Archaeological Ceramic Building Materials Group -
This group acts as a forum for those who are involved in the processing, analysis and publication of brick and tile from archaeological excavation and surveys
Aims:
- to exchange and communicate information amongst the group's members, and to a wider audience
- to influence policy and strategy with regard to ceramic building materials
- to liaise with interested parties

Activities:
- produce guidelines and standards for the retention and recording cbm
- develop a minimum collections policies, both on site and for museums
- encourage the formation of a national reference collection
- promote continental links with those involved in working with ceramic building materials
- liaise with related groups
- produce a CBM bibliography
