Re: QLD JUG & Gold Coast Java Developer

I suspect Paul is doing more Rails stuff these days.

Nothing stopping someone else starting it up again and getting things
going again though. I think stuff such as Spring, Groovy/Grails and a
lot of the other open source stuff happening is breathing new life
into Java and a revival of the jugs is probably just what the
community needs. Also with Google Android on the horizon I think that
will get a lot more people back into Java.

I think I might setup a gcjug email list anyway, I'm not planning on
anything organised - just a mailing list and maybe the odd jmeetup at
the pub!

I just created the list - it's at http://groups.google.com/group/gcjug
- come on over Gold Coast people. I'll add it to the ajug wiki too.
