I started my calf!!   Message List

A few monthgs ago I was talking to some people in here about starting a
oxen team and I have just now started one half of my team. She is a
she.. which I know is not traditional, but if we have steers we need to
eat them. This way she can be a triple purpose animal and give us a
calf, milk and help around our homestead.

She is half Jersey and half Gelvieh and she was born on the 28th of
May. Due to a stupid incident on her mother's part, her mother is now
in the freezer and the baby "Blossom" is bottle fed as well as on 4
milk goats. She does not care where the milk comes from.. as long as
she can get to it.

I have her halter broken already and we go for walks. I am picking her
feet up and making sure to brush her most every day.

I think I am going to have alot of fun with this.
