Description

This group is for the discussion of all aspects of applying Agile principles and practices to data management projects. It is intended to compliment the existing Agile Databases group and the key distinction between them is that this group covers situations where working with raw data is the primary focus of the project or application. For example, data warehousing, data migration, data cleansing and operational data transformations.

The focus of the group is wide ranging covering both technical and management topics and is open to everyone from novices to experienced practitioners. We are a friendly group and we have a few house rules designed to encourage open discussion...

=> No anonymous users. As members of the Agile community we value transparency so please post using your real name.
=> It would be really helpful if you could introduce yourself when joining the group.
=> Please be polite and respectful of others when posting. Aggressive behaviour is not tolerated.
=> Advertising of corporate products and events is subject to conditions of reasonable use. The moderators realise this is a massive grey area so we pledge to open new precedents and borderline cases to the wider group for discussion with a view to refining the group's rules.
=> The moderators make every effort to filter out Spam and inappropriate material. Members are kindly requested to report anything that slips through the net.

Thanks very much for taking the time to contribute. Happy posting!

Re: Uptake for automated testing on data-centric projects
Hi Phil, You said, ... Yes, I agree. I think data is to often considered easy. Perhaps that's because databases and ETL tools are relatively old technology
