OFT-STOLEN CATTLE MUTILATION BOOK NOW ONLINE
In Great Falls, Mont. -- where ranchers have been hit by cattle
mutilations for decades -- a popular book on the subject has been stolen
from the library so often that the single remaining copy is not allowed out
of the building. "It's one of the most stolen books we have," says John
Dinn, the library's information services chief in a Nov. 18 Great Falls
Tribune article. "We tried to order more, but it's out of print." The good
news is that the National Institute of Discovery Science, which takes great
interest in the weird mutilations, has re-published the book online. Keith
Wolverton and Roberta Donovan's "Mystery Stalks the Prairie" can now be read
or downloaded at the NIDS Web site. The local sheriff's office tells the
Great Falls Tribune that the latest reported mutilation was a month ago,
outside Dupuyer, Mont.
