You may be aware of it already. This could be a good source of ideas for some AP non-profits to use free resources to recruit volunteers and donors.

Cheers,

Dear Twin Cities - Agile Philanthropists,

Thanks so much for your interest in helping out Mano a Mano. Ed Kraay
is flying in on Sunday to kick off this event with Mano a Mano. We
would love to have you for any portion of the events and of course
would be happy to help as we move forward on moving their web presence
over to a more dynamic programming platform. This will set them up to
be able to add the more programming intensive features to help them
deliver on their mission.

Our hope with Agile Philanthropy is to channel the talents of folks in
the software delivery industry and let them use those talents (and
Agile Methods) to help not for profits.

Here are some details about what we are planning.

Sunday: 4pm - 6pm Meet and Greet at Mano a Mano - This
session will let you get to know more about Mano a Mano
Monday: 9am - 5pm Project Kickoff and Backlog Refinement
(Working Session)
Tuesday: 9am - 5pm User Story Refinement (possible
prototyping)

Please let us know if you can make it for any of the events or if
there is a better time for you to participate. One thought is if we
can get folks together some evening after we get the story cards
together we might be able to get some code done. You can come to
observe or to actively work

If you know of anyone that would like to participate please let them
know or just bring them along. We would be especially thankful for
folks with usability or web design skills.

Dear Agile Philanthropy Developer:

I'm excited to announce that we are getting very close to announcing the first ever SF Bay Area Agile Philanthropy event very soon. We need two pairs (that's four developers for math challenged folk like me) to volunteer by May 11 to go forward.  My apologies for the short notice.

If you can commit to coming to the event, would you put your name and dates you are available in the project wiki page?

You'll need an account first. Sign up and Bob Payne will authorize you. Then put your name and other interesting bio info in the "delivery team trading card" area.

We're currently looking at three evenings the week of May 25, to hold this event, with a preference for May 26-28.

Our goal is to have four pairs signed up for the event itself.

This should be a great time for everyone, and a good chance to give back too. Project info is on the wiki page.

If you are not available this time, then maybe next time. Thanks so much for your interest!

Best regards,

Ed

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for asking. I uploaded a copy of an email I had been sending out to google docs and published it. Feel free to request access so you can edit this.

Here is the Mano a Mano backlog.

We're keeping stories on Redmine that are a part of the global effort. They'll be printed to story cards for the event. Feel free to sign up for that site to see them.

Best,

Ed

All,

I am doing a more in depth review of the CMS capabilities with Rick
this evening and we will try to migrate 2 pages from the current site
to the CMS so that we get a better idea of the estimate for migrating
the whole site.

I know most of you can not join but I also know that some of you said
that you would like to.

I will host a Skype conference call so let me know if you need me to
conference you in.

Hi Bob, Dwight, and everyone - Nice work with the posters and doc; captures all
the high points/accomplishments.

Is there a doc which outlines the event planned this month - with the logistics,
project description, high level plan, etc...?

Thanks! My apologies if this is a file located here, but could not find...

Have a great week!
