also
has a personal interest in the breed.

Highland Ponies were improved in the 1890's for agricultural
work purposes. The Society did not limit or sectionalize the
stud book, so interested breeders could breed from any
registered pony in order to create horses for whatever purpose
they chose. There are a wide range of size and type accepted
for Highland Ponies due to the relaxed breeding. Most Highland
Ponies are used for bone and substance, but are also used for
riding and driving. Highland Ponies are often used to develop
and improve other breed's native intelligence and temperament.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
When you decide to create a website, you are deciding on more
than just what to put on your pages and how to make them look
pretty. You need to find a home for your site, also known as its
domain. For that, you'll have to create a domain name and then
find out whether it's available for your use. This is called a
domain search or domain check.

To start your search, first start by making a list of domains
you would like to register. Consider choosing names that relate
in some meaningful way to the products and services your
business provides, and one that is easy to remember and spell.
You want people to be able to find you!

Once you have your list of potential domains, hop online and
start searching. Enter the name you want into the Address field
of a web browser. If you are taken to a website, that domain is
already owned. If you get an error message, you're in luck: The
site is probably not registered.

Another way is to go online and look for one of the myriad
sites that allow you to search for domain names. This
one-stop-shopping approach may save you some time.

When you find a domain that isn't registered, don't rush to
register the first available one. Check out several combinations
before making up your mind. And don't automatically run for the
.com version of your domain. Although the most popular option, a
.com suffix may not be necessary for your business. If you can't
find an available domain name that you want with a .com
extension, consider trying one that is particular for your own
country, such as co.uk for the U.K. If your business isn't
necessarily international, there may be no good reason to give
up the name you want just because the .com version is taken.

That being said, if your business is based in the U.S. or if
you plan on doing international business, stick with a .com
version rather than a .biz, .net, .tv or any other suffix
available if at all possible. Otherwise, you will potentially
lose business to the more popular .com site.

Don't get your heart set on one particular domain name; that's
a recipe for disappointment. Make sure each domain name on your
list is one you could happily live with, because chances are
good that at least one of them will be available. If you go into
your domain check with the intention of only being satisfied if
one of your top three is available, you are almost sure to be
disappointed.

If you start to get discouraged during your domain check, keep
this in mind: In some industries, there are domain names for
every two dictionary words. That is near impossible competition!
But with a little patience you can find a great domain name. Try
using synonyms for the keywords you want to use, or try an
alternate (but still memorable) spelling. For example, if your
business is called Cut n Paste but www.cutnpaste.com is already
taken, consider www.cutpaste.com instead. It's still easily
associated with your business and easily remembered!

Finally, another way to perform a domain name check is to use
software. There is a variety of software choices out there that
can quickly and effortlessly generate thousands of potential
domain names based on the criteria you specify.

No matter how you perform your domain check, it is important to
approach the process with an open mind and a measure of
patience. You may not be able to snag your first, second or even
third domain name choice, but that doesn't mean you can't end up
with a memorable domain name that will help drive traffic to
your site and make your business a booming success!

Thankfulness IS key to Abundance
Copyright (c) 2009 Deborah Bishop

I woke up today and decided to roll over and go back to
sleep! I had a late evening and really just wanted a
clearer head, so I snoozed for about another hour. I then
got up and strolled downstairs, let the dogs out and
enjoyed my morning cup of tea. It as really nice outside
and since the last few days were so hot, I sat outside and
enjoyed the cool breeze and the damp air left over from the
late night storm. It felt good just to sit and savor the
morning air. As my head cleared I took on the morning
chores and then worked out, fed the dogs, watered the
plants, wrote in my journal, had a quick shower and walked
the 8 ft from my bedroom to my office to start my business
day.

It was when I sat in my chair and started going through my
emails that it hit me, I was in charge of my life. I
showed up for me, and because I was willing to show up for
myself I got to enjoy a freedom that none of my neighbors
did. In fact, on the mornings I'm up early there is a
scurry of activity as everyone around me hurries up to go
sit and stare in rush hour traffic. I wave at them as they
drive out of our cul de sac and silently give thanks for
the courage I had to step out of the rat race and into my
life.

I work for myself and I love every second of my life. Wow.
I became so grateful in that moment of recognition that I
almost started to cry. To think that I could sit here late
in the morning and just be starting my day knowing I make
more money then most doing things I'm inspired to do! And
the best part, I help others to achieve this too. I became
grateful to a level at which I'd never known gratitude
before. How lucky was I to live a life like this? Well
maybe not luck, maybe a whole lot of courage and a big leap
of faith, but I did it and everything it took for me to be
right where I am today was so worth it that all I can say
is "thank you" to everything and everyone who helped me to
help myself.

I know now there is nothing I can't do. I can earn seven
figures this year if I truly desire it and that inspires
even more gratitude in me because I know how blessed I am
to have that opportunity. I didn't graduate University or
crack some hidden code, I just had enough of things not
working for me and did something about it. Since then I've
had more help, more guidance, more encouragement and more
success then I could have ever imagined and I continue to
add to my gratitude list. I am surrounded by others who
challenge me to be the best I can be, every day, no excuses
and I'm so thankful for that opportunity because it
motivates me to go for it at a new level every moment.

What's my point? Be thankful for exactly where you are
right now, even if it is at a job or in a place that feels
like it's too small for you any more. Be grateful for that
because it inspires you to action. All it takes is a
different decision to become someone, life me, who gets to
sleep late in the morning and be in charge of their life so
allow yourself to be filled with thanks for every issue you
might have because it will inspire you to make that
decision and you will find yourself actively welcoming
solutions that will open doors of opportunity for you and
it all starts with being thankful.

A Brief History of the Luxury Watch Industry

The first ever mechanical time-keeping devices that could
be worn by a person instead of mounted to a wall were
called clock-watches. They possessed only a single hour
hand, and had to be wound twice each day. And of course,
they were notoriously inaccurate, with poor quality
movement and heavy, unwieldy pieces.

The next stage of advancement was the ever-so-adorable
pocket watch. In the 1600's, the upper crust was
extraordinarily concerned with fashion, and apparently the
pocket watch was crafted after King Charles II of England
brought the fashion of the waistcoat to hip gentlemen in
Europe. Pocket watches still exist (in a sort of meta,
anachronistic kind of way), but the originals were quite
inaccurate. It wasn't until 1657 and the invention of the
balance spring that minute and even second hands were used.
In 1765, chronometers started being used, and pretty
delicate temperature compensations further whittled down
the margin of error on fine pocket watches.

In the early 1800's, what's known as a lever escapement was
created by a watch worker Thomas Mudge, and suddenly pocket
watches were much more viable and popular, and not only for
the rich. In 1850 with the onset of the industrial
revolution, humanity suddenly realized the potential of
mass production, and something of a 'pop culture' obsession
grew around pocket watches and later, wristwatches.

Wristwatches has actually been in use for quite sometime by
women, who were thought not to possess the correct garb (or
enough masculinity) to successfully carry a pocket watch
everywhere, and thus were reduced to strapping timepieces
to their wrists. It wasn't until about the 20th century
that wristwatches became a man's item, as well.

The original wristwatches were called 'trench' watches, and
they were much larger than today's wristwatches. In 1923,
John Harwood revolutionized the watch-making world when he
invented a watch that could wind itself, and pocket watches
were history.

In the 1950's, electric watches came onto the scene, and in
1969 quartz watches graced the world stage. As accuracy
was pinpointed to the perfectly predictable oscillations of
these fine new instruments, wrist watches became more about
performance and less about fashion, though of course they
still remain a staple accessory and beautiful pieces of
technology.

Today, many fear that with the onset of cell phones,
iStuff, and hand held computing devices, watches will go
the way of the dinosaurs. Why bother strapping and
antiquated technology to your wrist when you can access a
multitude of information with your electronics?

Because there is something timeless about the timekeeping
of a watch- the slow, inexorable ticking of our passage
through the 4th dimension that can't be captured on the
glowing screen of an iPhone. There will always be a place
for beautiful, functional wristwatches in the world.

Get The Most Out Of Your Ezine

A newsletter or ezine (electronically sent newsletter) is
one of the best marketing tactics you can do.

It helps to build your credibility and expertise; it allows
you to stay in regular touch with prospects and clients; it
gives you a place to keep your products and services
top-of-mind; it allows you to provide valuable information
to people; it's low-cost; and easy to automate and delegate
to someone else to do.

Here are some tips to making sure you get the most out of
your ezine or newsletter:

1. Send it frequently.

In order for people to get the most out of your ezine and
come to see it as a valuable and informative tool they look
forward to receiving, you must send it to them on a
frequent enough basis.

2. Send it consistently.

One reason for sending out a newsletter is to build your
status in people's eyes. You want to be seen as an expert
and as someone who's reliable and credible. If you send
out your ezine sporadically, it's going to be hard for
people to build a trusting relationship with you and feel
that they can rely on you.

3. Educate and promote.

You want your ezine to have the right balance of promotion
(talking about your upcoming program or new ebook) and
education (informative article and calendar of events).
Most people feel the right mix is somewhere around 30%/70%.
You need to figure out what works best for you and your
audience - but keep in mind, excessive selling will turn
people off and you'll end up with a lot of people
unsubscribing from your newsletter.

4. Ask for some action.

Any marketing that you do should always ask for people to
take some action. Your newsletter can ask them to visit
your website for a new article, go to your blog to read the
rest of the ezine, check out a sales page for your upcoming
workshop, sign up for a free teleseminar, and so on. Don't
assume that just because you tell people about something
great that could benefit them that they'll act on this.
Tell them what action to take and make it as easy as
possible for them to do that.

5. Get help if you need to.

There are lots of resources available to help you provide a
newsletter or ezine to your list of leads and clients. If
you're not such a great writer or take too long to write,
you can outsource that to a copywriter or service that
provides pre-written copy. You can get help from a Virtual
Assistant to set up your ezine in your autoresponder
software and send it out automatically. You can get a
designer to help with the look of the newsletter and
creating mastheads or unique icons.

Don't delay in providing an ezine or newsletter to your
circle of prospects and customers! Use the suggestions
above to start taking action right now!

Many people in the world today have a computer and also

1. Doing data entry or taking paid surveys are type of
working at home. There are companies who will pay you to
take surveys or to do data entry for them.

You also can promote your own products and place classified
ads in free classified ad directories. Another way to make
money typing is to promote products of your own in
discussion forums. If you like the type there is no end to
the number of ways you can make money doing it online.

2. Do freelance writing. This could become a full-time
career for you. You will never run out of customers to work
for once the word gets out that you are quality writer.

Copywriting is the top-paid type of freelance writing.
Another form of freelance writing that is in high demand
right now is blogging. Blogging gives you the chance to
write about different topics so you will not be getting
tired. There are millions of blogs right now that need
content and will pay you to create for them.

3. Join instant commission affiliate programs. Many
affiliate programs are becoming structured to instantly pay

include marketing resources that direct the visitor to a

These have become a well-known with affiliate marketers
because you will be paid when person makes a purchase. In
most affiliate programs you have to wait a month to get

4. Build websites of blogs. This is a service that will
only grow in demand. Most people have no idea how to build
a website and would be more than happy to pay somebody to
do it for them.

Blogs have replaced websites in popularity, but there are a
number of people still do not have idea how to set up a
blog. Because many Internet marketers work in multiple
niches you can make a lot of money working for just a
handful of clients.

5. Become a virtual assistant. Most companies need people
to do bookkeeping, post in discussion forums, click on
traffic exchange adds, answer the phone for them and so on.

You can do all of these from the comfort of your own home
as as a virtual assistant. By taking on a small number of
clients you can develop a full-time schedule and a
full-time income doing this sort of work. This benefits you
but it also benefits the companies who do not have to hire
people to work full time.

In summary anyone can do these five computer jobs working
at home. They are easy to get started in and they are very

The Impact of the Recession on Recruitment in South Africa
Copyright (c) 2009 Jobs.co.za

A South African recruiting network recently conducted a
survey amongst South African Recruitment agencies as well
as Human Resources and Hiring Managers of Corporate South
Africa to review the impact that the recession is having on
recruitment.

Throughout the month of June the network ran two separate
surveys - one focused on Recruitment agencies and another
on HR and Hiring Managers from Corporate South Africa. The
surveys were both geared around acquiring insight into the
impact that the recession is having on hiring within
companies as well as the effects that are felt as a result
thereof by the recruitment industry. A second part of the
survey focused on understanding how both the Companies and
Recruitment agencies are adapting their recruitment
strategies to meet their current hiring needs under the
financial crunch.

Before the recession many Recruitment agencies were working
on anywhere between 20-50 vacancies on average per month,
with 15% handling more than 51-100 vacancies in a month.
Since the recession this number has dropped significantly
with less than 3% of Recruitment agencies handling between
51-100 vacancies in a month and over 70% now only working
on no more than 20 job specs in a month. Where more than
70% of agencies were on average making more than 5
placements monthly, 72% are now placing less than 5
candidates monthly. The current economic situation has
forced many Companies (22%) to put a freeze on hiring with
56% commenting that they are only replacing critical roles,
with several large organisations now hiring less than 20
employees per annum.

Both Companies and Recruitment agencies have recognised a
need to become smarter in their recruitment strategies.
More Recruitment agencies are realising the value of having
their own websites and now frequently make use of these to
advertise opportunities that they are working on. Employers
and their agencies both feel that having access to a
central CV database will provide the most value with
regards to filling critical roles quickly at minimal cost.
98% of Recruitment agencies surveyed felt that it is
important that they access CV databases while 88% currently
subscribe to an online CV database, and 73% of companies
surveyed said that they were interested in accessing some
form of external CV database. 41% of companies already make
extensive use of their own CV databases to find suitable
skills and 46% frequently advertise their vacancies on
their own website's careers pages. 45% of Companies still
make use of recruitment agencies to assist them in filling
critical roles in addition to advertising the vacancies
themselves on job boards (44%) and in newspapers (22%).

Other recruitment tools identified as key strategies this
year include branded job advertising on job boards with the
ability to automatically match candidates to job ads with
alert notifications; as well as automatic applicant
screening, filtering and rating tools. Integration of
internal recruitment management systems with existing
careers websites, with the ability to automate and
streamline job advertising with major job portals, together
with centralised application management tools was also
considered an important requirement by many Companies.

The adoption of social networks as a recruiting tool is
still slow with 24% of Recruitment agencies and only 12% of
companies utilising the candidate targeting tools available
through these online networks, while both companies (31%)
and agencies (52%) are still relying heavily on
word-of-mouth referrals to find the best quality talent
with the lowest possible cost of hire.

Creating a Great Ezine AD

Let's start by discussing a few basics. Basically,
emagazines or ezines are online newsletters which are sent
to the list of online subscribers who are interested in the
goods, services or information provided by a given company.
Anyone can create an ezine; which can be in plain text or
html. The value an ezine has to advertisers is the number
of subscribers who open and read the ezine. The more
highly targeted the subscriber list is, the greater the
size of the list and the greater the open rate, the more
expensive it will be to place an ad.

What is the power of ezines as they are more commonly
called? They enable an advertiser to reach a highly target
audience on a monthly, bimonthly or quarterly basis at a
much lower cost than a print magazine (even though the
electronic version may have the same content and design).
A good ezine will inform and educate its subscribers who
will look forward to reading it. A well done ezine will
provide value to its readers while favorably branding
messages about the company who is generating the ezine.
The favorable recognition that the ezine receives is
advantageous for ezine advertising. An implied endorsement
exists when you are able to place your ads in the ezine
(after all if you the ezine disapproved of you they
wouldn't place your ad).

Besides implied endorsement, consider the other benefits of
ezine advertising. * Your ad can (and should) have a
hyperlink where the reader can click through to your
landing page or website. * Your ad has the potential for
high shelf life. If an ezine has high quality information,
it will be saved by the reader and possibly shared with
others (potential for becoming somewhat viral). It is
easier to file ezines than to store print media which are
harder to search. * The cost of ezine advertising is
considerably less than print advertising. Within any ezine
there is a range of placement and type of ad options which
can further reduce costs. * It is easier to administer than
a Pay Per Click Campaign which requires considerable
research for the best keywords in terms of cost and
conversion. *

What do you need to do to start running great ezine ads?
First you need to do a little research to find ezines that
are worth advertising in. You can do this by doing a
Google search but this can be a little tedious and may not
turn up the statistics you need on readership, circulation
and cost that you need to make a decision. The Directory
of Ezines costs a bit for the onetime cost to subscribe but
is well worth it because it is packed with all the
information needed to make meaningful decisions.

Next you need to consider the type of ad that you want to
place. Solo ads are the most costly. These are stand
alone ads that are put out by the ezine. Banner and html
ads are placed in various locations in the ezine (position
and size will determine cost). Text ads are the cheapest
and will vary in costs placed on number of words and
placement.

Regardless of the type of ad that you pick, you need to
make sure that the ad is formatted correctly. Ads that are
well formatted are easy to read by making use of the white
space around the text. The headlines should be all in caps
to stand out. Solo ads are large enough to have bulleted
points to make your benefits stand out and get attention.
Make sure that you use anchor text links instead of a
sloppy looking standard URL link. All your ads need to
have a clear call to action immediately after the emotional
points in your ads.

Tracking of your ads is another consideration. Use
tracking links in all of your ezine ads. This is the only
way to know if the ezine you have chosen is working for
you. You will be able to determine click through rates and
the conversion rate from those clicks. You will be able
to determine what needs to be adjusted (the ezine and ad
placement selected, your ad, and/or your landing page) when
you split test your ads.

The areas that all ads should have (and which can be
tweaked with testing) include the headline (the most
important part of the ad), the claim, the benefits and the
call to action. Other things to consider when testing your
ads are the day of the week that the ezine is delivered,
the season, the ezine itself, and the format and style that
you use.

When you take these simple but necessary steps in to
consideration, you will be pleased to see how easy creating
an effective ezine ad really is and start realizing a great
ROI with an ongoing ezine advertising campaign.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
The longer you stay in the field of internet marketing, the
more obvious it becomes that customers are really your
lifeblood. Even if you happen to create a website that focuses
on content and passive income streams of advertising, it is
still important to remember that keeping your site trustworthy
from both a content and a security point of view is something
that should be at the top of your list.

One way to make your site trustworthy is to simply solve all of
the problems that come up as they are addressed to you.
Trustworthiness often has a lot to do with a sense of
professionalism that customers get from vendors and with that in
mind, it is something that you can easily create. Reply to all
of the e-mails that are sent to you, even if it is just an
acknowledgement, letting the people know that you have heard and
appreciate what they have to say.

Then, when the action required has been taken on the e-mail,
you can go ahead and ensure that your customers now know that
the concern they submitted has been dealt with. With that kind
of attention to your customer, it won't be long before all of
the customers that have dealt with you start to spread out your
excellence level and trustworthiness.

Try to stay in touch with your customers. Don't let your
customers forget your business. One of the easiest ways to
follow up with your customers is to find out if your customers
are satisfied doing business with you. That way, if they are
enjoying doing business with your company, you can ask for
testimonials. If they're unhappy, then you must try to set
things right. By Providing great customer service you will
increase your chances of getting repeat business from your
existing customers and thus increase your sales and profits.

Additionally, there is always the third party method for making
your site trustworthy. Getting an independent audit of the
security features of your website by companies that specialize
in such things will show your customers that you are taking
their security seriously and of course once you get approved you
will be given the opportunity to display their seal on your
website in a way that allows them to vouch for the safety of
using your website. This affects different people in different
ways, but it never ends up hurting your website's popularity and
therefore it is definitely something you will want to consider
doing in the future.

Finally, one more way that you can increase the image that you
have in the eyes of your customers is simply through being
consistent. If you have a content website, then make sure that
you regularly update that website in order to ensure that your
people keep coming back. If you have a sales website, then
consistently make sure that things are in order, replying to
e-mails and helping people to solve any problems they encounter.

CISSP Advanced Security Certification Can Lead to a Lucrative Career for the
Committed Computer Security Professional

When the movie Hackers, starring Angelina Jolie, came out in
1995, people had gotten the idea that being a hacker is cool and
clever.

There were certain network attacks along the way that started
putting people into the mindset that computer hackers weren't as
cool as people had once thought. The viruses that infiltrated our
desktops helped drive the point home that computer security was a
very real issue and a very real concern.

Then 9/11 arrived, and cyber terrorism jumped to the front page
of our local newspapers. All of a sudden, cyber terrorists were
identified as hackers who spend their days and nights trying to
crack open corporate and government computer networks to steal
information and to cause havoc.

Within months of 9/11, computer security became one of the
hottest career choices in Information Technology (IT) departments
around the world.

CISSP is the abbreviation of Certified Information Systems
Security Professional (CISSP), and it is one of the more advanced
security certifications available to IT professionals.

This is an exam, which forms the premier security certification
that is designed or framed and administered by the International
Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2.org).

This career field and computer security certification is one of
the most extensive course studies provided in the IT field.
Certified professionals at this level have the necessary skills
and the proficiency to handle any situation that may pose a
critical threat to the information systems of corporate or
government entities. The holder of a CISSP certification
generally provides unbeatable IT leadership capacity, in the
formation and execution of enterprise security infrastructure.

The most essential core knowledge of CISSP professionals is the
ability to effectively maintain System Access Control and
Applications Security.

Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning is the next
important role of a person who holds this certification.

Beyond the primary areas of education shown above, the CISSP
professional is expected to have a solid understanding of
Cryptography. If you are unfamiliar with this term, it relates to
the security behind the movement of data from one point to
another. Cryptography is developing systems that ensure the
security of data between two computers, such as with sending and
receiving email and when protecting private information within a
computer network, such as credit card information of customers.
During the Cryptography course work, a significant amount of time
will be devoted to the prevention of illegal entry into a
computer network and preventing the theft of important data in
that network.

Other areas that will be covered in the CISSP course work
includes:

 * Information Security and Risk Management;

 * Legal, Regulations, Compliance and Investigations;

 * Operations Security;

 * Physical (also called Environmental) Security;

 * Security Architecture and Design techniques; and

 * Telecommunications and Network Security.

This certification is one of the best-known and most-respected
computer network security certifications.

Depending on where one might be seeking a job, people who bring a
CISSP certification with them can expect to get a minimum
starting salary in the range of $70 to $80,000 per year.

As the course work involved with this certification is quite
extensive, one should not be surprised to learn that the actual
test would take about six hours to complete.

As with any IT certification, one should take advantage of the
practice tests to ensure that one will perform well on the real
test on certification day. The test itself generally costs in the
range of $ $550, so unless you simply have money to burn, one
should be sure that he or she is able to pass the real test,
before dropping the money to get the actual certification. As
with anything in this life, practice makes perfect... And in this
case, certification will ensure a good salary from your current
or future employers.

5 Steps To A Home Based Big Money Business In Network Marketing

One of the best ways to create a home based big money
business online today is with the network marketing
business model. Here are five steps you can follow to start
a network marketing business of your own and make money
working from home doing it.

1. Find a company with an internet based product. In order
to make money on the Internet today it is important to
develop a worldwide organization.

Internet based products make this easier to do because you
have no shipping involved. Examples of Internet-based
products are available in various network marketing
companies include Internet training, membership sites,
website hosting, domain names, and other home business
opportunities.

2. Set up your website and blog. The network marketing
company will give you your own replicated website for
selling products and for sponsoring distributors. It is
important that you go ahead and set up your own website and
blog separate from that.

You can use your blog to create fresh content articles and
drive traffic to your network marketing website. Your
website should contain a sign-up form where you capture a
person's name and e-mail address for future follow.
Developing a list and creating your own leads is going to
be important if you expect to make big money as a network
marketer.

3. Retail products for cash flow. Selling products is a
good example for your downline as well as for your
pocketbook.

It's easy to sell products on the Internet today because
the whole process can be automated for you by the network
marketing business you're in. You do not have to either
ship the products or collect the money. All you do is
concentrate on driving traffic to your retail web page.

4. Sponsor front line and in depth. To make big money in
network marketing you need to develop a large group of
distributors. You can sponsor people all over the world
when you deal in Internet based products.

The more people you have on your frontline the larger your
group can potentially be. However you do not want to ignore
building a downline of distributors and helping those who
you sponsor to get their own group going.

5. Train your group. The network marketing company can help
you with this final step. Most companies offer online
training in the form of webinars, videos, audio, articles
and so on.

You can create your own home based big money business and
utilize the network marketing business model to do it by
following these five steps.

3 Key Steps Every Small Business Should Follow to Create a Positive Telephone
Experience

Good customer service is not rocket science. Most of us
know it when we experience it. However, as small business
owners, many of us overlook these fundamental strategies in
our own business, often to our detriment. Here are a few
simple ways you can inspire confidence in your callers when
they contact your small business.

1) A live, professional greeting. For all the time, money
and effort you spend getting prospective customers to call
your business, it only makes sense to answer the phone when
they call. The statistics on this are clear. Some 75% of
first-time callers to a business will hang-up without
leaving a message if greeted by a voicemail or automated
attendant. If you are not personally available to answer
your calls during business hours, hire a receptionist or
outsource your telephone answering to a remote location.

2) Have a structured set of questions. In an effort to
guide callers quickly and efficiently to a resolution, have
a standard set of questions you train your receptionist to
ask. Simple questions like, "May I ask what the call is
regarding?," or, "Are you an existing client of ours?,"
represent a good start. However, a few additional,
specific questions relevant to your business will help a
receptionist to quickly determine how to best handle the
call. Depending on your business these might be things
like, "Have you already placed an order? In what city are
you located? What product/service are you interested in?"
Allowing the caller to launch into an extended explanation
of their particular situation prior to being connected with
the appropriate person does not serve them well and is
inefficient for your business. Qualifying questions will
help guide the caller to provide the essential information
up front so their call may be handled expeditiously.

3) Offer clear next steps. The person answering your phone
should also be trained on the appropriate action step for
various types of calls, and relay this information to the
caller. For example, "Jeff handles all the new estimates
for our service. Let me attempt to get him on the line for
you." This tells the caller you understand their need and
are working to deliver a solution. If Jeff is available to
talk, the call can be connected quickly and business can
commence. If Jeff is unavailable at the moment, the
receptionist should return to the caller to explain the
situation and provide a reasonable time frame or
alternative options for assisting the caller. For example,
"I apologize, but Jeff is unavailable at the moment. He is
in a meeting until 3pm today and I would expect he will
return your call shortly thereafter." This sets the
expectation for the caller and makes them feel comfortable
that their needs will be addresses in a timely fashion.

Following these three key steps will go a long way to not
only expedite your calls, but secure you more new business
as well.
