Hi All --
Just a quick update on AAG: I've been doing testing on the platform that I'm
going to use for AAG online here: <http://www.handcraftedexchange.com/>
http://www.handcraftedexchange.com.
We're going with the Drupal platform - the E-Commerce link above contains
another level of functionality on top of what I've already put in place on
my other site at <http://www.e-business2.com/> http://www.e-business2.com
AAG will add to both of these sites & contain another level of
data-interpretation, as well as significantly advanced community features.
The goal is to really organize the thousands of files currently online into
a cohesive archive, as my past tracking has shown that users had a difficult
time really finding the true scope of material online.
We're going to a web 2.0 platform, and may be partnering up with some other
sites as well ...time will tell. In the meantime, check out

Dear Group:
Please note that I've just completed enabling auto-approval for new
comments on American Antigravity, as well as reviewing & approving a
backlog (over 700!) past comments on the site. Reader comments are
listed at the bottom of each page, and I'm hoping the auto-approval
will facilitate greater community collaboration.
Also, please stay tuned to E-Business 2.0 for future developments!

Thanks;

Dear All:
I'm pleased to announce that we're in talks with a development company about
migrating American Antigravity's website to a new hosting platform, which
would provide you with additional features & social-network abilities.
The deal hinges in part on the success of our new project, E-Business 2.0,
and to build traffic for BOTH ventures we're asking that everyone who
supports AAG please forward this email to a couple of friends & ask them
simply to visit the site, as well as take a peak at E-Business 2.0.
American Antigravity remains a key repository for information on emerging
aerospace & physics technologies, with traffic exceeding 1 million visitors
a year. Our hope is to migrate it to a more stable platform with lower
operating costs, as well as to integrate new features into the platform to
really bring out it's key strength - you, our audience.
If you haven't already done so, take a moment to check out E-Business 2.0:
it's a combination news, technology, and services portal for the IT &
E-Commerce industry, with a focus on open-source Content Management Systems
for small & startup businesses.
If you have any questions about either project, feel free to email me at the
address below, and best holiday wishes despite our otherwise dark economic
forecast!
Sincerely;
Tim Ventura

Dear All:
Please accept my apologies for not publishing more material recently - I'm going
through a divorce & restructuring life at the moment. I do have several pending
interviews which I hope to have up in the very near future....at the moment,
though, I've relocated to Blaine, WA and I'm job-hunting in a new market, which
is time consuming.

Hmmm....
These CARET pages on the Coast site make me feel funny about this whole
thing. Do I owe Linda an apology? Could be...
http://www.coasttocoastam.com/gen/page2097.html?theme=light
Kim has an excellent point about the text in those pages, but it is more
lucid than the word-salad that I usually see (although I skimmed, so I could
have missed some big blunders).
I DO have some very stupid questions, though:
1. The thing in the sky is MUCH larger than the prototype in those photos. I
can understand the funky alien text on the prototype, but presumably if we
have a large-scale reverse-engineered drone it would have human markings,
not alien.
2. There are "color" photo blowups from the photos in the book. What are
those blowups supposed to be from? Were they separate photos in the report,
or closeup shots OF the report itself. If so, was the original report in
color? Also, notice that the bottom photo of the two ring-segments is larger
than the cropped version in embedded in the page (which is why I asked)
3. In my experience, trained scientists are absolutely loathe to use the
word "antigravity" - it's only picked up popular usage in the last few years
(I'd like to think because of me). A few years back, though, people were
calling it everything but AG, so it seems odd to see it used to casually in
this text.
4. Why are sections of the text blacked out? Is this supposed to be a FOIA
document? Cause if so, that kind of damages the credibility right there.
Based on the content of these pages, I'd bet that if you did a FOIA request
they'd just send you the black magic-marker and keep the pages themselves to
save time.

That's too Rube Goldberg Kim. Wishing won't make it so. Simplest explanation
is, it's a fraud. Everyone has read Phil Corso - easiest thing in the world
for a misinformation agent to connect it to Corso. The litmus test is to say
something startlingly interesting. All any of these goofy reports show is a
low-level mentality with nothing but cliches out of some 50's Grade B sci-fi
movie. Colin Bennett said it very well better than me. Until I see some real
scientific information beyond comic book fantasy I reject all such reports
as empty of useful information. Clearly it's a covert debunking operation.
Kim Burrafato <lensman137@...> wrote:
Linda and Jack et al
Jack, Ray, and others have a good point in noting that there's really
nothing of any substance in the pages of the alleged photocopied report. No
"real physics or math." And they're just being careful and honest., as we
all have to do when evaluating information like this. But let me play
devil's advocate. These are allegedly pages from a 4th quarter research
report. Remember, "Isaac" said their primary mission was to filter this ET
technology down into to the mainstream, via the private sector. Where have
we heard this before? Phil Corso ring a bell? So, any executive briefing
would not be filled with esoteric math and theories. It would be straight
to the point. In this case (and I'd bet this isn't the only case) they
didn't really get anywhere. The Rosetta Stone hasn't been found yet, it
would appear. Put an automobile in front of a group of apes, and they'd
probably go through a number reaction stages, from fear, to awe, curiosity,
indifference, and maybe even hostility. Sooner or later, one of the apes
would get enough nerve to mess with the engine. He or she might figure out
how to yank a cable off or loosen a nut or screw. But what would they
really know about the object? We may be in a similar situation with regards
to understanding this alleged ET technology. I know that messes with a lot
of egos, but that may really be the case.
I would like to have seen more quantitative data here, but it wasn't
forthcoming. But I'm not willing to dismiss this as an elaborate hoax out
of hand. If it is a hoax. it was likely done by the USG, or rogue elements
thereof. The detail of the photos and linguistic charts is pretty amazing.
Which leads to another interesting correspondence. I'm sure many of you have
noticed the striking similarity of some of the "linguistic analysis" graphs
to some of the more complex crop circles that have appeared. Of course, the
skeptics will immediately chorus "well crops circles are all man made
fakes!" I'm not going to go there now, as it's off point. There's also the
correspondence with the glyphs on the Roswell wreckage reported by Jesse
Marcel and others. But Jack raised some important points when he said:
What is obvious now is that there is an elaborate
misinformation/disinformation conspiracy to use Linda Moulton Howe, Coast to
Coast AM and other UFO media venues. The ultimate goal is two-fold
1. To recruit gullible "True Believers" into a cult.
2. To ultimately debunk all UFO research by later revealing the fraud.
It is absolutely essential that all pro-UFO media people check their stories
with us first so we can at least tell if there is any real technical
information in them. Photos and videos cannot be believed without serious
technical evaluation.
By "us" I include Ray Hudson, Bruce Maccabee, Colin Bennett et-al
But I'm always distrustful of people who are too quick to dismiss.
Criticism is fine, and necessary. But in this case, I think there's some
reason to more open minded than some of us might normally be. The real test
will be if "Isaac" reveals more. It's unrealistic to assume that the people
he allegedly worked for, won't eventually figure out who he is. And if he's
for real, he'll know this and "come out." That would be his best defense
against reprisal. Time will tell. I guess.
So, Isaac, if you're out there monitoring all this, do the right thing and
go public and release everything you have. You'll be protected.

non-descript offices. We were in an office at one point on one program -
however the windows were plywooded, and sound was injected between the
external window and the plywood. From the outside it just looked like dark
smoked glass office windows. It was a fortress.
- the building was extremely well guarded, however, not from a public
standpoint. If someone got past the guard on the outside - not likely, they
would only see a rather standard reception desk. They would get no further
however.
When I was read into one program - I was told to go to a particular dentists
office in las vegas - I did not ask questions. This was a dentists office,
however it was also a polygraph center - AFOSI - cameras, microphones
dropped from the ceiling, and one way mirror room where you could be
observed. I was "hooked up" to the polygraph by a woman who never gave her
name.
- I do have one thing that is perplexing me - In my case you had to poly
"clean" to get out of the program. So espionage was a big big big no no and
being a patriot anyway - and not having the added burden of having been read
into non-terrestrial technology - I of course poly'd clean. However - you
are never officially read off........ the leash remains for your entire
life. Although my primary involvement beside reverse engineering - was
development of low observable technology. because of my involvement - I
was read into most of the programs and had free reign to wander pretty much
where I wished, at the main site. However - I had punches on my badge
except one, and that was "area 8" I was told that this was S4. I will not
speculate - I did not have a need to know - and I learned very early on to
lose my sense of curiosity. My suspicion now however is that we were a layer
or two of the onion "whiter" than other black programs.
On the "X CARET doc's
I saw no portion nor top and bottom classification markings on any of the
doc's - this rings true. Most of our stuff was just marked as "site
sensitive" and nothing more. If its a black program you do not want to draw
attention if something is compromised."

I believe this seriously impeaches at least THAT source. But I find this is
a trait of "true believers". they never wish to admit when certain pieces of
the story are impeached. There is NO WAY the kind of work described would
have been performed under the security conditions described without each and

Jack,
I read thru everything, including the "documents" offered as evidence. The
most glaring inconsistency is what dooms this as yet another hoax:
The author impresses upon us just how tight security was with gun-toting
military officers (and perhaps enlisted folk), not to mention the literal
strip-searches. And yet when you look at the alleged contractor report from
1986 there is not ONE SINGLE CONFIDENTIAL MARKING on this document that
would be required by standard DoD classification requirements. In 1986 I
was working as a new engineer at General Dynamics, Pomona Division on Naval
missile technology. It was when I first was granted a SECRET clearance,
which means that I know what sort of markings should be present on actual
classified documents. These documents show absolutely NONE of those
markings. There is no way this can be real given this inconsistency between
the story and the alleged evidence.

on the nature of the interaction of the RF fields which seems to be

Tim Ventura <tventura6@...> wrote:
Hi Rob --
### PLEASE READ ENTIRELY ###
Your description (below) sounds absolutely remarkable.
I would very sincerely ask you to document EVERY aspect of the experience to
the best of your ability - in writing would be the best, although if you'd
like to schedule some time for an audio interview I could record (you have a
show as well, but there might be some advantage to a targeted recording for
posterity). For instance, Harold Berndt noticed a buzzing-noise like an
over-driven tube-resonance right before the event he witnessed last year - a
small detail that may offer us a scientific explanation, and I suspect there
may be several things like this that you might not remember noticing even a
month or two from now. I'm also incredibly relieved that you got this
footage on tape.
Historically speaking, the problem with Hutchison has been the following:
1. Skeptics questioning the intelligence & credibility of people witnessing
the effect.
2. The claim that Hutchison is "psychic" and the effect is thus
irreproducible.
3. The claim that Hutchison is performing a hoax (by tipping the room upside
down, hidden wires, etc)
The "psychic" or "PK" claim has been the most insidious & pervasive: it was
first listed as a possibility by John Alexander, but subsequently picked up
by other scientists as evidence to explain away a series of anomalies that
appeared to threaten the existing paradigm of many people's scientific
knowledge. In reality Hutchison's work threatens nothing, and offers a lot
of potential, but psychologically this explanation has become a tool for the
scientific community to assuage their guilt at having no ready explanation
for the effect.
What's REALLY needed (in your documentary, hopefully), are observers who
will come forward and sincerely testify about what they've seen in an
accurate manner. John Alexander has done this effectively & fairly in past
programs, despite never having reportedly seen the effect himself. However,
most documentaries are entirely 3rd person, and it would help very much to
build public interest if you could speak in a personal manner about your
experience studying the paranormal and what it leads you to believe about
what you've seen.
I'd like to say three things for the record on this:
First, there are a number of possible avenues for understanding how the
Hutchison Effect works, and I believe all of them will lead us to an array
of remarkable new technologies. While many scientists and inventors have
explored a few of these in the past, Hutchison has never had the full
financial & scientific apparatus to conduct a real research effort. My own
belief is that with adequate infrastructure in place, it should be possible
to fully harness this effect and integrate it into today's science in a
beneficial manner.
Second, while John has been the victim of small minds and some irrational
fear by agencies like the Canadian EPA, I do NOT believe that he has been
the victim of a conspiracy to suppress his work. However, I am completely
convinced that nagging doubts and a lack of understanding by the
establishment has allowed this remarkable effect to "fall through the
cracks" and prevent it from receiving the rigorous study that it otherwise
would.
Third, Hutchison's work continues to receive interest at the highest levels
of government and academia, but several groups that I'm acquaintanced with
have expressed fear that they may ruin their own reputations by investing in
such an unknown phenomenon. This fear is greatly compounded by several
ignorantly skeptical comments that continue to circulate.
It is because of these factors that I believe what you've already
accomplished has TREMENDOUS value in terms of helping to keep the Hutchison
Effect in the public spotlight and encourage public interest in what may one
day lead to full-fledged scientific investigation. To date, I've found that
everyone with any real knowledge of this effect and it's history does not
dispute that it occurs, and while there are many different speculations on
the cause, I hope that your work is yet another block in the foundation of
credibility that will help John's work to change our world in a positive
way.
Sincerely;
Timothy M. Ventura

Hi Bill,
I was just at John's apt/laboratory with a camera crew for new TV
series i'm co-producing and hosting. We shot for over
7 hours, in High Def, and captured some extraordinary

You may ask about the HGH bottle that

It was constant and controlled.....stunning...:)
It seemed to have 'over-driven' some of the components,
I'm not sure if that is a common problem...

Hi Rob --
### PLEASE READ ENTIRELY ###
To date, I've found that
everyone with any real knowledge of this effect and it's history does not
dispute that it occurs, and while there are many different speculations on
the cause, I hope that your work is yet another block in the foundation of
credibility that will help John's work to change our world in a positive
way.
Sincerely;

Hi Everybody:
I've just posted American Antigravity's latest product offering online:
High-Res footage on DVD-Rom for both the STAIF 2006 and 2007 conferences.
I've recompressed this footage from the original raw files to 2
megabit-per-second files at 640x480 resolution - over twice as high as
anything on the web, with better sound quality to boot! Also, since March 15
was the 5-year anniversary for American Antigravity, I'm also releasing both
DVD-Roms together as a special edition set for a reduced price of $49.99.
Both DVD's are packed with conference footage: for 2006, it means 22
high-res interviews with some of the hottest researchers in advanced
propulsion physics. Interviews include Paul Czysz on Aurora & Hypersonic
Aircraft, Bob Cassonova on NIAC and futurism at NASA, Tom Valone on
Jeffimenko and the Biefeld-Brown Effect, Jeremiah Hansen on Diamagnetism for
artificial gravity, Dr. Eric Davis on applied string & brane theory for
advanced propulsion, Andrew Palfreyman and Paul March on the remarkable
Mach-Lorentz Thruser project, Dr. Martin Tajmar on superconductive
gravity-modification research in Austria, Danielle Graham on a novel form of
human levitation, to name only a few...
For 2007, we got permission to film in-session, resulting in 13 half-hour
conference presentations and 2 in-depth interviews with some of the hottest
researchers in advanced propulsion physics. Footage includes Dr. Robert
Baker on HFGW Surveillance & Fusion apps & chinese progress in the field,
Gary Stephenson & Colby Harper on HFGW applications in the telecom industry,
Martin Tajmar on progress in experimental superconductive
gravity-modification in Austria and a revolutionary new Nanotech modeling
tool, Richard Obousy on a brand new form of FTL-propulsion, Pharis Williams
on scalar communications and clean fusion technology, and more.
Thus far, I've had good luck at both conferences and captured some really
great innovation, but American Antigravity's changing role means buying new
equipment, so your purchase is important in helping us to upgrade our audio
and video capabilities for next year!
These DVD-Rom's exclusively contain Windows Media 10 format-footage, and
aren't meant for standalone players. Your PC will require a DVD-drive in
order to access them - this was intentional, in order to fit two to three
times more footage on a DVD than you could on a traditional
standalone-format disk. Additionally, the DVD's contain conference photos
and a copy of all our articles in PDF format, totaling over 1,000 pages of
documentation.
STAIF is currently the only peer-review, journal-published scientific
conference featuring presentations on warp-drives, antigravity, new-energy
technologies, and other alt-science concepts. While it isn't perfect, it's
becoming known as the pre-eminent venue for breakthrough science, and for
the last two years, I've taken on the responsibility of trying to capture
this revolution in the making.
American Antigravity's conference DVD's are the result of thousands of
dollars in travel, lodging, and admission costs in this pursuit, and the
distillation of a week-long conference into a select set of important new
revelations about where technology is going, and how we can all help it
arrive safely.

Dear Everybody:
Last year I ran myself into the dirt trying to get funding for American
Antigravity. It's a long and sordid story, but the short version is that I
wore myself out and came away with nothing from the endeavor. I was
physically and emotionally exhausted, and feeling a very bitter about a
couple of the deals and a few of the people involved in them. Yes, there are
people out there who would even take advantage of a non-profit, and that was
a pretty disheartening lesson for me to learn. After all this, I took some
time off, and wasn't sure if I wanted to do this anymore.
Nearly six-months later, I'm back. I realized that I love doing this work,
and so I'm starting to publish again because it's something that I think
makes a difference in the world. Even taking half the year off from the
project, AAG's traffic volume continued to increase -- up to a total of 1.6
million last year unique visitors. People believe in this, and it makes a
difference.
STAIF 2007 CONFERENCE ABSTRACTS:
http://www.americanantigravity.com/categories/Research/STAIF-Conference/2007
-Abstracts/
This year's conference went very well, and believe it or not we're starting
to see a real cross-pollination of ideas between the Antigravity & BPP
community (us) and the mainstream aerospace community. Also on the rise was
Section-E focusing on Space Colonization: they're proposing ideas so radical
for lunar & extraterrestrial colonization so radical that it makes the
warp-drive crowd look mundane in comparison.
STAIF 2007 VIDEO INTERVIEWS & PRESENTATIONS:
http://www.americanantigravity.com/categories/Video-Clips/
Over the next few days you'll begin seeing the 15 new videoclips (including
conference presentations!) going up online. These require a 512kb DSL or
Cable connection to view - although I plan on releasing them on DVD-Rom
later in the month as well. Along with the clips are an assortment of PDF
and PowerPoint presentations, which I am also in the process of adding
(although a bit more slowly).
THE AMERICAN ANTIGRAVITY MESSAGEBOARD:
The messageboard is gone. I removed it because it was rarely getting used,
and constantly being spammed with porn-postings. The reality is that the
newsgroups have been very quiet for a long time, and that despite the
enormous amount of work going on, there isn't a lot of chatter about
Antigravity these days on messageboards or newsgroups. If you have thoughts
or comments about an article, you can still post them at the bottom of each
story - I review each comment myself and remove the innappropriate postings
before they become visible.
If you LOVED the messageboard and want another one, then give me a call or
shoot me an email and we'll figure something out. Part of the problem was
the script-version of the board I was using, and maybe we could moderate
another one better if I spend a bit of time finding better messageboard
software.
NEW PRODUCTS:
I will also be releasing some new products over the next couple of weeks -
including DVD-Rom versions of many of the Conference coverage that I've
shot. I've had a few requests from people who don't have broadband, so
that's on the to-do list.

Dear All:
As you may know, I'm currently taking a vacation from American Antigravity in
order to pay some bills as well as get a bit of perspective on where things are
going. I'm still planning to attend the STAIF Conference this February, and
given the remarkable research in gravity-modification that I saw there last
year, I believe that I may have some very good news for you when I return from
the upcoming conference.
The position that I've taken is with a Seattle startup called Klir Analytics -
they make a web-based software application that lets you monitor the CPU,
memory, and bandwidth utilization for up to 25 machines for free, using a
next-generation AJAX-based interface.
Part of my job is to help them add users to their platform, and I'd like to ask
you to visit www.klir.com if you have any network monitoring needs. It uses
SNMP, which means that you can monitor PC's, routers, servers, and nearly any
other network appliance out there. I installed it on my PC's at home to keep
track of my home network, but it was really meant for businesses (for instance,
tracking email and web-servers is a great application for it).
Right now, the tool's really built around network monitoring and alarms, but as
it grows the plan is to add features - just like Google - and eventually work
towards commoditizing some of the data-center functionality that today costs
hundreds of thousands of dollars...most of that money being spent today is
wasted, and our hope is to make many of those services free.
Anyhow, if you get a chance to visit, the URL is www.klir.com - installation is
pretty simple, but if you have any questions feel free to email me.
Thanks;
Tim Ventura

Hi Everybody --
Just a reminder that we're still doing the subscription drive for American
Antigravity - the link to subscribe for $10 a month is below:
http://www.americanantigravity.com/articles/585/1/
I'm already putting these funds to good work, first in the form of an
upgrade to our content management system. Please note that it's going to
look a little funky until probably tomorrow when I finish updating the site,
but after that it should run a little faster and be a little more stable
than the previous release of this software package.
This upgrade was required: our CMS was being comment-spammed by automated
scripts, which means that after completing this upgrade, my next project is
then removing 2,000 junk comments one at a time from our database. This will
also improve the load times a little bit.
Also, if you haven't signed up for our Space Activism group at Yahoo! yet,
take a minute to do so. I haven't started a discussion there yet, but it is
active, and awaiting members to join. The idea is to put our heads together
to find a way to better reach the general public. I think that valuable
topics would be conferences, promoting technologies in the media, and other
action-based strategies to help educate the public & support our community.

Dear All:
I'd like to say thank you to everyone for the letters of support over the
last week. I've put the subscription fundraiser link through PayPal online
at:
http://www.americanantigravity.com/articles/585/1/
Again, for $10 a month, you can not only help us support AAG, but also
contribute to our growth over the next few years.
Thus far, we've had about 20 subscribers, but to meet our budget needs, we
need to reach 1,000. If you believe in the site - what it stands for, what
we cover, and what we've achieved over the last four years, then please
subscribe, and please also email your friends and relatives to tell them
about American Antigravity.
I wouldn't ask for this help if I didn't need it: after years of trying
product sales, grant applications, and advertising on the web, I've found
that it's just a difficult medium to build a business around unless you
switch to a "members only" style approach - and that runs counter to
everything that American Antigravity stands for. I don't believe in
parceling out information in tiny little pieces for $20 each, and every time
I see a website online doing that, it makes me sick.
This is just as much your future as mine - is it fair to nail you for fees &
complicate your life with passwords just to read about it? However, I have
to balance this against being able to survive, and that's something that
gets more challenging with every passing day. That's why I'm asking for
volunteer subscriptions, and I'm going to work on adding additional member
services soon to help give you as much as possible for your contribution.
It's less than the price of a cup of coffee in the morning, so if you have
the chance, please subscribe.

Two days ago I posted an in-depth interview with Stanislav Adamenko on
emerging fusion technologies in the Ukraine - he's working on a new process
that can increase the efficiency of existing fusion techniques by 3 to 6
times over their current efficiency.
Beginning tomorrow, I'm going to share some of Paul Czysz technical notes on
hypersonic aircraft design. As the former chief scientist of the NASP
project, Czysz is one of the world's leading experts on hypersonic
propulsion. In "Aurora & Beyond", which I published in July, he described
not only his personal belief in the existence of the secret Aurora project,
but also talked about receiving calls from former colleagues telling him
that these hypersonic aircraft were built and have been flown.
I think this revelation is as important in it's own way was as the
breakthrough technologies that we cover, and as we begin to stabilize
American Antigravity's budget and expand, I can begin delivering more
stories, more video, and more interviews to you much more frequently. In
fact, one of my goals over time is to add staff writers to cover specific
focus areas to ensure that we provide the latest coverage for emerging
technologies in the most timely way possible.
We've got some interesting current projects coming up: one of them is our
attempt to measure the Hutchison Effect, using equipment kindly loaned to us
by inventor & electronics engineer Bill Alek from Intalek.Com. Our goal is
to try a completely new measurement by taking a reading directly from the
samples that Hutchison works with while the effect is happening, which might
just give us the magic we need to recreate this effect in a lab environment.
Additionally, we're working on a proposal to put Gennady Shipov's
reactionless drive onboard the Bigelow orbital station when it launches in
November. This is a joint project with Richard C. Hoagland and the
Enterprise Mission, and if successful, it will break new ground as the
world's first test of a reactionless drive in a zero-gravity environment.

Dear All:
I've had some surprising feedback about the funding email that I sent out
yesterday, so let me give you a bit of background info on the situation &
what the strategy was supposed to be...
PART 1: FUNDRAISING
Our story begins last year, in January of 2005. Basically, since 2002 I'd
been bouncing around doing a bit of contract work in the IT industry, but
the economy here was pretty hosed, and it was getting harder to land
contracts. I picked one up in the summer of 2004 that was supposed to be a
6-month contract-to-hire, which I planned on keeping so that I could work on
the website after hours and still pay the bills. I'm not one of those people
who likes to work from home - for whatever reason, I'm more focused in an
office setting - and so working telecom during the day and doing AAG
after-hours would have been a sweet deal. Unfortunately, myself and 4 others
from the group that I was hired into had our contracts cut short pending the
2005 takeover of AT&T Wireless by Cingular, so after only 3 months on the
job, I was back out looking for work.
So in January of 2005, my wife and I agreed that I'd turn AAG into a
full-time job, and incorporate as a non-profit. Initially, our plan had been
to fund the company through non-profit donations, and then invest those in
infrastructure and funding key experiments to validate new technologies. It
was an easy choice: after all, I was already putting in every spare minute
that I had on the website, doing interviews and writing stories, and the IT
industry was unpredictable enough that I believed that even if it took AAG a
year to get rolling, we'd still have more stability than bouncing around the
tech-industry looking for contract work. Another key element was being able
to do what I love and I'm good at full-time, and being able to put my time
into something that I think actually helps the human race. Maybe the telecom
industry does this also, but there are thousands of people out there doing
that already, and not too many doing AG-research.
When we incorporated in March, we had a great fundraiser and pulled together
$2,500 to hire a lawyer, incorporate the website, and get setup as a 501c[3]
to collect donations. Thank you all for that, as without your help that
would have never happened. It was an exciting time, but then I had to begin
addressing the realities of actually finding funding for AAG. I started with
a donations drive, which didn't work, and moved from there immediately into
writing grant applications to the government & major corporate foundations.
What I found is that not only did we have a lot of competition for the grant
money, but that our competition was from social-causes like "AIDS
prevention" - the kind of thing that people like to donate to because they
feel good about life, meaning that the grants we applied for invariably went
to other organizations.
That's the point, last summer, where I rebuilt the website with the content
management system, added author logins, and put up some products to sell.
The products were a no-go, although we sold a few CD-Roms to help pay the
web-hosting bills. My hope had been that if we could enlist the audience &
other researchers to write articles for the site, then I could take a step
back to work on finding a way to fund the site, but for whatever reason that
was also a no-go. I did have several people contribute articles, so it
wasn't a complete failure, but it was a bit depressing to realize that as a
community-forum for advanced propulsion & technology, I was still pretty
much the only person actually writing articles for the site. Anyhow, towards
the end of the year I switched from grant-applications to first attempting
to sell advertising on the website, and later simply putting up Google
Adwords, which pays a couple of hundred a month, but again isn't really a
sustainable income.
PART 2: THE SITUATION
Part of the reason that I formed the non-profit was the no-so-subtle
observation in 2005 that the entire aerospace industry was really beginning
to fall apart at the seams. NASA had already shut down the BPP program in
2003, but most of the people who'd been hangers-on after it closed down were
starting to move on to more mainstream work. I had Boeing and Lockheed
engineers telling me that there were completely bored at work - because all
of the projects they were assigned to involved either oversized RC model
planes ("UAV's"), or else were simply refinements on existing aircraft
technologies without any innovation involved. At around this same time, some
of the ex-NASA and other types started asking me to publish some of their
work on AAG, because they didn't have anyplace else to go.
This downturn in aerospace was coupled with a massive die-off in the
alt-science community. New Energy Technologies had shut down for lack of
funding, TeslaTech seemed to be really struggling, and the rumors were that
Infinite Energy was going to shut down. Also, the death of Charles Yost at
The Electric SpaceCraft Journal brought in a new editor who wanted to revise
the magazine to focus exclusively on electromagnetic propulsion at the
expense of anything not "proven", and to cap it all off a bunch of the
websites that used to pick up traffic from the Coast to Coast AM radio-show
began having troubles because the show wasn't sending them any traffic
anymore.
Richard Hoagland and myself had some interesting conversations about what
was happening, and how universally pervasive it seemed to be, and I started
to realize that the "fight the power" mentality I'd founded American
Antigravity on no longer worked, because there was nobody left to fight. The
capstone to this point was realized after our BPP presentation for Mike
Griffin: only a couple of days before he reviewed our joint-BPP proposal,
he'd walked over to Tony Robertson's advanced propulsion group at NASA and
had them sell all their test-equipment for scrap (literally). He didn't do
this because he's a jerk - the simple truth in fact was that NASA's budget
was far too tight to accomodate this new "Apollo"program mandated by
President Bush, so Griffin was cutting as many corners as possible to simply
do his job. Needless to say, he wasn't able to take us up on our Open-Source
BPP Proposal, but I think that it was nonetheless a statement worth
making...
PART 3: THE STRATEGY
As it stands right now, American Antigravity probably isn't only venue out
there covering and promoting advanced propulsion research, but right now we
don't have a lot of competition - and that's probably an understatement. It
changes the picture considerably, because even though AAG hasn't had a lot
of money, we've had the stability of being around for a while as everybody
else folds up shop. The more of this that I saw happening, the more I
started realizing that my responsibility was greater than just my website,
and that I had to start thinking about how to help the rest of this
fledgling industry.
Hoagland and I talked about attempting a plan based on consolidation -
similar in practice to what OSEN was proposing for energy. Simply put, we
could try to put together financing to begin onboarding some of these
BPP-style materials into a single venue, which could then end up becoming
something like the "CNN of Space". For instance, a good case-example is Dr.
David Livingston, who runs "The Space Show". He's done about 300 excellent
interviews across the space industry, but since he's so focused on the space
business, he doesn't have the resources to effectively promote or manage his
website. Our thought was to consolidate his online site into ours, help to
support him with a monthly stipend, and ultimately he'd benefit from greater
exposure + ease of management and we'd benefit from having additional
material.
Additionally, we talked about archiving conference papers on BPP, which I've
already started doing for the STAIF and HFGW conferences. Again, this helps
the community by increasing ease of access & raising the online visibility
of this material, and it helps AAG by raising our search engine relevance,
which means more traffic.
Our final goal was to begin building a solid media operation to support the
space industry. My thought had been to capitalize on the "proof of concept"
TV-webcast that I'd done with Matthew Carson in January to create a "morning
show webcast" that aerospace industry employees could watch in the office. A
great idea, but like the consolidation concept, it requires funding.
Associated with all of this is infrastructure: simply put, it's expensive.
For instance, migrating from the remote host that I use now to a dedicated
hosting solution might cost several thousand dollars, but to effectively
host all of this new web-content, the direction to go in is a real "Content
Management System", which can cost upwards of a million dollars (when you
factor in servers, backups, load-sharing, bandwidth, etc). Matthew Carson
was able to do a professional job putting his site together for only about
$600,000, so while we are able to find a workable model, it's still
expensive.
Also, based on the OSEN model, consolidation has some real advantages. For
one thing, most people stink at web-design, and even if they don't, it's
easier for them to get the message out by publishing it on a site like AAG.
There's an existing audience, and that makes it easier for people to get the
message out. Also, publishing on AAG means that you reach an audience that
cares, unlike publishing on Slashdot, which ends up getting you a few
million flame-emails from self-righteous computer-geeks surfing the site for
stuff to trash-talk.
Finally, this model builds credibility for new ideas in general by putting
them on a dedicated forum alongside other comparable ideas. We have a
non-political, non-religious format, which keeps authors from becoming their
own worst enemy by trash-talking the president or the war in Iraq when they
really should be focusing on talking about their ideas for propulsion. Also,
by using a polished online format for presentation, it helps to present the
material in a more professional manner than a lot of the other sites out
there - and of course, with the funding to refine the website over time,
there's no limit to where it can go.
CONCLUSION:
In any case, that was the plan, but every single attempt that we made to
raise funding for the website seems to have failed completely. A monthly
subscription-drive is our only remaining option at this point, but if it
doesn't generate enough revenue to actually move foward with the website,
then I'll have to call it quits for good. I've also considered converting
the website into a for-profit to better raise the capital required, but
that's a lengthy process and will take a while to complete, and given our
horrible track record in terms of reaching investors, there's really no
incentive to undertake that at the moment. I'd figured that $10 per month is
fair, since I spend that much on Wired Magazine and Scientific American
every month, and end up disappointed with both of them every time.
Personally, one of AAG's strengths (and BPP's weaknesses) I think is
realizing that the themes for the 21st century are far different from those
in the last century, and that providing any type of media coverage for this
research takes a new approach. I think that's why Coast is having trouble,
and that's why Space in general doesn't have the sizzle that it once did. So
if this is able to work, hopefully we can play a community-based role in
rivitalizing the space-industry.
A couple of people have asked me about a "members area", which I'm thinking
about, but it'll take me a bit to figure out a good way to do something like
this without cutting off the public to AAG's content. If I did that, then it
would ultimately undermine the very purpose of the effort.
Sincerely;
Timothy M. Ventura

Right now the alternative-science movement is in a better position to shape
the future of mankind than any other community on Earth. It can do this
through providing a clear, unified vision of the future that offers
innovative solutions to technical problems in energy, propulsion, healing,
and general physics that have been thus far intractable to the mainstream
scientific establishment.
For the first time in history, alt-science has build solid, supportive
relationships with mainstream academia, government, and military concerns
based on mutual need and the realization that no single group can solve
these challenges by itself. The establishment has failed miserably at
offering 21st century solutions to the world's problems, and a transition is
ready to occur in which alt-science becomes accepted into the establishment
to help change and revitalize it from the inside.
If this positive, optimistic thinking is news to you, it's because the
transition hasn't happened yet, and it probably won't. The reason is simple,
and has nothing to do with conspiracies or big brother. Quite simply, the
once-supportive efforts in the alt-science environment have fragmented into
a hundred competing interests too busy with infighting and politics to
actually work together for community-based activism.
We are additionally haunted by another problem which threatens to overwhelm
our best efforts: despite the incredible innovation emerging from the
alt-science environment, the hard truth is that this community has never
toned down it's rhetoric to actually participate as a new part of the
mainstream establishment. Furthermore, the rhetoric of conspiracies,
alien-abductions, and crop-circles are outdated themes that belong in the
last century, and play stale to a 21st century public trying to solve the
immediate challenges in today's environment. In a world haunted by wars over
oil, economic hardship and global terrorism, nobody cares about cattle
mutilations in Montana, and fanatical statements about the government
causing this to happen because of underground alien bases is, in short,
insane.
It's likely that the major themes driving the alt-science community
originated in the cold-war mentality that dominated the 20th century - they
arose from the fear & uncertainty of living in a world split in half and
perpetually threatened by a policy of Mutually Assured Destruction that
could begin unannounced at any time. Further, these stories were compounded
by massive government investment in secret military technologies, and
imaginative speculation on what these technologies might be within the
community itself. Nearly two decades after the end of the cold war, and a
decade after the start of the internet revolution, things have changed, and
alt-science hasn't remade itself to stay relevant in a world that's very
different today than it was yesterday.
Today's public is smarter, more globally-aware, and far more technically
savvy than they were 20 years ago. They have access to far more information
on science & technology, and spend more of their household income in it. The
public is not only generally aware of the direction that technology is
going, they're also more aware of the true limits of contemporary
technology, and have a better understanding of the terminology used in
describing complex scientific & technical terms. As such, alternative
science needs to remold it's image to speak in terms that are acceptable to
the general public based as closely as possible to concepts within
mainstream science. Otherwise, the public will continue to interpret alt-sci
as being "fringe crackpots wearing tinfoil hats".
American Antigravity's past success has come from working not in
mainstream-science, nor fully in alternative-science, but essentially from
finding a bridge between the two worlds to allow visionaries to communicate
ideas "across the fence", and hopefully provide robust solutions to
challenges in energy & aerospace as a result. We've been far more successful
than our contemporaries in terms of mainstream acceptance, and thus what we
publish is typically accepted more easily and given the due diligence it
deserves, in comparison to more traditional alt-science material that gets
ignored because of the language, wording, presentation that it's delivered
with.
Fragmentation in the alt-science community began in the late 1990's with a
rapid transition from a conference-based community model to one based around
online information & community resources. While sharing information online
is a vastly more efficient tool for educating the public than conferences
are, it nonetheless lacks the solid business-model based on conference fees
and vendor exhibits that the earlier model had. This is further complicated
by a similar transition from the "indy-newsletter" as a means of
communication to the use of online newsgroups, which again don't provide a
sustainable revenue model. Thus, fragmentation occurred as various interests
flocked from an established model to a non-sustainable one with a low cost
of entry, leading to thousands of small, poorly designed websites that do
more harm than good for the alt-science community.
With the exception of having no financing, the alt-science community
experienced the dot-com boom in exactly the same way that other online
businesses did: a series of small, initial efforts gave way to a period of
market consolidation, followed by the emergence of a few large business
entities with more sustainable models. However, as none of the models in
alt-science have thus far proved sustainable, a period of soul-searching and
general desperation has set it as the larger entities struggle to retain
their role as the last bastions of public interaction within this community.
This has led to infighting and the general collapse of the community itself,
as illustrated by the following examples:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------
1. NEWSGROUPS: Because of Yahoo!'s dominance as a major online web-portal in
the 1990's, the vast majority of alt-science discussion took place in a
series of newsgroups. The newsgroup peak occurred around 2002 or 2003, where
in the realm of antigravity by itself a series of 5 or 10 major discussion
forums had enrollment of nearly 100,000 users. Since that period, Yahoo!
newsgroups have declined by an order of magnitude, with enrollment in 2006
reaching only tens of thousands or less. The newsgroups are no longer major
forums filled with practical discussion of new ideas, inventions, and
concepts in alt-sci - they are now dominated by a few holdover
"power-posters" pushing socio-political agendas, further pushing enrollment
to record low levels.
2. COAST TO COAST AM: After a record-breaking streak of community-building
during the 1990's, Coast to Coast AM was sold to a major radio network,
followed immediately by the departure of show-host Art Bell. The show
immediately lost 90% of it's audience, and as a response, the new management
company prompted show host George Noory to focus on less technical topics in
an effort to recapture lost ratings by engaging a larger female demographic
to boost ratings. This well-intentioned idea backfired by driving away the
remaining "hangers-on" waiting for Art to return, and despite Noory's
efforts to at least rebuild the audience to semi-sustainable efforts, Coast
to Coast AM is no longer in a leadership position as a major community
resource pushing alt-science ideas, concepts, and visionaries. As point of
fact, the new format actively discourages this, as innovators like John
Hutchison are black-listed from the show due to complaints from the "new,
non-technical" audience, and long-term guests like Richard C. Hoagland are
stereotyped into roles that greatly limit their ability to make a positive
impact to the alt-science community. In any event, Coast to Coast AM has
gone from #3 on the Arbitron ratings list of top talk-radio shows to the #10
position in 2004, indicating that regardless of focus or intent, the show is
not in nearly the position that it once was to contribute anything to
alt-science.
3. INFINITE-ENERGY MAGAZINE: In addition to publishing a true scientific
journal detailing ongoing research in Cold-Fusion and Low-Energy Nuclear
Reactions, founder Gene Mallove worked diligently as a community-spokesman
for alternative science, and contributed greatly to building a sense of
participation and community in an otherwise fragmented community. Even
before his murder in 2004, Mallove cited concerns about public interest
waning in LENR due to the time elapsed since that topic had received it's
initial surge of mainstream public interest from Pons & Fleischmann in the
early 1990's. While editor Christy Frazier admirably struggles to keep the
magazine alive, many have speculated that Infinite Energy's days are
numbered.
4. NEW ENERGY TECHNOLOGIES: Created by innovator Alex Frolov, New Energy
Technologies Magazine served as a central resource for alt-science activism
in Russia, and promoted a globalist-view of innovations that exceeded former
national rivalries. During it's heyday, the magazine was quite spectacular
in featuring innovations previously unseen in the west, and doing it in a
solid, rigorous format that exceeded expectations to serve as a truly
international journal for alternative science. NET Magazine made a very
large impact, but never achieved a large audience - at best selling only
around 2,000 copies a month. Thus, the magazine itself was financially
supported by philanthropist Christopher Bremner, and when we was no longer
able to provide fincial support, the magazine was forced to cease operations
in 2005.
5. OPEN-SOURCE ENERGY NETWORK: Founded by dot-com media guru Matthew Carson,
the Open Source Energy Network was an online multimedia project hoping to
provide a full range of media delivery and content-management system driven
resources for the alt-science community. While officially OSEN is still in
existence, the project has shown no movement since early 2006, and
widespread speculation supports the notion that Matthew Carson and the OSEN
team found a general attitude of apathy in the alt-science community that
undermined their efforts to make a positive impact. Certainly after spending
several hundred thousand dollars on the CMS system, they must have been
surprised when less than a handful of innovators actually migrated their own
poorly-constructed sites onto the slick, well-run OSEN platform. The belief
is that inventors were concerned about losing either their individuality or
"potential" ability to generate income with their own sites if they
migrated, thus limiting OSEN's ability to acquire content effectively. Thus,
this project is believed to be effectively over.
6. AMERICAN ANTIGRAVITY: Founded in 2002 by Tim Ventura, American
Antigravity achieved immediate media success by showcasing "Lifter
technology" on a variety of national and international television networks.
This led to the establishment of a strong traffic base to that later served
as the basis for a news-bureau focused on emerging & breakthrough
technologies (primarily aerospace), by Tim Ventura. While American
Antigravity eventually lost much of the initial audience as the novelty of
Lifters began to wear off, it eventually rebuilt the audience to 2 million
visitors a year by serving as a primary resource for multimedia content on a
variety of technology concepts. However, as an open-source non-profit,
American Antigravity's primary limitation was the ability to effectively
derive sustainable income from the content that it generated and delivered.
7. TESLATECH: Founded by former International Tesla Society organizer Steve
Elswick, the TeslaTech Conference has suffered from a loss of audience as
interest shifts from expensive conference-settings into less expensive
online media format based on web-centric multimedia tools. During the
1990's, TeslaTech reportedly had thousands of attendees, and was thus able
to support a high-budget conference capable of bringing together diverse
interests from a variety of sources into a single community forum. Since
that time, despite the gallant efforts of Elswick to support a positive
community forum, the conference has encountered severe hardship as its
audience continues to contract. While Elswick optimistically declared that
the 2006 conference was better than 2005's, the concern still exists that
this community resource is having difficult facing general community apathy
in the new century.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------
The examples above are indicative of the state of alt-science, and obviously
not a total summary of all the organizations attempting to promote this
research online. The simple truth is that public interest, in-general, is
subsiding, as shown by trend-analysis from a widespread pool of online
venues that I have access to statistics for. As this community contracts,
it's boundaries will continue to fragment across the traditional fault-lines
until the public's perspective of alt-science as being "a million isolated
kooks" once again becomes the reality.
Sincerely;
Timothy M. Ventura

Hi Dean --
To your question about government conspiracies shutting down American
Antigravity:
I spent about 2 hours on the phone with Eugene Mallove a couple of days
before he was murdered, and the part of the story that nobody read about in
the newsgroups was that he was feeling pretty bitter & cynical about
alt-science. He was locked into a magazine that he'd invested his reputation
in, but he found that public interest in cold-fusion was slipping away, and
Infinite-Energy Magazine was having a tough time maintaining their
readership. Mallove was spending every waking hour of his day working on the
magazine - networking to find stories, calming down irate inventors, and
pushing public initiatives like the re-analysis of cold fusion that the DOE
performed in November after his death.
After he died, it came out that there'd been all sorts of controversy even
within his organization - infighting on his board of directors about which
direction they should pursue scientifically, and even a rumor about
replacing Mallove as the spokesperson for the organization with Steven
Krivit. He never talked about any of this to me directly, but I started
hearing about it from several sources a few months after he died. I didn't
talk to Mallove frequently, but one of the questions I'd asked him about was
how to fund this research, and he never had any answers for me. I had the
distinct impression that towards the end, he'd really lost his faith in the
public, and just kept going through the motions hoping that sooner or later
things would change for the better. Mallove wasn't suppressed by the
government - he was suppressed by the alt-science community. You don't need
a conspiracy when general apathy works just as well.
The only way that I see to make American Antigravity work right now is to
try a membership drive to try and reach 1,000 people at $10 per month - if
we can do that, it gives me enough revenue to add staff-writers, build out
our IT-infrastructure, and begin making progress on the other projects that
we need to undertake. If we can reach this goal, AAG can effectively deliver
alt-science & breakthrough physics to the general public in way that
supports our community & gives everyone in it a solid channel to deliver
their message to the public. Otherwise, I'm going to pack it in and go back
to college for my MBA, which will probably take a few years to complete.
The hard truth is that the public doesn't value alt-science because what's
out there today looks crackpot in every conceivable way: the only way the
public's going to get interested is if it looks professional & credible
enough to engage them. That's why Steorn is getting publicity right now -
they had the financial resources to leverage marketing & media to deliver
their message to a mainstream audience. I've seen a lot of inventions that
put the Steorn magnet-motor to shame, but reaching the public is like
politics: it takes money to get your name out there.
Reaching this goal means that I'm going to need a lot of volunteer work to
help support the membership drive. I'll also need volunteers to contribute
stories, just like I've been asking for over the last couple of years. It
will require a large campaign with a significant time-investment, but when
it's complete we'll be in a position to promote your research full-time in a
CNN-like format. I'm not sure that I have the energy to organize an effort
like this, so if anybody's interested, they can contact me at the numbers
below. If I get a few emails in response, I can setup a paypal membership
button. If not, then I'll just head back to school and get back into the IT
industry after the economy improves a bit.
Just a note: Right now, our community is in worse-shape than it's ever been.
Not just AAG, but alt-science in general. Trust me, I know a lot more
details about this than most people. I may write some of it down, but the
quick version is that unless some miraculous grass-roots effort happens, AAG
shutting down will be quickly followed by losing most of the remaining
resources that you've come to rely on. Things aren't bad; they're worse.
Typically nobody talks about it because we don't want to demoralize the
community, but suffice it to say that action is needed soon or alt-science
will basically just evaporate.
American Antigravity's statistics put us on track to reach about 2 million
visitors for 2006, so for anybody who'd like a shot at the title, I'll tell
you in advance that you need to reach about 10-times that many to build a
sustainable media presence through web-traffic. We were lucky in reaching
about 40 million people through Radio & Television between 2002 and 2004, so
odds are unless you get some network TV exposure, you'll have a tough time
even reaching 2 million. (that's unique visitors, not hits. We're at 43
million "hits" this year, if you're counting). My problem has never been
getting exposure: it's been generating income to build a business.

Hi Everybody --
Thus far, I've got three interview videos online from the TeslaTech 2006
conference - including an overview of the "Ranch Project" that Bill Alek &
Gary Voss are trying to put together in Arizona as an eco-friendly community
to support inventors. The videos are 512kb Google streaming video.
Additionally, I put together a photo-documentary with some of the best
photos I took at TeslaTech as an introspective on the conference.
Also, I just finished an overview of the Metal Storm technology featured on
the Discovery Channel. Check it out today!

Dear All:
Over the next day or two, I'm going to be posting video-interviews from
TeslaTech 2006, including a brand-new interview with Kiril Chukanov about
his Quantum Free-Energy / ZPE technology. These are in a 512kb video stream,
which is a bit higher bit-rate than the 340kbps streams that we typically
use - the extra bandwidth makes a big difference in quality, but I worry
that it might be too fast for some DSL connections. If you have problems
with it, please let me know. Unfortunately, there's no practical way to
create video for dial-up, but for broadband users we're trying to provide
the highest quality possible.

Hi Everybody --
Quick Update: I just put my resume up on American Antigravity -- I'm looking
for tech work in the Seattle/Redmond area. Relax, it doesn't mean the site's
shutting down -- just that I've been paying for it out of pocket for 4 years
now, and I'm going to have to continue doing this: so I might as well have a
9 to 5 to have cash on hand for the site, mortgage, food, and the basics...
Also, I just finished an interview with Ralph Merkle on space-cryonics: as
you may have read in my letter to Art Bell last week, I'm also working on a
big one about Aurora that I should have completed hopefully by early next
week.
Have a good one;

Hi Everybody --
June & July are going to be busy months this year, and we're starting it out
with a bang in a 6-part feature on Warren York's Time-Dilation Technology.
I've just completed putting up 3 audio interviews, 2 video clips, and a
photo-documentary on cold-plasma beam experiments conducted by Warren York &
Mike Windell, with assistance from inventor Andy McQuerry. They've
constructed a chamber that contains a plasma-vortex, and they've found that
by applying the correct resonant field-frequencies, they can change the
structural properties of crystals, a lot like Hutchison is able to change
materials with his apparatus.
However, they've also experienced what they believe are missing-time and
dimensional-draft effects that they think are by products of the
experiments, so we've explored their stories in detail to learn more about
what they've built and why it works.
There's more to come over the next few weeks, so if you haven't visited
American Antigravity recently, this is the time to catch our latest work
(and tell a few friends, too!)

The Gravitational Impulse Generator
http://www.americanantigravity.com/articles/535/1/
In 2001, Dr. Evgeny Podkletnov began publishing a series of scientific
papers detailing the experimental results of what he called an "impulse
gravity generator". The device reportedly produced hundreds of pounds of
gravitational force in a non-diverging beam, capable of "punching holes
through concrete and warping metal like hitting it with a sledgehammer".
Podkletnov further added that this beam produced no recoil on the
superconducting emitter itself, and that a radiation had been produced
behind the device creating a molecular juxtaposition between plastics,
metals, and living tissues similar to that described in the Hutchison
Effect...
"My latest experiment is a device called the "gravity impulse generator",
which utilizes a Marx-Generator discharge through a superconducting emitter
in a high-magnetic field to create a wave in time-space with properties very
close to gravity-waves. The similarities are apparent enough we're almost
positive that it actually is a form of gravity. These impulses can be
directionally projected in any direction in space, and they exert a force on
any object in the path of propagation.
The force of the impulse depends entirely on the structure of the
superconducting emitter and the voltage that we apply to it. Given the
materials & voltages we currently have available, we can obtain large
impulses capable of deforming metal plates with a thickness of a couple of
inches, and we've also been able to demonstrate punching holes in thick
concrete walls. The impulse deforms metal in the way that a hydraulic press
might do it.
We also recorded a strange kind of non-focused radiation emanating from the
back of the impulse-generator that was very harmful to biological tissue --
fortunately for us; the impulses were very short in time. It was very
harmful to living organisms; we also observed a melting or
molecular-juxtaposition effect of biological tissues with plastic materials,
and even with metals to some extent." - Dr. Evgeny Podkletnov

ESA Announces Gravity-Modification Breakthrough
Gravitomagnetic London Effect Found in Rotating Superconductors
This week the <http://www.esa.int/SPECIALS/GSP/SEM0L6OVGJE_0.html> European
Space Agency announced the results of an experimental test in which a
superconductor rotating at 6,500 rpm is shown to gain weight as the result
of what is believed to be a gravity-modification effect. As reported by the
ESA, "The experiment demonstrated that a superconductive gyroscope is
capable of generating a powerful gravitomagnetic field, and is therefore the
gravitational counterpart of the magnetic coil. Although just 100 millionths
of the acceleration due to the Earth’s gravitational field, the measured
field is a surprising one hundred million trillion times larger than
Einstein’s General Relativity predicts."
The results were presented March 21st at the ESA's European Space and
Technology Research Centre (ESTEC), in a paper entitled "
<http://arxiv.org/abs/gr-qc/0603033> Experimental Detection of the
Gravitomagnetic London Moment". The paper predicts the presence of a large
gravitomagnetic field within a rotating superconductor, and describes the
experimental detection of this phenomenon as an extra-gravitational
acceleration on the superconductor on the order of 100 µg.
The experiment was performed by Dr's <http://ilfb.tuwien.ac.at/~tajmar/>
Martin Tajmar & Clovis De Matos at ARC Seibersdorf, Austria's largest
independent research laboratory. Tajmar, the Head of Field Space Propulsion
Business for ARC, was quoted as stating that these results, while
preliminary, were nonetheless rigorously reviewed before publication, "We
ran more than 250 experiments, improved the facility over 3 years and
discussed the validity of the results for 8 months before making this
announcement. Now we are confident about the measurement." Dr. Tajmar
previously commented on this continuing research study during a
<http://www.americanantigravity.com/articles/471/1/> video-interview with
American Antigravity at STAIF 2006.
While the announcement of these initial test-results is highly promising,
Tajmar suggested that more experimentation is required before the results
can be considered fully conclusive. In a statement Saturday, Tajmar
remarked, "Of course, this effect needs further confirmation with other
sensors, setups, etc. As an experimentalist, it is always very hard to
release such data knowing that the claims are extraordinary, so I really
want to be very cautious."
Tajmar's experimental results follow in a long thread of anecdotal claims &
theoretical predictions from scientists such as Dr's Ning Li, Evgeny
Podkletnov, Douglas Torr, Robert Baker, Raymond Chiao, and David Maker.
While Li & Podletnov have described seeing remarkable large-scale
experimental results, other experiments have produced no results whatsoever,
creating a general uncertainty in the scientific community as to whether
gravitomagnetic effects do in fact exist in superconductors.
Dr. Clive Woods of Iowa State University addressed the issue of
gravitational-coupling in superconductors in a recent publication entitled "
<http://www.americanantigravity.com/articles/407/1/> High-Frequency
Gravitational Wave Optics". His research revisits earlier calculations by Li
& Torr showing that gravitational waves inside a Type-II superconductor
propogate with a phase-velocity 300 times slower than in free-space, and
leading to the hypothesis that a superconductor may require focusing in
order to correctly absorb & re-radiate gravitational waves. This notion may
explain in part at least some of the difficulty found in obtaining
consistent experimental results, as illustrated by the experimental failure
of Dr. Raymond Chiao's "
<http://www.tribuneindia.com/2002/20020502/science.htm#2> gravity-radio"
experiment in 2003.
While Woods’ publication certainly seems to provide new insight into
manipulating gravitational force using superconductors, Tajmar believes that
Woods’ research is not applicable to this latest experiment, "As you have
probably seen in the experimental paper, we found the effect in Nb and Pb
(Type-II and Type-I) - so it's not specifically related to Type-I or II
superconductors. Moreover, Clive based his focusing requirements on the
speed of gravity equation from an old Li & Torr paper - after calculating
through her paper, I believe that this specific equation is not correct."
Another startling aspect of Tajmar's reported experimental results is the
scale, which demonstrates a coupling many orders of magnitude higher than
both Relativity Theory and earlier research into High-Frequency
Gravity-Waves (HFGW's) would predict. HFGW researcher & STAIF
Session-Chairperson Gary Stephenson commented on this by noting that the
difference in scale of the reported effects may be the result of Tajmar's
experimental implimentation, which he described as a "DC static
gravitomagnetic field, potentially bound by different coupling efficiencies
than those predicted by the wavelike AC-nature of traditional High-Frequency
Gravitational Waves."
If the gravitomagnetic coupling coefficient is in fact higher for
rotating-superconductors than for HFGW experiments, it could mean new life
for the experimental research of
<http://www.americanantigravity.com/articles/40/1/> Dr. Evgeny Podkletnov,
best-known for a <http://www.wired.com/wired/6.03/antigravity.html>
highly-publicized 1996 claim to have created a
<http://arxiv.org/abs/cond-mat/9701074> 2% decrease in the weight of a YBCO
Type-II superconductor rotating at 5,000 rpm. Podkletnov has since then also
described creating a powerful " <http://arxiv.org/abs/physics/0108005>
force-beam" apparatus by passing a high-energy electrical discharge from a
Marx-Generator through a superconducting spark-gap during experimentation at
the Moscow Chemical Research Institute in Russia.
Gary Stephenson commented in the similarity between the 1996 experiments and
Tajmar's results, stating, "Tajmar's experiment seems highly analogous to
Podkletnov's experiment, but based on a firmer theoretical foundation. In
essence, they are <http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/2157975.stm>
spinning a superconductor, which is exactly what Podkletnov claimed produced
an identical -- albeit larger-- result."
STAIF Conference Section-F Chairman Paul Murad made a more direct
comparison, stating, "Is this truly the first time that we've seen this
effect, or has it perhaps already been documented under different
manifestations? Is this the same as Podkletnov's gravity-shielding effect? I
can't help but wonder if these results have been seen in the past in other
experiments, and perhaps were either not reported or instead attributed to
other causal factors..."
With Tajmar's recent publication raising more questions than answers, there
seems to be only one point of clear consensus -- the need for additional
research. Paul Murad summarized the views of many with the statement, "For
the moment, I'm taking a wait and see attitude to see how this research
further develops. We also have to see the experimental setup, possible
environmental & terrestrial sources of error, and a variety of successful
experimental replications before making a determination. We need to see this
reproduced by others before making a final decision."

Hi Everybody:
I should apologize in advance about the sound-quality - this interview I
think is worth it, though. Arie DeGeus is an indy-inventor who came
recommended to me by 3 people:
1. First, Michael McDonnough dropped his research into stimulated beta-decay
technologies in 2003 to form a business partnership to produce Arie's
"Plasmavolt" device, which supposedly uses a rotating plasma-vortex to
create fusion between light-metal nuclei (Lithium, Beryllium, and Boron).
The cathode containing these is the device's fuel, and McDonnough claimed
that not only did it produce 80-watts of output energy for only 50-watts
input, but that after running it on the o-scope for a few months straight,
the byproduct that it produced was Potassium 40-19. (the partnership failed
due to unrelated investor issues)
2. Eugene Mallove had told me repeatedly on the phone about Arie's work, and
said that it was truly remarkable breakthrough technology, but that Arie was
so nervous about taking anything public that they ended up in an argument
every time Mallove broached the subject. He'd told me that if I waited long
enough, Arie would come around to the idea of publicizing his ideas -- this
was one week before he passed, so I kept the idea in mind for a while until
I could put together an interview. Apparently they knew each other quite
well, as Arie describes in our interview.
3. In the process of connecting with Arie, I had the opportunity to speak
with his friend & associate Joe Phelan. Joe indicated stumbling across
Arie's work during work research -- apparently Joe had been following up on
new technologies for an oil company in Texas. After visiting Arie & learning
about his material, Joe became firmly convinced that Arie's research was
real & credible, which eventually led him to leave the oil company after
failing to get financing for Arie's research.

Hi Everybody:
This all started rather innocently: I picked up a copy of the Atlas & MRO
DVD at the STAIF 2006 Conference, which contained a ton of great footage
taken by Lockheed-Martin during the initial launch of the probe in August
2005. I don't follow this kind of work normally, but since NASA is also
doing a live webcast, I've gotten permission from Lockheed to publish both 3
of their clips outlining the science, mission & launch of the spacecraft, as
well as a link to the NASA feed, which presumably will show data from the
craft at 1:24pm PST.
Thus, for anybody on broadband or sitting bored on their office-PC, you'll
be able to get a quick refresher in what this mission is all about, as well
as watching the live NASA footage online as it streams in.
This will be our main-page story for the day, online at American
Antigravity.
