Our end of year special is shaping up nicely. We have two great
speakers coming up from BBC Worldwide and our friends at NTI have
given us the use of Old Broadcasting House.

* Development manager David Joyce will be talking about the
application of Lean principles in general to the software development
process and how they have done this at BBC Worldwide using Kanban.
* Developer and software coach Pete Camfield will be running a group
session exploring why software developers code.

The evening will run from 6:30 until 9:00 with snacks and drinks
provided. Afterwards the conversation will continue as we head down to
the German Market at Millennium Square for some Bratwurst and mulled
wine.

More details on the events and location can be found at www.agileyorkshire.org

Hope you can join us for what promises to be an excellent evening of geekery.

Cheers

Neil

Why is it so difficult to talk to customers? Why do managers often end
up making unrealistic demands on developers and encouraging them to
make promises that they can't keep? Why do so many software projects
end up in angry exchanges of accusation and counter accusation? Can
any of this be explained? Can anything be done to make it better?

Mark will be discussing how to address these difficult issues at the
next meeting of Agile Yorkshire.

As usual we meet at The Victoria Hotel, Leeds from 6:30 onwards for a
7:00 start.
See www.agileyorkshire.org for more details.
