I have mentioned the need to do this previously in separate email to Alcor members on this list.
The group was moderated for a time previously but unless moderators login frequently, then delays in permitting message to appear can restrict the flow of
conversation.
A reasonable suggestion has been made by Andrew Clifford that more than one person should take on this duty to prevent this.
If Mark Willis wishes to volunteer I would be more than happy to assist him :-)
Whilst my own performance in this regard has not exactly been stellar (as the ostensible moderator of the mol.bio.ageing newsgroup) I believe two or more people working together would do better.
More generally, moderators could and should do some promotion of these online arenas of discussion to aid public understanding of the emerging medical field of therapeutic human cryopreservation in which we are interested.
We could do some of that too.

Subject: [alcor-uk] Lots of Junk Mailhi All
I wonder if the chap who runs this group can block all this junk mail
that keeps on appearing on this group?
Anyway, I'm an Alcor UK member based in Cambridge. If anyone wants to
chat with cryonics issues send me a message.
Anyone else planning on going to Alan's next standay meeting at
Peacehaven on Saturday 2nd December?
Mark Willis
