About half the company here is addicted to twitter, including the CEO
heh. We are encouraged to blog too, but not at the expense of
chargeable hours (we are a services company). So generally I will only
blog quick tips and workarounds -- posts I can write in 20 mins or
less -- during the day. I do jot notes all the time for bigger posts,
but I fill them out and publish them at home.
In terms of content, I never post client's code or names or concepts
directly. They always get renamed to something different - metaphors
to the same effect. This is not a company policy, but I think it's
good blogging etiquette -- I would hate to think if some stakeholder I
am working with types my name into Google and finds his app being used
as an example of poor code or something.
