Hallo Rudolph,
I sold my SE last Spring. It is in working condition and the person
to whom I sold it intended to use it. Not sure if he subscribes to
this list or not.
Interestingly, the SE booted much faster than my XE on which I am
writing this message. Apparently my home network settings make for a
very slow boot. However, the SE had usb problems, even with a hub.
Not sure if I had a Belkin hub but the hub could not help the SE keep
the usb connection. Made transfer of files via a memory stick nearly
impossible. Also, the network connection could be dropped for not
reason and with no warning. Other than those issues, it was working
fine.
If I had had some money I would have accepted the generous swap of
the SE for the XE. Alan made a sweet offer but at the time I had no
resources. I purchased this XE from the original purchaser who had no
time to use it. So far, my XE is doing well.
Will be interesting to see how many still use SE's.
