Dear Sharon,
My news to you is good. The coins is "interesting" and fun. If the designs
are correct; both sides in 'bras relief', coming out of the field, it is a
magicians coin. two coins were taken and one was hollowed out and the other was
reduced just enough to fit in the hollowed out one. They are really defaced
coins made on purpose out side of the mint for amusement. Now! if the coin has
one side in bras relief and the other side 'incuse', going into the surface of
the coin, then it is a 'brockage'. This happens when a struck coin gets stuck
between the dies and acts as a die itself. These are rare and worth a few
hundred dollars. Either way DON'T CLEAN IT!!! Improper cleaning damages coins
and
reduces their desirability.
If I can be of any further help to you, you can contact me directly or
through this site. Keep looking and if you like come join the hobby - its GREAT
fun.
Yours,
Henry Bergos
