I am also a teacher. I recently (September 1999) became A+ certified and,
while I am no expert on ALL available text books. I really liked the two
that I used.
David Groth has a book set that is really good (my opinion) and the test sim
(included) is very similar to the real deal.
I also used the New Riders text (it is really an entire course - very
comprehensive - on a single cd rom) Nice format!
I used Examcram's A+ book (wasn't as good as I have seen from other tests I
have prepared for)
The ABSOLUTE BEST source of knowledge I gained was from actually taking
computers apart and putting them back together again, while using the above
texts as a resource. THIS IS THE WAY TO GO!!!!
I don't know if this will be helpful to you, but this method sure helped me
get through both exams on the first try! Good luck to you, I admire your
desire to provide your students with such an exemplary education. A+ for
your effort ;-) (Please pardon my pun.)

Hi,
I am a high school teacher from Michigan. I have a repair class that I
teach and thought it would be helpful to teach the students the
information needed for the initial A+ certification. Can another
suggest what my best approach would be? I am interested in a text book
that would cover this information. I purchased a cd for the A+ test,
but there are only sample questions on it, would like something a bit
more specific in a teaching atmosphere.
I have looked over the content for the test and do cover it in bits and
pieces throughout the term. It would be nice to get some advice from
the experts.
Thanks,
Anna B.
