First, thank you so very much for your wonderful work creating
AmigAIM.  Sometimes, I think I am the last person on earth who still
uses the Amiga for business.  (GFX-cad and Pagestream...)  Anyway, I
recently discovered your software and installed it.  However, I cannot
access any of the settings (They are ghosted out) and no sounds are
generated.  I was a little confused about the 'external' MUI classes,
but I cannot find anything that may be missing.  If you have any
ideas, I would greatly appreciate any response. The program works
impressively otherwise...

Well - I have code that works, but it is so badly written and uncommented
that I'm having to completely research the system again to figure out what
I did the first time (And do something different, as it was very buggy at
the time) - I completely rewrote everything but the File Transfer system
which was left out of the rewrite as it really needed lots of work.  The
original version that I rewrote had been built by adding sections on top
of sections, etc - which made the program very tough to debug and such,
which is why I rewrote it (The code for File Transfer was written several
years ago and barely looked at since, which is why I have to research the
capability again)

As I now have a job, it may be some time before I can really get much more
done on the program.

Perhaps a corrupted MUI class. You might try this...

Reboot. Start your TCP/IP stack. Start SnoopDOS or DOSTrace. Start AmigAIM.
Cross your fingers and examine the output of SnoopDOS or DOSTrace, looking
for failures to open libs or MUI .mccs. Try opening a chat window. Examine
the output again.

I hope this helps. If nothing else, it can eliminate some of the possible
causes.

I have a little problem at the moment. I don't seem to be able to chat to
anyone. I can log on. I can Add Buddies. But I cannot find a window to chat with
them. I cannot find a menu option to chat & double clicking on the buddy name
does nothing. When I right click I select "Send Instant Message" but nothing
happens again (V. 0.9451).

All my libs & classes are the same version as the ones in the Guide bar one &
Textinput.mcc class. I have version 29.2001 & the guide says 29.5 (Rich has
tested the two versions & cannot replicate the problem).

Does anyone else out there have any ideas?
