Re:[actor-network-theory] FW: Application of as Actor Network Lens

In a first approach, I would tell you that Actor-Network
theory is a research metodology used ina minimalistic
analysis (see John Law´s home page at Lancaster University);

There is a downloadable paper called "Translation and
trahison" in his page that is about the changes of ANT as
time goes by to continue being applyable.

One more observation is that we may not talk about context on
ANT because ANT does not deal with contexts. It deals with
material cases and the materiality of the situations is waht
matters.

ANT does not intend to generalize anything, but to give great
value to situated knowlegde. Instead of being general, it
intends to treat each case specificaly.

For more details on what I have written, read the book
Law, J. Aircreaft Stories - Descentering the Object in
Techniscience, Rutgers.

On information systems, please, look at this adress:

http://heim.ifi.uio.no/~oleha/Publications/

It is Professor Ole Hanseth´s web page on information infra-
structures as Actor-Networks. You will find a lot of articles
on information systems and information infra-structures as
Actor-Networks there.

Hope I have helped.

Hugs,

"Many eyeballs tame complexity"
