I would recommend you look at Hudon as an alternative.

Subject: [agileindia] Cruise Control

Hello Everybody,

We in celstream have indentified CruiseControl as the tool for our new project.I am afraid I dont know , if this is the right forum to raise some questions on cruise control, if not, then moderator can kindly correct me.

However, the question is :

We have installed cruise control on our linux server, and we are in the process of connecting it with CVS, in-order to automate our build process. The objective is to build C/CPP on linux based programs. Here, we already have a pre-existing makefile to build the source code. Now, the core of the question is , If there is a way to use / refer this make file in cruise control and continue with the process.

Of course you can use make files to build. You don't need to have a build.xml file.

I would recommend you look at Hudon as an alternative.

The existing mechanism expects a file called build.xml to be used.

We will be grateful if somebody could help us out on this and share his/her solution.

Thanks in advance
Jai

I agree with Naresh on his recommendation for Hudson. We have used both, CruiseControl & Hudson. Hudson has nice GUI & lots of useful features than...

Team City is a cool tool for Continuous Integration aspect and is much much better than Cruise control. Sadly it’s not free. From: agileindia@yahoogroups.com...
