            Emergency Response System (ERS) Changes

We implemented a change to our Emergency Response System.
Some time ago, Charles Platt investigated answering services
to take over the handling of emergency phone calls. Joe
Waynick investigated the options, and selected Focus
Telecommunnications, Inc. to handle our emergency lines.

Implementation of the new ERS has required that our
protocols change slightly, as all calls from each of our
toll-free emergency numbers now forward to Focus. Focus has
been given a script to follow for those calls and contact
lists that include notifying first, the essential transport
personnel and second, the facility staff of a pending case.

During the past month of testing, we have received 20
emergency call notifications; the majority were not actual
emergencies, though a few were. (One such notification was
for a member [A-2024] who'd had a stroke-like event that
evening; another launched a last-minute case query.) In most
of the calls, the caller immediately admits the situation is
not an emergency, at which point they're instructed to
contact Alcor on its normal business line during the hours
of 9am to 6pm.

In the beginning, the call service was not collecting all
the information we requested and was also sending out
duplicate notifications of an emergency. In the latter case,
this required re-configuration of their software, something
that was completed a couple weeks ago. In the former, I
spoke with their trainers, having offered to visit and
provide training on the script. They declined my offer, and
trained their personnel internally. Though we still have
some minor communication issues to resolve, the system does
seem to be working. [TJ]

------------------------------------------------------------

                  Medic-Alert ID Phone Numbers

In the past, emergency and other phone numbers at Alcor have
changed and old numbers have become inactive. It is
important to keep the emergency numbers current on Medic
Alert ID tags (bracelets and necktags)--a quick phone call
to Alcor Central may one day be crucial. Accordingly, it has
been Alcor's longstanding policy to replace old ID tags with
new ones when phone numbers are updated. We have made
diligent efforts to see that all members have updated tags;
unfortunately, we are occasionally notified that an
emergency number on an ID tag doesn't work. Our current
emergency numbers are 800-367-2228 and (note area code) 480-
922-9013. If the number(s) on your tag(s) do not match
these, we apologize and you are encouraged to let us know
about the problem immediately so we can replace your ID
tag(s). Contact D'Bora Tarrant at Alcor: 480-905-1906 x 101
or email her at dbora@.... [MP]

------------------------------------------------------------

                   Standby Initiated for A-2024

We received a call just after midnight on March 21 that one
of our members had suffered an acute stroke and was admitted
to the hospital for testing and observation. We'd been aware
that the member was suffering from cancer and all treatment
had been stopped, and we'd been keeping in contact with the
family on his condition. We felt it necessary to launch a
standby, once our Transport Coordinator arrived on scene to
assess the patient. This was the first standby initiated
under the new Comprehensive Member Standby (CMS) policy.

Four team members were sent: one of the Florida paramedics,
an EMT from Nevada (as part of our commitment to spreading
the transport experience among the regions), and Bill Voice
and I traveled from Alcor. Bill was there for five days and
the rest of us for four before the standby stood down. The
patient is currently in stable condition, and we are in more
than daily contact with the family and medical professionals
on-site.

While we were on location, we prepared all the transport
equipment, negotiated closely with the local funeral home,
consulted with the nursing personnel, and discussed all
aspects of the case with the patient and his family.
Everyone we met was supportive of the patient's wishes. By
the time we left, all logistical arrangements that could be
done in advance were done. Equipment remains on site to
facilitate a rapid deployment in the near future. [TJ]

------------------------------------------------------------

                     Transport Team Matters

Hara Ra and Andrea Van De Loo have resigned as northern
California Regional Coordinators. We regret the loss of
these team members, but intend to ensure that northern
California retains its transport capabilities and continues
to benefit from the improved training we are now providing.
It is my impression that communication and collaboration are
on the rise among Alcor and the regions, and that the
changes in protocol thus far have begun to improve
standardization in field procedures. Though no new northern
California Regional Coordinator has been selected, we have
identified a member willing to hold the kit until such time
as a new coordinator is selected.

Our next training session will still be held in northern
California and is scheduled for Saturday, April 23.

We have begun receiving the transport team member contracts
in the mail. Given the extensive negotiations that went on
during the drafting of these contracts, many members have
been content to sign and return them quickly. We've heard
some concerns about signing the contracts from members in
the United Kingdom, due to the exclusivity clause. Team
members in the UK are hoping that we will be able to
complete cooperative agreements with other organizations so
that they may participate in any cases that arise in their
region. We will keep everyone posted as these agreements
with other organizations develop. [TJ]

------------------------------------------------------------

                    Pet Cryopreservation, P-029
During this past week, we completed the cryoprotection and
preservation of a member's cat. This was the first companion
animal cryoprotection that Alcor has done in some time, and
we felt it necessary to pull together capability in the new
operating room, so as not to compromise the state of
readiness needed in case of sudden death for one of our
members. The cryoprotection went well, and 101% of the
target concentration was achieved. Cooldown was completed on
a slightly faster curve.

We discussed collecting fracture data on the cat, but had no
drill small enough to make burr holes for crackphone
monitoring. In the end, we inserted the probe under the
scalp, just to see if it would register any fractures. No
fracture events were detected, but this data itself is
inconclusive. [TJ]

------------------------------------------------------------

                     Facility Upgrade Project

We have delayed pulling the demolition permit because of
requests for additional electrical load calculations from
the city. In addition, the bidders needed those calculations
to give us estimates. New load calculations have been
completed and all bidders are expected to have their bids in
by Tuesday. A selection will be made Wednesday or Thursday,
the demolition permit will be pulled Thursday or Friday and
demolition can begin the following week. This delay is not
expected to impact our June 30th completion date. [JW]

------------------------------------------------------------

                      Database Enhancements

Over the past three months there have been over 135,000
field updates to standard data entries in critical fields of
the central database. This effort has already alerted us to
several interesting membership recruiting patterns we intend
to pursue that we believe will help us increase our member
growth rate on a long-term basis. We are now focusing our
efforts on updating the financial and medical information
for all members. [JW]

------------------------------------------------------------

                          Website Update

We've recently added online forms that will transfer data
directly into Alcor's database. The two forms currently
being developed are an info pack request form and a tour
request form.

In March, a major research article on brain cryopreservation
with high concentration glycerol (1990s cryonics technology)
was reproduced on the site with kind permission of Mike
Darwin:

http://www.alcor.org/Library/html/braincryopreservation1.htm
l

This is accessible via the Cryobiology subsection of the
Scientific Basis section of the Library.

The article, reproduced from 1995 CryoCare Report, is an
unprecedently rigorous and detailed examination of
cryopreservation with glycerol, with stunning micrographs.
Already this week I observed this URL used to radically
change the cryonics opinion of a scoffing neuroscientist in
a blog debate. Keep this URL handy for any cryonics defense!
You can also jump more directly to the micrographs with:
http://www.alcor.org/Library/html/braincryopreservation1.htm
l#micrographs

The Thomas Donaldson right-to-die case web page was also
expanded to include much more background, including the text
of the final court decision:

http://www.alcor.org/Library/html/Donaldson-
VanDeKampAbstract.html

As always, a real-time list of new things on the site is
available at http://www.alcor.org/whatsnew.html. [WWG]

------------------------------------------------------------

                       Membership Statistics

On March 31, 2005, Alcor had 730 members on its Emergency
Responsibility List. Seven memberships were approved during
this month, no memberships were reinstated, eight
memberships were cancelled, and no members were
cryopreserved. Overall, there was a net loss of one member
this month.

The large number of cancellations included the departure of
four individuals who had been approved as minors. Despite
repeated attempts, they would not sign the membership
agreements since becoming adults. The main obstacle was
apathy, not an objection to retaining the membership. The
remaining cancellations were due to member request.

At the end of this month, Alcor had 106 applicants for
membership. A large number of applicants (35) who had been
non-responsive for an extensive period of time were
cancelled and three others entered the application process.

The growth outlook for April is more optimistic; 20-30
approvals are expected this month due to the rate increase
deadline.

During the month of March, 118 information packs were
distributed. Of those, 103 were mailed, and 15 were handed
to facility tour participants. Our average for 2005 is
currently 81 per month, compared to 50 in 2004. [DC]

------------------------------------------------------------

                Conference Postponed until 2006

The Alcor conference scheduled for August 2005 has been
postponed until 2006. Dates and details will be released
when conference planning resumes.

------------------------------------------------------------

        Employment Opportunity for Medical Professionals

Have you ever thought about joining the Alcor team? We have
immediate needs for licensed Paramedics, Emergency Medical
Technicians, Registered Nurses, Lab Technicians and more to
join our nationwide Transport Team. Participation would be
on a contractual basis.

You'll be given cryonics training that will enable you to
participate in our patient rescue and transport cases.
Licensed professionals do not have to be Alcor members to
work with us. We welcome your expertise and interest. If
you're interested, send your resume to: employment@...

                        Next Board Meeting

The next Board meeting is scheduled for Saturday, May 1,
2004 at 11:00 AM (MST).

Board meetings are held on the first Saturday of the month
at the Alcor facility (7895 East Acoma Drive in Scottsdale,
AZ). Members and the public are encouraged to attend.

The next ExtroBritannia event is scheduled for Saturday the 30th of
April 2005 starting at 2pm at Conway Hall, Holborn, London. Everyone
welcome. Entrance is free.

The title of this month's presentation is:

Nootropic drugs and nutrients, their role in the aging individual.

Guest-speaker:

Phil Micans, PharmB., TecII
Vice President IAS Group
www.antiaging-systems.com

Phil Micans has degrees in Food and Vitamin Technology and
Pharmacology, but it was after reading Pearson and Shaw's book, Life
Extension, in 1986 that he became actively involved in antiaging
medicine and committed to the field of preventative medicine. Phil
believes that we all have to recognise that the deleterious affects
of aging are inextricably linked to degenerative diseases. Phil is
the editor of the International Antiaging Magazine, co-writer of the
New Millennium Guide to Anti-Aging Medicine, Director of Research
and Development for Inner-Age (researching biological aging
measurement to assist in the creation of a scientific tool to
measure aging and the performance of preventative medicine itself),
and Pharmacist at International Antiaging Systems, helping to answer
specific questions relating to the use of cutting-edge medicines and
nutrition, in particular the use of Nootropic substances.

In his presentation Phil will:

-introduce key nootropic substances, (the so-called smart drugs) and
their effectiveness on mental facilities for the aging individual.
-look at several substances in detail, (in particular piracetam,
deprenyl, hydergine, centrophenoxine, acetyl-L-carnitine,
vasopressin, phosphatidylserine and vinpocetine), presenting their
known individual actions on the brain and how this has benefited
memory, learning, focus and attention etc.
-highlight how some of these substances have dramatically extended
animal lifespan with possible implications for humans, and also how
this indicates that the control centers for aging lie in the brain.

WHERE & WHEN

We will be at the Penderel's Oak (see below for the address) from 12
noon for lunch before the presentation, and afterwards for drinks
and conversation. If it's your first time at an ExtroBritannia
event, look out for a copy of Kurzweil's "The Age of Spiritual
Machines" at our table (picture http://www.falk-

Hello

I'm new to this group. I'm from the Isle of Skye in the Highlands of
Scotland.

Would be interested to hear the experience of actual UK Alcor members,
as I am considering signing up.

Hi all,

I'm very interested in Cryogenics, and was delighted to see there is a
UK group now lining up behind the concept.

I have questions of course, and have been spending a lot of time
reading through forums and FAQ to try and answer those, but would be
interested in finding out when any future face to face meetings are
taking place. Sadly I see I just missed one, but if anyone could give
me an idea of the next event I would be most grateful.

Best regards,

Kevin

Since our last meeting in March I have been trying to address the problem we discussed regarding the Alcor policy of a non cooperation of there ACT and to try to come to a better understanding with all groups, Alcor CI and SA.

I contacted Joe Waynick the Alcor president who I must say I found very helpful and we are having an exchange of views. I am hoping to speak to him and Ben Best the CI president before our next meeting in June to see if there is a possibility of us openly working together, I am extremely hopeful. This non cooperation rule only applies to ACT and not to other Alcor members. (So good luck if a ACT members go down there’s no one to suspend you!!!!!) Only joking

So far I have explained I see matters very much Black and White, I think Cryonics UK see itself as a self help group trying to get ALL our members to there respective storage providers with the best possible suspension, the politics of CI and Alcor need not effect us if the US except us as independent and realise we have special needs in the UK which will not effect the US competition in any way because neither are able to offer a good service in the UK and it is up to us to be sure our members are well cared for.

We need the support of Alcor, CI, 21C, SA and anyone else willing to help but we are not asking for hand outs (although I wouldn’t so no!!!!).

CUK have much of the expensive equipment required, Alcor have or will need the same equipment, SA will require the expensive equipment if they come into the UK and no one outside the UK have the recourses or the will to put those recourses into the UK AND WHY SHOULD THEY.

For instance our next purchase will have to be a controlled cool down box so we can vitrify, cost £6K plus, cryostats or dry shippers £20k and although these are very rough prices they may be required, do we really want or need two or three of everything.

I have stated when I started Alcor UK we had an agreement passed by the Alcor US board in 1989 that we could cooperate with any CI members that required our help, I am asking for this concession to be reinstated in the UK so CUK are able to do the best job for everyone who wants to use us.

It makes no sense NOT to pool our recourses but far more important is our numbers are so small and the members willing to get involved with a stand by team are even smaller.

Are there any points you would like me to put to Joe or Ben. CI  have already offered full cooperation but I can see the reasons Alcor feel they spend so much on training they are reluctant to give that away but I have said most of CUK members are already Alcor trained and would be quite willing to have Alcor training which CUK would pay for if required.

As our numbers are growing from both Alcor and CI I think the time is right to show this cooperation really is a benefit to the US as well as the UK and it is not unreasonable to expect the backing of both storage providers but in turn we must show we are prepared to use the preferred protocol and training. As our members already know we are working very hard to achieve high standards but as we look at victrification the challenges and expenses will increase, if we are to offer the best suspension, once again joining forces makes sense.

I have also pointed out that I feel CUK have a lot to offer Alcor and CI and from the legal aspect would be advantageous to everyone.

In the UK we would love a suspension team run by professionals. Alcor US have there team, CI US have SA and there own team, the UK have CUK and if we support that there is little reason why we shouldn’t get the suspension we all want. As soon as a professional team becomes available I will be the first to join it but that will not be a reality for many years and in the mean time we need stand by and improved suspension NOW.

If there are any points you want to put forward please let me know ASAP however a full discussion will take place at the next meeting so please turn up as we are at the beginning of forming these new policies and you will get out what you put in.

Next meeting 11/12 June, everyone is welcome but please let me or Sylvia know so we can judge food and would special food needs please let us know.

Hi Kevin,

The best idea is to attend the next Extrobrittania meeting where people with considerable knowledge of cryonics are usually present. The next Alcor UK meeting will be announced on this mail-group.

Hello

I'm new to this group. I'm from the Isle of Skye in the Highlands of
Scotland.

Would be interested to hear the experience of actual UK Alcor members,
as I am considering signing up.

Hello,
I am new to this group so please forgive me if somebody has
already answered these questions before. I would like to know how much
it would cost in the uk for me to have my head frozed cryogenically?
Also what actually happens when you die, do people from alcor come to
your house and collect your body? If so what is the maximum length of
time that a human being can be dead before being frozen? I ask this
because i'm quite concerned about decomposing before anybody finds me,
i'll just have to make sure that i die in a public place will i?

Any answers to these questions would be greatly appreciated!

Thankyou,

Answers to all these questions and just about anything else you can
come up with can be found at www.alcor.org.

However, to broadly explain the situation, there are many variables
that affect the favourability of your suspension and you could easily
spend years ironing them out. This next sentence sounds like a sales
pitch but it is the reality of cryonics. You need to make the
commitment, get involved, maybe even get your hands dirty and you will
develop the background knowledge to improve your personal circumstances
to aid a favourable suspension. In terms of cost, there is a basic
price (see website) but the more you can throw at it, the better the
results can be. Most members try to over fund for this reason. For
example, at the extreme end of the scale, we have a member with a team
of medics on his staff who are trained in cryonics procedures. Others
relocate to Scottsdale in their retirement, volunteer for cryonics
rescue teams or put time into cryonics promotional work. The
opportunities to improve your situation are endless in terms of time
and monetary input.

You would find it useful to come along to one of our meetings to speak
to some of those who have signed up or are in the process of doing so.
The next meeting will probably be December/January, keep an eye out for
announcements.

Cheers, Tim Gibson.

Just to remind you there was a training meeting on weekend 8/9. We discussed the pro’s and cons of abandoning glycerol in favour of vitrification, (this is to be policy from now unless members think otherwise) testing the transport box to make sure we it can maintain water ice as well as it did dry ice and the new found cooperation between CUK and Alcor.

It is proposed Tanya Jones the Alcor training manager will be coming over for a extensive training session in March or April 2006. She has suggested that a full week will be required and has asked whether we feel it better to see if our members can take a week of or whether two week ends would be better.

Could you please let me know ASAP if you will be attending Tanya’s training sessions and if so would you prefer a whole week or two weekends.

Hi everyone,

I'm a student at the University of Bradford and I'm creating a mini
documentary about Cryonics. I'm desperate to learn more than just the
facts about the process, a personal angle from someone who knows more
would be amazing!

Within the documentary we'd like to include opinions from people who
have maybe signed up already and the decision making process they went
through. The documentary will be entirely objective, not negative in
any way and remains the property of The University of Bradford.

I would be eternally grateful if somebody could reply or get in touch
with me via email so we could talk more.

Thanks everyone in advance

I am pleased to say Tanya Jones Alcor's Director of Technical Operations and two other members have now confirmed they will be taking  our next training session on the 11/12 March.

As they will be staying with me I regret I will not have any rooms spare. I am very sorry about this but as you know I am limited for space although if a couple of you want to rough it in the workshop you are welcome.

Please Please let me know who is coming and I would suggest if you are coming for the weekend it would be advisable to book locally ASAP.

Going from past experience I would expect this weekend to be very interesting and imformative.

                 $100,000 Matching Grant for
               Whole Body Vitrification Research

A better cryopreservation can be yours. That's why our
staff, including senior research scientist Sergey Sheleg,
MD, PhD, is actively working to cryopreserve your intact
body and brain as perfectly as possible.

Progress is already underway. Alcor recently upgraded its
whole body cryopreservation procedure by switching to M22,
an advanced cryoprotectant capable of vitrifying the brain
for whole-body members, but parts of the body are still not
fully vitrified. We need your help to reach the next level.

We need the help of every one of our members now to achieve
   whole-body vitrification. Until January 31, 2006, every
dollar donated will be matched up to $100,000 by a generous
donation from Bina & Martine Rothblatt, Alcor members
dedicated to rapidly advancing this technology.

Call now to make your pledge: 877-462-5267 ext. 101

Or print and fax your pledge form to: 480-922-9027

Pledge forms are available at this link:
   http://www.alcor.org/Library/pdfs/MatchingGrant.pdf

When sending donations by mail, include this pledge form or
simply write "Matching Grant Donation" in the memo field of
   your check:

                      Cryopreservation Cases

During the past month, we performed one standby in northern
California and two cryopreservation procedures. The standby
was launched for member A-1598, who collapsed in his
northern California home and fell into a coma. We deployed
a full transport team, but after several days some of the
team was called away by an emergency call for member A-1398
who was admitted to a hospital in New Orleans. Both
cryopreservations were performed within 48 hours of one
another. Full details will be in an upcoming issue of
   Cryonics magazine. [TJ]

   -----------------------------------------------------------

                         Financial Matters

Recent problems regarding reconciliation of the Patient
Care Trust (PCT) and Comprehensive Member Standby Program
(CMS) are largely resolved. The PCT has been paid
everything owed it with the exception of one $10,000
payment and the recent case for which we are currently
awaiting insurance payment (as is normal procedure). The
CMS fund still has an outstanding amount owed it, but this
should be more than balanced by two uncharged standbys.
We're still awaiting payment from the PCT for outstanding
construction invoices, which will allow us to continue
addressing accounts payable. The chart of accounts has been
reconfigured to allow easier internal billing of cases, and
a collections process is underway for those who are over 60
days past delinquent on membership dues, CMS, and
subscription payments. Aleetha Castro has the left the
organization and Alcor is seeking a replacement. We wish
Aleetha the best in her future endeavors. Questions about
billing can be sent to jennifer@.... [SVS]

   -----------------------------------------------------------

           New Whole Body Cryopreservation Procedure

Alcor has upgraded its whole body cryopreservation
procedure for all members currently signed up as whole
body, as well as for those whole body members who have
executed an open option contract. Further information and
micrographs explaining the switch to M22 technology for all
Alcor cases can be found on our website at:

   http://www.alcor.org/Library/html/newtechnology.html

   -----------------------------------------------------------

             Alcor Performs In-house Sterilization

We've purchased an ethylene oxide sterilizer and installed
both it and the vent line needed for safe operation. This
will enable us to restock our surgical supplies faster
   after cryopreservation cases. [TJ]

   -----------------------------------------------------------

Dozens of Scientists Go Public with Support for Cryonics

At the Life Extension Extension Conference in Atlanta,
Georgia, on Nov. 5, the Immortality Institute unveiled an
Open Letter signed by 56 scientists, physicians, and
ethicists endorsing the scientific basis of cryonics. The
   letter is online at:

   http://www.cryoletter.org

Anyone with a PhD, especially in biology, or MD degree with
a background in research, who would like to support this
letter is asked to contact support@....

   -----------------------------------------------------------

           Alcor Contributes to Methuselah Foundation

Alcor committed to a $2,000 contribution to the Methuselah
Mouse Prize. This is a very worthy program, generating
interest in aging research, promoting it through a prize
program, and directly funding research programs. More
   information can be found at:

   www.mprize.org
   [SVS]

   -----------------------------------------------------------

Cryonics Discussed in Major Medical Journal

The current issue of Critical Care, a peer-reviewed journal
read by 15,000 critical care medicine specialists
worldwide, contains an article by four ethicists and
medical specialists on a relatively new form of organ
donation called Donation after Cardiac Death (DCD). One of
the authors of the article, entitled "Pro/con ethics
debate: When is dead really dead?" is former Alcor
President and cryonics research legend, Mike Darwin. In his
contribution, Darwin cites Ralph Merkle's "information
theoretic criterion" for death, and states flat-out that
almost no patients declared dead today "are in fact truly
dead by any rigorous scientific criteria." He goes on to
state that recent advances in organ and brain
cryopreservation even suggest that it might be possible for
patients declared dead by DCD criteria to be saved by
prompt cryopreservation (i.e. cryonics). For better or
worse, DCD is forcing ethicists to acknowledge what
cryonicists have asserted for decades: There is a
difference between legal and biological death. Further
discussion and a link to the article can be found at

   http://www.alcor.org/Library/html/dcd.htm

   -----------------------------------------------------------

                         Media This Month

An estimated 25,944 distinct computers visited Alcor's
website in October. Media participation this month
   includes:

   - Zig Zag Productions: Alcor hosted a visit from the
producers of this documentary with assistance from Deb
Johnson of WalshCOMM. The crew plans to film at Alcor early
   next year.

   - Origins of Timeship: Alcor gave permission for several of
its photos to be included in Stephen Valentine's book about
Timeship. The book describes the Timeship project and
touches on how life extension/cryonics evolved over time.
It is scheduled for release in early 2006.

   - Crime Scene Investigation, New York: Tanya Jones fielded
a call from a CSI researcher who wanted to understand the
cryonics process for an upcoming episode. We asked him to
keep us informed of if/when the episode will air. [JC/WWG]

   -----------------------------------------------------------

                       CryoFeasts Continue

The Texas CryoFeast (Austin) was held on 11/12 and the
Canada CryoFeast (Toronto, Ontario) will be held on 12/04.
Alcor will not be attending these events but is helping
announce them and providing free giveaways for the guests.
Alcor is also planning an Arizona CryoFeast in Scottsdale
   for early December. [JC]

   -----------------------------------------------------------

                      Membership Statistics

   Approvals: 11
   Members: 780
   Applicants: 63

On October 31, 2005, Alcor had 780 members on its Emergency
Responsibility List. Eleven memberships were approved
during this month, one membership was reinstated, three
memberships were cancelled and two members were
cryopreserved. Overall, there was a net gain of seven
members this month. We have an average net gain of 6.7
members per month in 2005, which compares favorably to the
average net gain of 4.3 members per month last year. At the
end of this month, Alcor had 63 applicants for membership,
a net loss of 5 applicants.

Alcor distributed 152 information packs this month. Our
average for 2005 has grown to 119 per month, compared to 50
in 2004. There were 784 subscribers to Alcor News as of the
   last issue. [DC]

   -----------------------------------------------------------

                          Alcor United

Alcor members have a new forum where they can meet and chat
with other members. Get to know other cryonics supporters
in your area by visiting Alcor United:

   www.alcorunited.org

   -----------------------------------------------------------

                       Construction Update

We are creating the final punch list for the construction
project, with mostly minor details remaining. Details were
missed in the construction contract, like the addition of
data and phone lines in the various spaces, but this work
is sufficiently minor that it will not impact the end-of-
month deadline. Also, the bulk liquid nitrogen tank has
   been ordered for delivery. [TJ]

   -----------------------------------------------------------

                    Employment Opportunities

Have you ever thought about joining the Alcor team? We have
immediate needs for licensed Paramedics, Emergency Medical
Technicians, Registered Nurses, Lab Technicians and more to
join our nationwide Transport Team. Participation would be
   on a contractual basis.

You'll be given cryonics training that will enable you to
participate in our patient rescue and transport cases.
Licensed professionals do not have to be Alcor members to
work with us. We welcome your expertise and interest. If
you're interested, send your resume to:

   employment@...

   -----------------------------------------------------------

                        Next Board Meeting

The next Board meeting is scheduled for Saturday, December
   3, 2005, at 11:00 AM (MST).

Board meetings are typically held on the first Saturday of
the month at the Alcor facility (7895 East Acoma Drive in
Scottsdale, AZ). Members and the public are encouraged to
   attend.
