I admire your resilience, but I still think you're misguided.
The amiga tried for embedded systems and failed. Symbian seems to be taking
more of that now. Productivity software, nope, didn't ever really get that
either. Gaming was one of its strongpoints, but that has swung back to
dedicated consoles.
I'll give you ease of use for the OS (as someone struggling mightily with
KDE4.1 plasma), but that doesn't sell anything without the basics needed.
Look at minimilistic systems like puppy linux, a joy to behold. 40 meg of
software that lets you do practically anything and probably more development
hours than amiga can muster.
Without something that would convince people to change, it's dead.
