Description

Purpose of this list: To theorize about ancient chronology. The major perspective of this group will be that the Middle Bronze 1 pottery horizon in the Holy Land is the stratum of the biblical Exodus, Conquest, and early Settlement period. See our Files area for outline of New Courville theory.

For purposes of discussion, the Bible is regarded as truthful in its historical narratives in both the Old and the New Testament. However, it is not necessary that all participants be Christians or believe in the Bible, only that they be respectful.

What not to do:

1. No flaming.
2. No attacks against archaeologists or the science of stratigraphy.
3. No appeals to conspiracy theories in ancient history.
4. No discussions of the theories of Gunnar Heinsohn or Anatoly Fomenko.
5. No advertisements.
6. No discussions of creation and Flood, or the theory of evolution.
7. No discussions of eschatology.

What to do:

1. Discuss all topics related to ancient history and chronological revision, from the Old Testament to the New Testament. As defined here, ancient history does not include the Mediaeval period or the American Civil War.

2. Provide citations for your claims. If this rule is not followed, the moderators may return your post for revision.

3. Repetitive posting may be returned for revision. If you've already said something, provide a link to where you said it rather than repeat the same point again and again.

4. Essays on New Courville can be found here:

Re: Challenge Question: the pole change
Just how would anyone at that time figure out that the planet had shifted? Would the stars and planets suddenly move in the sky? Were there "shudders" upon

Remember, guys/gals, specific discussion of the Flood is off topic for this list. If it's chronology related, it can be discussed. Since pole shift is not

Re: Challenge Question: the pole change
I acknowledge the concept of a crustal shift. EIther this or a change in the earth's tilt would explain how such a drastic climate could occur to suddenly

Re: Challenge Question: the pole change
Interesting. My only question is whether the tilt was created at the time of the flood or not? The presumed ice canopy around the earth like a glasshouse

Re: Challenge Question: the pole change
you still don't quite get it. A magnetic field reversal doesn't need a geological change. then there is the tilt of the ENTIRE globe, core and all, or maybe
