Description
The AGAVACEAE group is dedicated to the discussion of growing, identifying and propagating the succulent and semi-succulent genera and species that are in or have been in the plant family Agavaceae, including Agave, Beschorneria, Furcraea, Yucca, Hesperaloe and Manfreda. Also included are the Nolinaceae: Nolina, Beaucarnea, Calibanus & Dasylirion; Doryanthaceae: Doryanthes; Phormiaceae: Phormium and Laxmanniaceae: Cordyline & Cohnia.
Although the genera Sansevieria and Dracaena (including Pleomele) (Dracaenaceae) were at one time included in the Agavaceae, discussion of those genera should be directed to the Sansevieria group. (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Sansevieria/)
The group is open to beginners and experts alike.
