I have a reg code, but all my applets have stopped working. Came here to try to
resolve, but apparently that isn't going to help much.

Fabio, if you are just on vacation, please let me know what I need to do. If
there is a time limit to registration codes, I need to know what to do now.

I have a reg code, and my applets all worked at one time. Do I need to purchase
the NEW 2.0 applets to keep my existing applets working?

I just want my old applets to work, I don't care about the newer 3D etc.

Pretty please, let me know what I can do.

I bought my applets in 2004, and they seem to still work fine.

I was hoping someone else would reply. I, too, don't know much about
registering applets as I've only used the free ones.

The group used to be lively, but we started to get a lot of spam and some
bickering about what should and shouldn't be talked about and little by
little communication stopped.

I do know that anyone who has issues with the registration has a hard time
getting help from Fabio. I don't know if it's because no one's actively
there or,...?

From what I've read in the past, there should be no reason why your applets
stopped working unless you changed the URL. Even if you didn't, some
experienced problems like you are having. Others had issues with the program
itself not working on the computer.

One member, Ron, opened his own site for an archive of Anfy topics, help,..
but I think that's also long gone.

Hope someone else can help...Sue

One think I forgot to mention. When I went onto Vista the Anfy exe program
wouldn't work but there was a replacement version in the files section of this
group and that did work fine on Vista and I think I also checked it out for Win
7.
I also only use the free versions and they are all still working fine on my
website.

One simple applet in my home page has been running fine, both offline and via my
provider Planet. This provider, owned by KPN was integrated into the KPN
organisation, apparently also with a change of hosting server. Sice then my
applet won't run anymore. Exactly the same files offline still run fine
(solidscr.jar solidscr.class, lware.class, tribig_f.aft, solidscr6.txt).
Anyone experienced this and can give a solution? KPN was no help so far.

I don't have any applets running online, but I would think that if the URL
changed, that's where the problem lies.

If the URL didn't change, then I hope someone else has some thoughts.

Take care...Sue

The URL didn't change, my website is still accessible on the old address
home.planet.nl/~rvdhof as well as on the new address home.kpn.nl/rvdhof. The
applet doesn't run and shows "runtime error", on whatever computer wherever in
the world I visit my site. Exactly the same files stored locally work well when
opened in the browser, so nothing wrong with my Java plugins. Somehow my
provider blocks transfer of certain files although all files are there. I
checked by ftp-downloading them again.
So, as you say Sue, I hope someone else has some thoughts, my provider was of no
help so far but I keep trying that direction as well.
Best regards,
Richard

I couldn't stand it and kept trying. I got it working at last after renaming the
.aft file to a .txt file and also, of course, making reference to tribig_f.txt
in stead of tribig_f.aft.
Somehow KPN didn't like the .aft extension (???) If only they had told me so,
would have saved me a lot of time.
Anyway, maybe worthwhile for someone else with a "problem"provider ;-)

I just visited this site and I got a message that the java 6 plug-in was
blocked because it's out of date. I had a choice to upgrade or just view it
once. I chose to view it.

Once I did that, the applet was working. I'm seeing text flying up and down
from the middle. Is this the one that wasn't working?

Hope so...Sue :)

OOPS, I'm just catching up on mail and see you already had a fix before I
viewed it.

It's strange though cuz I never had that java message before.

Thanks!
Still strange that the whole thing tripped over the extension .aft
I had a look around and found this:

The AFT file extension primarily signifies that the file to which it is appended
is a data file in the form of a family tree database designed for use with the
Ancestry.com website

On the other hand, the Anfy Team describes their .aft as AnFy FonT format but
since it is just a simple text file everything keeps working when the extension
of this file is renamed to .txt

I hope this experience if of some value to the AnfyTeam.

many of the applets (thank you).
At the time, they worked just fine but now, when I view the site, the applets

Since I use quite a few of them on the site, it's rather annoying. Can someone

Hi,
I only see white space around the applets when applying the zoom-in function in
Firefox 4.0.1. When selecting View > Zoom > Initialise (Ctrl+0) everything gets
back to normal again.
Is this what you experience as well?

Hi Tony,
Why don't you write to the Anfy people and ask them?  A lot of things change
through the course of time.  Companies make products a lot smaller because of
how the economy is going.  I loved the Anfy applets program and used it a lot
on my Macintosh, but then Anfy decided not to support the Mac platform.  So, I
had to find other sources of applets and or work with Windows only.  I hope
they give you an answer to your question.  Good luck.

I've updated to the latest java. When i visit www.anfyteam.com, the water applet
displays. But after downloading the program, the applet wont display when
following the example link in the program. And same with an older page i made
with the anwater applet - it wont display.

It pops up "An add-on for this website failed to run."

I am using IE9. I have tried compatibility view. I have run the anfyteam page
that works in one tab, while running the hard drive based page that doesnt work,
in another tab in the same window.

I have also checked the box in IE9 Advanced options "Allow active content to run
in files on My Computer".

Thanks for all help!

I have a problem similar to others.

I have used Anfy Java applets in the past but now some seem not to work online.

This 'WARP' feature

is great on my home computer... but when I use it online

I contacted the IT team at my host and the paths etc. are OK and the host
provides for Java so it isn't blocked by them.

Any help would be great.
I am using the latest Opera browser for testing plus IE7.

I hope they fix whatever it is as the effects are great when they work!

Hi there
Please Help as I think I am going mad.
Can something explain where I am going wrong.
www.morrisonlife.com

I did get it working a week ago but it won't work on my samsung galaxy phone. It
all works great on all browsers.

I want to have a banner photo replacing the banner applet for when that will not
work (as it won't for some Galaxy and other smartphones even though they all
have Java built in).

Here is the end of the parameters section of a banner slideshow which I use at
the top of the page and I use an iframe link to each page.

The end part is:
<param name="MinSYNC" value="30"> <img src="1.jpg" width="1024"
height="160" border="0" colspan="4"
valign="top" align="left" xpos="2">. 				 </applet></td>

I have that on a page called menu.html in the root directory at the server.
This is the iframe I use for each page on the website:
<iframe src="menu.html" width="1024" height="190" align="center" frameborder="0"

Se me hasque Fabio es una persona muy caprichosa y quizas no exista. Hey, will
you people at Anfy ever make your applets available for usins who use the
Macintosh platforms, like you once did? It'd be really nice if you do that!
Thank you. -KD
