Can we set up the meeting alerts so that there is enough time for people to
respond as to whether or nor they intend to be at the next meeting, and
have someone decide, on the basis of those responses whether there WILL be
a meeting? I got the final meeting notice at 3:30 the day of the meeting.
If I were not working at home that day, I would not have seen it, so the
"final" message has to be received at least a day in advance.

I was hoping to find out at the meeting whether any decision had been made
with respect to AMuse using its treasury to pay NYACC dues. I've been sent
two reminders from NYACC that my dues are due, and I don't want to renew,
only to find that AMuse has already (or intends to) renew on my behalf.

As to an August meeting, Julian I think you'll find a LOT of people on
vacation at that time. SO, before deciding to have such a meeting I would
(again) ask that we poll the membership and find out how many members would
actually attend such a meeting.

As for me, since I was working from home last Tuesday, I wasted:
* $8.00 ($4 each way for the express bus with free subway transfer) and
* four hours (between travel and waiting at NYU)
I would REALLY like to avoid this waste (especially of my time) in the
future.
