Fellow ANS members,

Some people have asked about the exact location of Dr. Edward E. Cohen's
lecture, Money and Sex: Ancient Athenian Banking Scandals, <<temp map.gif>>
on December 9 at 513 Fayerweather Hall, Columbia University.

To get to the main campus of Columbia University, go to 116th Street and
Broadway or 116th and Amsterdam Avenue. "College Walk" connects the two n/s
streets. The 7th Avenue-Broadway IRT 1 or 9 trains will take you to 116th
and Broadway. The number 11 bus stops at 166th and Amsterdam.

The attached map shows Fayerweather Hall in red. You have to use one of the
116th St. entrances to get there.

Dr. Cohen is a trained classicist and a banker with practical experience.
We had a preview of his lecture in this summer's Graduate Seminar. He's an
interesting speaker, and there really will be lots of talk about money, and
some talk about sex (strictly PG level). All are welcome.

Michael Bates
