Re: [amos-list] Re: AMOS Game Extension by Peter Cahill

I can probably hack it and change the extension number, if you decide to use it.

With what you are after it is probably 'easiest' to create your own copperlists (one for each screen) and take things from there.

To compile the extension, you will have to contact the author to get a compilable (registered) version. There is no way to make a uncompilable extension compilable without having access to the ASM source code, or someone who can reliably disassemble the extension.

Hello Sam.

Thanks for the info.
I downloaded the Personnal extension and had a play with it. Some
issues arise though...

1. It takes up extension slot 13 so my PowerBobs Ext will have to go.
2. Has a 'splash screem' and the extension wont compile.
3. To create an AGA dual Playfield display there seems to be a lot of
work involved with custom copper commands. It is not a simple
solution like the OCS/ECS Dual Playfield system.
4. It seems unstable. The included demo 'froze' AMOS a few times.

It does actually work but to use it effectively in a game I suspect
there would be a hell of a lot of work involved.

Thanks for your help on this. It is appreciated, but I think it would
be better to try something else. I have one or two ideas of my own.
If I manage to create something similar myself, I will post the
results here.

Regards, Kev.
