Hi All

I have a problem about anybody in the parameters of muscle and tendon.

This link is attached to a common parameter of muscle.
http://www.yousendit.com/download/MnFnclVNcklRR2VGa1E9PQ

But I do not know the parameters in muscle Anybody in general is the belief in
the existence?

If I want to change the parameters of the muscles of the National believes Asia
Possible?

How can I know the value of those parameters? Determine how they are?

I hope you will recommend.

Thank You

Hi,

AnyBody uses three different muscle models:

AnyMuscleModel
AnyMuscleModel3ELin
AnyMuscleModel3E

I think i have understood the difference between these three models and I'm
using mainly the AnyMuscleModel and the AnyMuscleModel3E, as the results are
mainly in a good range.

But I have a question regarding the optimization algorithm. Am I right with the
assumption that I can choose for each of theses models one of the following
algortihm in AnyBody?

- Polynomial criteria
- Soft saturation criteria
- The min/max criterion

As I know from the work of Forster, 2003, the results can be quite different
between linear or a quadratic solver solution.

Is my assumption right, that the min/max criterion is the simplex solver? If
then, what is the addition for example MinMaxNRsimplex for?

If I want to apply a quadratic algorithm I have to change the Penalty form LP to
QP, but what influence has then the simplex solver?

As I see mainly the MinMaxNRSimplex solver in the models of the repository, it
is advisable to use a quadratic solver? Is it beacuse the simplex solver is more
efficient and robust?

I hope you can make this more clear to me.

Best regards,

THomas

Dear Support,

Hello.

For presentations, sometimes I want to change the background color of AnyBody
Model View.

I know about "Any Scean" function. "Any Scean" can change the background color
of ".png" format images taken by

"AnyCamRecorder ".
But the background color of AnyBody Model View is not changed at that times.

If possible, I could get other background color images easily with some capture
software.

Message #469 says,
>It is not possible to change the background color, in the version you
>have, but it will be part of the next release which will be relaese
>soon.

Now, is there any way to change the background color of AnyBody Model View ?

Hello Changwei,

The repository has lots of examples that are dynamic. The motion of the model
comes either from a motion capture experiment or from connecting the model to a
moving environment, such as in the case of the bicycle, or from a combination of
these.

The loads can either come from force platform measurements or from boundary
conditions where the model it attached to the surroundings.

Best regards,
John

Hi Simon,

You can use an AnyKinEqInterPolDri ver for that kind of motion. One driver
for each DOF. You can writte the joint angle value depending on time in a
text file and use it as input for the driver, the time steps where you want
the joint to be fixed will have a constant angle value.

I want to known how I can simulate two successively motions in knee joint.
The first motion is the flexion of knee ( This is simple) and the second is
the rotation on X axe. We must do this second movement after the fisrt one
and the Thigh (femur) is fixed during the two movements.

Hello Xu,
Your subject is very complex but most important. I have never done, but I
think,it could be done.
For a dynamic environment, you can look for the example of the Bike(The movement
of Wheel and crank) ; for human motion, look for Lunge,Gaitunimiami or runner.
And then, try to combine both.

Just include the in the main file. To keep it readable include it with the
use of an additional include file. Apply some flexion to the knee (in the
Joints and Drivers file) to see the force that's created in the ligament.

The crucial point is to find the right slack length.

Hope this helps you to move on.

Best regards,

Sebastian

Hi Sebastian

I have problem about build ligament. If I have node will build node for
insertion node and origin node, but How I don't know build ligament. In head
of AnyViaPointLigament and AnyLigamentModelPol where I don't know put it of
in anybody file (kneeload.main.any).

This time step one I try edit code easy for build node ligament. I don't
know real parameter of node, but I will make sample it.You can advice me
about write code of ligament.I would like example for build ligament in
anybody file (kneeload.main.any).
or you can explain step of build ligament.

I study of follow this link
http://www.anybodyt <http://www.anybodytech.com/index.php?id=682>
ech.com/index.php?id=682
and study Demo.Ligament.any ,but How I don't know edit code in anybody file
(kneeload.main.any)

Thank you

Hi Simon,

You can use an AnyKinEqInterPolDriver for that kind of motion. One driver
for each DOF. You can writte the joint angle value depending on time in a
text file and use it as input for the driver, the time steps where you want
the joint to be fixed will have a constant angle value.

Hello !!

I want to known how I can simulate two successively motions in knee joint.
The first motion is the flexion of knee ( This is simple) and the second is
the rotation on X axe. We must do this second movement after the fisrt one
and the Thigh (femur) is fixed during the two movements.

Hi Sungwoo,

Yes you can analyse jumping motion in AnyBody. The fact of the body being
separated from the ground during the motion is not a problem. In the
repository there is a Runner model you refer to, the model is kind of
jumping forward and durring a moment have no connection with the ground.
During this phase the body is carried by a reaction force on the pelvis,
this reaction force normaly helps to balance the remaining forces between
the ground reaction forces and the body weight (it can never be perfectly
balanced without it).

For the marker set you can use the same as for gait for example. In general
we always say the more markers the better. The foot is the moredifficult to
drive, make sure to have at least three (heel, toe tip and one lateral),
that is the minimum to drive it correctly.

Sylvain, AnyBody Support

Hi, all

I want to analyze motion captured by MOCAP in ANYBODY. In repository7, I
guess I can refer GaitUniMiami or Lunge model. But what i'm gonna analyze is
jumping motion. I think it is little different from those two motions
because the body will be separated from the ground in jumping motion. Can I
analyze this in ANYBODY? If I can, then what kind of marker set can you
recommend to me when I capture the motion and which example I can refer for
easy analysis?

Thank you!

Best regard,
Sungwoo Park.

Hi Naoko,

Currently this type of upper bound is not available in the system. But it is
actually planned to be implemented in the next version of AnyBody4. In the
first go it should be an upper bound for the MaxMuscleActivity, that means
it will concern all muscle and not one particularly. However it should be
possible to extend it later as individual bound for each muscle.

The reason why this was not implemented before is that we wanted the
analysis to perform until the end in all cases and at the same time verify
if the model was able to do it on is own. So we allowed the muscle to exert
a larger force than F0. When this over activity occurs it means that the
model is too weak to perform the given task.

The interesting point of allowing over activity is that we can have an idea
of how much strength the model is missing for this particular task.

As we don't want to get completely rid of the over activity facility, the
upper bound in version 4 will be optional and its level adjustable.

Best regards,

Sylvain, AnyBody Support

Dear Support,

Hello.
Thank you for your answer about "If.." function.

Next I would like to know about restriction of muscle force.
The model I would like to make is:
when the force of a certain muscle becomes a limit value, it doesn't become
larger anymore, that is the muscle force is less than the limit value during
the motion.
It means to restrict the maximum force of a certain muscle.

For example, "arm2d.any" in tutorial/StudyOfStudies,
the muscle "BicepsLong" is defined as MusMdl.F0 = 300.
And in the motion , the value of BicepsLong.Activity becomes larger than
1.0, it changes between 0.88 and 1.14. It means "BicepsLong" muscle force
becomes over 300.
Is it possible to restrict value of BicepsLong.Activity to less than 1.0
with any function ?
If it is , other muscles might share the force at that time.

And are there any other functions concerning this ?

Thank you.

Regards,
Naoko

Hi, AnyBodyTech

Could anybody simulate the human model in a certain dynamic environment? the
environment is not static. For instance,in real life, people exercise on the
treadmill. For this model, how could anybody make it?
Thanks a lot in advance.

Thanks, Sylvain

Then, is it different sequence from other joints like revolute and spherical?

Hi Kapsoo,

The three last components [3,4,5] of the AnyStdJoint reaction correspond to
the moments, respectively Z moment, Y moment and X moment.

Hi, Anybody

I have a question on measuring the reactions in Anystdjoint.
Are the last three components[3,4,5] in reactions representing the moments?

Thanks
