Dear Aaron,

We had a baby duiker at a
rehab. centre I worked for in SA. There is a special
ingredient..I want to say "lime" (but not the fruit,) which you
add to a warmed up powdered milk . We obtained the
special ingredient from a veterinarian. They are hard to
feed indeed, and seems they'd just rather lick your
leg! Please check with a good veterinarian in your
area. It is crucial that the little duiker is fed
properly. When they are a little older they can be given
certain vegetation which they can eat on their own. Give
him warmth and of course love - as with any young
animal, also keep him safe from predators. They are quite
fun to watch grow up, and I'm sorry I don't remember
the specifics myself. You may wish to contact a
wildlife rehab. centre in your area, as will as a vet., if
you aquire any difficulties. Let us know how it works
out. Good luck to both of you!

Cherie
