This, I can understand. I have gone to the trouble myself of
locating ROMS so that I can emulate an Amiga on Windows
Vista and it was fun - for a couple of hours of nostalgia.
But there it ends.

It's not even a case of "best" though, is it? Obviously the
matter is extremely subjective and users of Unix variants
are likely to be most vociferous in that respect, but the
point is not that Workbench will never rule again - it is
that the Amiga OS will almost certainly never reach enough
users to become a viable long term prospect.

Exactly. So back to a serious point I sort-of made in the
first place: Why did OS4.1 ever make it beyond the drawing
board of a few underground fanatics? Is someone genuinely
expecting to make money out of this?
