Just saw this recent report that there may be damage on the Shuttle, in an area not unlike the area where failure before proved catastrophic. This is just breaking so there is bound to be more info. Earlier inspections had not noticed this damage. Luckily there is a kit aboard this Shuttle to repair small damaged areas. Let's hope it's just one small area that is not critical to any moving parts.

Note this mission has critical CMG (Gyroscope) replacement for the ISS. The CMG is a huge object and that was one of the largest objects that was needed for the Shuttle to deliver for the safety of the ISS. Since they have docked, it seems that portion of the mission may be accomplished safely. The danger to the Shuttle should be mainly during re-entry and landing. Hopefully there has been no damage to the landing systems themselves.
