Hi Chris
Thanks for the kind words and the interest in the subject. I will attach
the address of my THOR site in hopes that serious folks like yourself may wish
to help us identify the subject artifact.
(thor-thehuntersohiorock@yahoogroups.com)
If you get on the site and join the group you can brouse the 600 messages
and view the 100 photos and help us confirm the identity of the Ohio Rock. When
you get to the site look in the message search engine for (Facts about rock )
and it should direct you to the information. I need to establish a better
summary sheet for new people which I will attempt to do.
If you do join THOR please introduce yourself as a MRS member in that many
of the THOR members may add information related to the MRS stone.
best regards
William

Hello, William,
No frets about 'distracting' us. The KRS is usually the forefront
subject, but we are all interested in pursuing any and all
cultural inscriptions and evidence for diffusionistic contact
pre-columbus with the rest of the world.
The stone you hold up in the picture is extremely fascinating.
Have you made a tenetive date on it's orginal carving? If so,
how did you ascertain that conclusion? Is there any reason why
you are convinced it is NOT a colonal or Victorian era artifact?
What are the details to how it was found?
Rather than the Sun"dial", is it meant to be just the gnomen to
a very large disc someplace semi-permanent but undiscovered
at this time? Certainly the product of the mold was meant to be
used on land... such a size would be impractical at sea. Has
your research dug up any similar models of that size being used
in Europe or North Africa as examples and origins for the idea to
inspire someone to make such a thing here in N.America?
Bests,
Ms. Chris Patenaude

professional people because, their reputation is on the line.
Most people want to tie it into their own agenda, whether it is
religion or selling magazines.

however my visit to Sweeden and the Island of Gotland and the
study of ancient recorded voyages related to the navigation using
a sun dial may some day provide the proof needed to support
the KRS stone.
