This newsletter features a new space poll, info page on Pioneer 10,

PLEASE NOTE: I had to send the newsletter again because I made a
mistake with the Pioneer 10 web address. I added the Rosetta page by
mistake.

WHAT's NEW?
* Pioneer 10

* Lost in Space Dvd
http://www.aerospaceguide.net/dvd/lostinspace.html
Lost in Space DVD Season 1 was released earlier this year. Season 1
is in black and white, but I feel its the best season. My favourite
episodes include 'The Reluctant Stowaway', 'The Derelict', 'Island In
The Sky', 'There Were Giants In The Earth', 'The Hungry Sea', 'My
Friend, Mr. Nobody', 'The Keeper - Part 1 and 2, 'The War of the
Robots' and 'The Raft'. I defintely recommend season 1.
Season 2 will be released on July 5th, 2004 in th UK and Europe. I
have no dates for the USA and Canada.

SPACE NEWS IN BRIEF
* Space History was made on June 21st when the 4th manned test flight
of Scaled Composite's SpaceShipOne was completed. The first privately
financed, manned ship to travel to space was achieved. The milestone
is a giant step for the American SpaceShipOne Team. It is competing
to win the Ansari X-prize of $10m (£5.7m). SpaceShipOne was built by
aerospace pioneer Burt Rutan.
SpaceShipOne's flight on June 21st did not qualifying for the Ansari
X Prize flight because it only carried the one pilot. This flight was
a test flight in preparation for competition flight attempts later
this year. The deadline the X-Prize
* The first launch of a Russian Soyuz Rocket from Kourou, French
Guiana will be in 2007.
* Messenger(Mercury Surface Space Environment Geochemistry and
Ranging) Spacecraft will be launched on July 30, 2004. It may become
the first spacecraft to orbit Planet Mercury and the second
spacecraft to visit mercury since Mariner 10 (USA) explored it in
1974 and 1975 via three flybys.
* Earth Observing System (EOS) Aura may be launched on 8 July at
Vandenburg Air Force Base, California on a Delta 2 Rocket. The NASA
mission will study the Earth's ozone, air quality and climate.
