hi Heath
Currently there is no facility to store patients in liquid nitrogen
within the UK. Alcor call the vacuum-insulated containers that hold
liquid nitrogen "Dewars". See the following page from the Alcor
website:
www.alcor.org/AtWork/p2facility.html
As of the end of July 2007, Alcor had 77 cryopatients and 827 members
who have completed their financial and legal arrangements for
cryopreservation:

In the UK there probably aren't enough people yet for Alcor to set up
a facility in the UK (probably less than 50-100 members I'd guess).
So in the UK we rely on a Standby group run by Alan Sinclair to
assist in the stabilization process of deceased members, before being
transported by air to the Alcor facility in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Once you have become an Alcor member it costs £10 per month to join
the UK standby group.
Joining Alcor is a fairly time consuming process at the moment (takes
about 2 months). But if you want any information, let me know.
