Hello:

I love Lemon Balm, and just made up a new batch circulata style.
From your post, it is hard to discern where your problems come in.
After getting the essential oils, the watery component ought be
decanted off the marc, and evaporated to a "honey".
This "honey" can then be extracted with the alcohol, filtered, and
then distiled in balneo...the result is a very pure fixed "sulfur".
The salt should be imbibed with the volatile oil, the fixed sulfur,
and then the spirit--allowed to circulate, and then distilled.
