I went to a workshop this weekend at which Dr. Sarolta Takács
demonstrated the very impressive search capabilities of the Museum of
Fine Arts, Boston web site. If you go to:

http://mfa.org/collections/search_art.asp

you'll see a few text entry boxes for narrow searches. There is also
a more general "Collection Search" box towards the top-right of the
window. I typed "roman provincial coin" into this and got a list of
1814 pieces, many of which were nicely illustrated.

I thought this site might be of interest to readers so I am passing
the info along.
