                Hi ~ When I was a kid I trained a set of hamshire barrows to pull a coaster wagon..We hitched the goat to the wagon & did all kinds of things with the ponies,but we were past the time when animal power was generally used...I have a clipping of a guy who had a fancy spotted harness made for some large barrows & a fancy hitch wagon...about as odd as the 20 sheep hitch that was made up by someone looking for fun...
                      We are going backwards as fast as others are going "foreward"...  My ponies are a practicle size for the hilly area we live in that is more for "patch " gardening than field work..Its much like the small farm -- peasant farming where the ponies were originally developed in Europe or the small mule here..Its easier for me to handle this size at my age...  It seems we need each other for encouragement...  GrannieD
