Amastropak, (or Amateur Astronomical Society of Pakistan), is the Karachi chapter of Pakistan Astronomical Society (
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/PakAstronomers/) which is the common group for all amateur astronomers in Pakistan. Amastropak is committed to popularizing Astronomy in the region. Amastropak organizes talks and events related to astronomy.
Who could/should become a member:
Anyone with an interest in astronomy and/or astronomy-related-events. This includes those who already know something about astronomy; and those who don't know much, but would want to know more about it. Thus "Amastropak" welcomes NOT 'only' the seasoned astronomers, but also those people who're just beginning to take an interest in this amazing field. This should be good news especially for those who're relatively new to astronomy, but who're nevertheless 'interested'.
