Re: [ion-micron] Patterns

I cant tell you Laura as I have an Ion but if its a real issue as to the understanding of the Micron I guess someone here will explain.
Otherwise, just transpose 6 semi tones and get on with your track...LOL
Has the pattern playback some parameter to detune?

Sigh. Patterns!! Many mysteries remain about this enigmatic function.

Today's question is about why it always records them in the wrong key
and how do you control what key your pattern is going to end up in?

What I mean is that I recorded a riff that was on the E notes, in the
key of E, and when I played it back, it played in the key of B flat.
Even though the little display screen says "E".

Wuzzup with that?

The first note you record will be the base note for the whole pattern. Trigger the pattern playback with the same note again and it should sound the same as it...

it depends. If you write a pattern note by note, it is automatically set to C. So if you want a general pattern that fits for all keys you should write it in C...

I did some experimenting and realized that to write a pattern, you had to do it in C. Recording a pattern in Phrase mode is almost useless, except that it ...

Yeah, I got as far with the patterns as you did to find that lag at the end and then gave up. I really got the Micron to play live in real time so any of the...

... Yeah. I thought you could create seamless spontaneous "loops" which would be great in realtime. But apparently that's not how it works. You have to go into...
