Re: plastics in drug blister packaging

From memory (I used to work in the analytical
labs at a pharmaceutical company) high density
polyethylene (HDPE) is a fairly common one, as is PVC (poly
vinyl chloride). Something else I remember is that some
products used to have different plastics on the
inside/outside of blister packs....ie there were two layers on
each piece of plastic.

Interesting that you
were asking for near-IR spectra.......what are you
after? I should imagine that someone somewhere must have
done something like this........try

and try
searching through some electronic journals. Hope these are
of some use to you.....let me know how you get
on?

You could also try out some company websites like
http://www.abbott.com/ http://www.pfizer.com and so
on.......

Best of luck, and don't forget to let us know how you
get on!
