Yes increasing buffer size will help, the trade off being late and often spongy
response from
controllers. Setting voice limits is under Perform>Poly. You should be able to
limit midi notes
in Cubase as well. Make sure you correct for overlapping notes and trim
continuous
conrtoller data to a minimum. One instance of Absynth is a very powerful thing.
See if you
can't achieve your goals through a single instance and clever programming. You
could for
example bounce loops to disk and then use them as the source for an osc under
Patch. You
may find that solid performance from a single well thought out Absynth patch is
better than
two stock patches crapping out all the time. Good Luck!
