No more freezing without custom DSDT?   Message List

Hello
One week ago I installed Ubuntu 7.10 beta and noticed it did not
freeze when it started up, also it does not seem to matter if the
driver is ati or radeon, and both shows direct rendering: yes from
glxinfo. However it freezes if I have a network card inserted.
Is a custom DSDT not needed anymore?

Sorry for my bad English and sorry if this is a stupid question ^_^

... ah ok thank you. Thats then what I cought up.. it should be enough to place the "DSDT.aml" into the /boot - but I did not test for sure. ... never tried.....
