RE: AMNUMSOC-L: Freemason Coin

Many Masonic lodges make medals such as what you have.

You're correct that this one is Masonic.

More info on that lodge:

And a group that will probably have much more info:

Subject: AMNUMSOC-L: Freemason Coin

Hi, new to the group,

I have a coin that says "Excelsior Chapter No. 25 R.A.M. Ypsilanti,
Mich" on the front and "Instituted January 8, 1861" on the back. I
believe it is a freemason coin but am having trouble finding any
information about these types of coins. Has anybody heard of these or
know where they might be discussed?
