RE: [amigaone] Re: AmigaOne/Bplan

That is what I never understood. Why don't people just connect
them together?

Yes, we are working to have AmigaDE running on Psion. There will
be more news about this, but I don't know when.

As I see it, the confusion is because to date there has been NO
mention of Eyetech actually SELLING the A1 motherboard as a standalone
board, let alone any pricing for it. As the proud owner of a A2000, I
will be looking at the possibility of buying a standalone A1, and then
networking it to the old girl - the computer, not my girlfriend ;-)

Like most other A2000 users, I have decided that it is pointless
trying to upgrade the computer any further, even if suitable expansion
cards eventually do arrive, like the Z2 AmiJoe, or the almost mythical
Z2 Cyberstorm PPC 604. So I, and a lot of others, are looking at a
standalone solution, but not getting much encouragement so far :-(

So far I have not seen all the announcements made at the banquet, but
I have heard rumours that Psion may indeed be the second PDA
manufacturer, behind Sharp - can you confirm or refute this now,
because I need to know whether or not to start being good in order to
get an AmigaDE equipped Psion for Xmas? ;-)

Bye for now,
Terry
