Very, seeing how my main drive on the Amiga is currently (for the time
being) totally bolluxed - trying to get an identical drive to try out a
new main board, as the drive appears to run - but fails to do much more.
Only backups I have for the programs is stored on another system, which
might be available via Amiga Forever, but is at the very least 1 year old.

That is a bit strange...
BTW: If you keep the mouse over the Button, you should get a Bubble with
it telling you where the link goes (At least with the later versions of
NList) - What does that say?
