If you care about space travel, you've come to the right place. Let's figure out where to go and how to get there...After Columbia.
Ground Rules:
1. To join, you need to be a real person (no spambots allowed), so use the web form if possible (a "why I want to join" blurb is desired, but not required, passing the garbled text test is enough to convince me.) If you register via email, I'll send you a quick message asking if you really want to join. There are a few exceptions (those I've had nasty flame wars with under other circumstances; they know who they are.)
2. Anything goes with regards to spaceflight concepts. Human, robot, Moon, Mars, Venus, Titan, asteroids, etc.. Please be creative!
3. Expect and deliver opposition. I welcome criticism of my ideas because it makes me think; it makes me re-examine my position. Nobody's always right anyway, not even your moderator.
4. Attack ideas, not people; no personal insults. If all goes well, we'll have plenty of arguments and flame wars. Unfortunately, responses to extreme flames need to be, and will be, swift and forceful, be warned.
5. If you are new to space mission design, I'll be as patient as possible. Do study up if you want to be a serious space analyst or concept designer; I can give you plenty of pointers for where to find both basic and technical knowledge. If you are the smarter one trying to teach me, I too will follow this rule before repeating newbie questions.
